MP3 sounds also depend upon their bitrate. The higher the bitrate the more clear and louder the sound will be. Use some high bitrate MP3's and try. You can also try enhancing the inbuilt volume of MP3's by some softwares like MP3trim etc.

Karki man, There are 2 files for Group sms - GroupSMS.cab & GroupSMSver1.4.5.cab. Which one to use? And is it compatible with WM6.1 (Hetal G Rom) Also if we disable icontacts by registry hack, is there some way to get it back.

How To Backup 2 Pocket Pcs To 1 Computer (microsoft Outlook)
dkaile replied to dkaile's topic in HTC
Thanks, will try it and let everyone know... -
Maybe a hard reset can solve the problem (obviously after backing up your data)
-
wow 32 downloads. If anybody likes these ringtones, pls say thanks.... BTW you have to copy them in Windows\Rings folder in Pocket PC

@manuj - This thing of power closing is also with me, but it happens only the first time and only if you dont use the phone immediately after switching on. Maybe it is inbuilt feature to prevent accidental switching on the phone in your pocket. If you start using immediately or switch on 2nd time, the phone recognises that you want to use it and doesnt get off. But it is an irritant. I dont use word completion so cant tell about that. With such a loaded ROM, Pocket PC tends to hang sometimes but only if you use too many things too many times. You will gradually see that this problem diminish. It is normal to reset the phone once a week or so. @manit - I hope you are using a 6800 as your profile shows 6700. it will work only on 6800. Just go to google Maps on the GPS tab on the today's screen. After opening scroll to you area (India-Mumbai). then click Use GPS in Menu. It works without any additional settings (at least it did in mine) My problems: 1. RWorld not working (RConnect is working) 2. Messaging in chat mode (like iphone) on WM 6.1 is taking a little getting used to. 3. Windows Media Player 10 is not playing songs correctly. It plays preview for 5-6 seconds and skips to next song and so on (very very strange). However the HTC Audio Player is working beautifully (ipod like) Do let me know if anybody else is facing similiar problems.

Friends, Help required for RWorld settings et al, pls help

-First of all 6800 has a full fledge sliding QWERTY keyboard (also on S720) besides a touchscreen. There is no difference in speed/time consuming using a keypad/touchpad. Beleive me I have been using similiar screens for over 2 years now. It is just a matter of time to getting used to it. -Conference call does not make any difference whether on touchscreen or keypad. -6800 is fully operable on Reliance. Read programing topics. I had mine running after a few minor glitches within 30 minutes. -Speakerphone on 6800 though not very loud is distinctively clear (but I have heard louder speakerphones) but It is better than S720's. MP3 is very clear.

How To Configure Blackberry Pearl 8130 Bought From Usa On Reliance Network?
dkaile replied to mister_raj's topic in BlackBerry
First of all dont open 2 topics for the same subject. Secondaly, Blackberry is one of the toughest nut to crack in terms of programming to get the essentials required to make it up and running on other CDMA networks other than the one it was configured for. AFAIK I dont think it is possible as of now. However do wait and watch for sometime. One of our gurus might have some positive answer. -
Just to inform all, my GPS is working just fine on 6800, here in Meerut on Google maps on this ROM WITHOUT DOING ANY ADDITIONAL SETTINGS AT ALL. I just caught 6 sattelites. (I thought that was not possible on 3.5 Radio)
-
Rather than spending 16-17000 on HTC S720 which is just a smartphone go for a Moghul 6800 which Sadik Bhai has imported for around the same price which is much more superior and one of the best Pocket PC Phones in the world today. You will get all that you have mentioned and much much more (GPS being one)

Uploaded G Rom (with old Radio 3.5, I did not load the leaked Sprint 3.49 ROM), working fine except for few minor irritants. 1. Rworld not working - help needed 2. HTC Home settings not available- to change - needed 3. Font of HTC Home Clock needed like that of HTC Touch 4. I have iphone dialer (iphone_nargz.cab) - Is it compatible with Windows Mobile 6.1? 5. Compatible Group SMS software needed (like SKB SMS) Help Hetal/Karki/Sadik Regards and Thanks in advance...

I need urgent help to connect my Nokia 6265 on my Windows XP SP3 Laptop. Sorry, I tried searching the entire forum but could not find a resolution, hence opening the new topic. I have installed the latest Nokia PC Suite. I can transfer all my contacts etc. via PC Suite. My phone gets properly detected and in the Phone & Modems settings also, Nokia Modem is detected on com9. I have also entered the extra initialisation string command 'at+crm=1;+cso=33", but to no avail. When I query the modem in the Phone & Modem settings, it gets properly detected. I have created a new dialup connection with #777 and my 10 digit Reliance no. as user name and password. BUT I keep getting error 628 when I try to connect and it does not get connected. Pls help....

Finally found solution. Went to Webworld - Duffers there - No solutions. Seems that the Nokia PC Suite itself was creating the problem. Uninstalled PC Suite. Deleted Nokia modem and Network Connection. Restarted PC. Directly connected Nokia 6265 to DKU2 cable, without any drivers. It detected phone and asked to connect to internet to download the drivers. Let it do that. It automatically searched the drivers on the internet (5 min on broadband). Modem installed automatically. Asked me to download PC Suite - Avoided that. Created new Network connection. Fed the AT commands I have detailed above-again. And Voila it got connected. But what the heck, Nokia software incompatible with Nokia phone. **LL **IT

Htc Mogul Ppc 6800 & Htc Mogul Touch Ppc 6900! Cons, Prons, Issues, Reviews, Etc.!
dkaile replied to dkaile's topic in HTC
^^^^ For voice privacy - there is setting in settings-phone. But I suggest you keep it off otherwise your call receivers will hear a echo sound. For Contact Pictures - try taking the pictures from the phones camera and use them, there may be resolution incompatibility problem from other sources. Your speaker phone problem is very unique, AFAIK the speaker phone of Touch is better than the Mogul. -
^^^^ Yes, but you may also need HTC Diagnostic USB Modem Drivers, which you can download from the cracking-6800.rar link from the Dummies Guide forum @deogan - If your problem gets solved, then do leave a reply in this thread for the benefit of the other members facing similiar problem
-
^^^^ Could you please also provide link to previous version of ROM, as that link has been overwritten by the new ROM.

As I repeated in another forum- I think these Nokia & Samsung handset are just too overpriced for the features they are giving. I would suggest people to try Spice C-810 @6K which is having more features and bang for the buck vis-a-vis these Nokia/Samsung/LG. For persons looking for a even better handset, go for a 6800 (Moghul)/6900 (Touch) Pocket PC's which Sadik is importing at just 5-6K additional cost over this Nokia and Samsung.
-
I think you will first have to install CDMA USB Modem and its drivers and then try connecting according to the instructions on the enclosed file See the Attached Files CDMA_USB_Modem_Usage.doc CDMA_USB_Modem.zip

Except the office cabs, rest everything is working fine, or was previous ROM more stable? Was Office working fine in the previous ROM? Pls keep updating review of this ROM, as new users like me will be installing this ROM as soon as we get the phones in our hands. Regards to all the Columbuses...
