  3. I received the OTA today morning and downloaded it through WiFi. It upgraded my Android Version to 2.3.4 and The Software number to 2.08.651.2. Took about half an hour, so be patient. Everything seems OK till now.

  10. But, I doubt the actual usefulness for a person owning a costly imported handset. This seems best for emergency use only. Anyone on costly handset, best is to opt for post-paid as of now.
  11. Samsung Galaxy S II

@koolk - you are a true sindhi as rajan said in another post. As I said in another post your entire process must have taken 15 days. Not everyone has the time. Like I said there - I had a feeling to buy S2 one fine morning, went to my sammy distributor friend a few hours later, paid him 28.5K he asked and started using the phone. You will save 2.8K more with the sindhi technique or be left with a hdd that you may or may not need...lolz
  12. All Kind of Softwares

@raghav.cn - its a 2 minute job; type disk management in search bar; open it; right click on your drive; choose shrink volume to your desired size.
  13. @sajokj - yes, its still available if you have the "sindhi" acumen as Rajan said... lolz... I didnt have the patience to first buy a hdd, sell it, then wait for the coupon, then buy S2; I presume the entire process must have taken 15 days. 14. @va - As someone else suggested, if data usage is primary to you better shift to post-paid and get a requisite mdn based plan like 99 or 199 worth one; evdo is being activated through amit jain here - For Rworld username/pw as is detailed in this topic (which is different from mdn) you should be on some rworld plan but then tomorrow NUC may jump in so its better to stay away from them. And yes, you can change your username and pw directly from an android phone's epst without connecting to a pc.
  15. Samsung Galaxy S II

^ the explanation is not clear; kindly give me rajan's exact post (difficult to search...lolz) or do u mean to tell me that I have to first buy a hdd for 3K extra... lolz edit: OK, got it; without the hdd its still 28.7K i.e. more than 28.5K and I did not need any hdd....
  16. Samsung Galaxy S II

^ 25700/-?? Is it brand new sealed pack? And with Indian bill and warranty?
  17. Samsung Galaxy S II

Thanks Sogatadc for the info. I presume its free and its now directly available to download from the market - https://market.android.com/details?id=com.led.notify&hl=en
  18. Welcome to the Samsung Android Family and unadulterated Google. Enjoy...
  19. @VA - Its really not rocket science to program your android for data; just search the different topics going around and most problems get sorted out; Secondly after putting mdn as username and pw you should have opted for a proper data plan and you would have been charged accordingly; your dad's phone is coming busy as you have not enabled evdo on it, when there is a specific topic running for that for people wanting to enable evdo, after which there are no such issues; look around, ask for help and solve your issues...
  20. @PKC19 - Welcome to 3VO Club...
  21. ^ I personally have stopped using Rworld username/pw and would advice all to do so too and I use MDN based un/pw and netconnect plan. I get better speeds on evdo and no "danger" of being charged for NUC when I wake up one fine morning (believe me, its happened to my friends)
  22. @mgdelhi - Thanks Mukesh ji; that will be the eventual upgrade but right now not ready to chuck out the very good 6CD MP3 changer coming in my car. In fact I have seen a very good custom fit system by MMI at about 27k with inbuilt Maps (MMI is supposedly better than Satguide), navigation, BT, DVD, 6.5" Touchscreen, USB, Aux In, etc. etc. So for now searching for an option (4-5k) just to play my music via usb/aux in and if BT is there, more the merrier (I am not a BT talker anyways as I hate wearing those Star Trek dongles in my ears... lolz) but BT does add the bling...
