  1. Yes, Tanveer. Though I later found I could have got Google Nexus One at the same price after discount (around 13.5K) from another ebay seller, which I still consider to be a overall better package than defy. I will definitely give a short review here as soon as I receive the phone by courier in a day or two.
  2. ^ I believe that's a known issue in android though there are some workarounds which are not perfect - https://market.android.com/details?id=com.opensystem.record
  3. Need Suggestions For GSM Android Phones

^ Looks a splendid deal. Better than Defy that I bought. I tried calling that chap today but he didnt answer his cellphone. Just update upon receipt of your phone whether it is sealed pack, original, new (not refurbished) and factory unlocked. Edit: He also called me back and gave me same info as you have given below.
  4. Some new finds - EVO 3D has a Task Manager under apps to kill unnecessary apps open (cool) It has a Clean Cache Setting under Settings-SD & phone storage-Make more space It has latest version of Swype Keyboard in-built (To activate, just do a long press in any text input box and toggle input type between Standard and Swype Keyboard. This Swype version also has a trace feature.) Amongst other things it has - 3D Games: A portal for 3D games from Gameloft. Blockbuster: Streaming movies. HTC Hub: Once you're signed in, you'll see things that your "HTC Friends" (ie other people on HTC Hub) are sharing, including apps and pictures, plus back up preferences on HTC's servers. NASCAR: Go fast, turn left. It's a Sprint staple. Mirror: A fun little front-facing camera app that acts as a mirror. You're so vain. Peep: HTC's own Twitter app. Polaris Office: A decent office software app. Qik Video: The old-school video chat app. Spider-Man 3D: Gameloft's Spider-Man game ... in 3D. Actually enjoyable. Sprint Hotspot: Wifi tethering. Sprint Radio: Internet radio. The Green Hornet 3D: The movie ... in 3D TeleNav GPS Navigator: A Google Maps alternative Some useless Sprint apps can now be removed (read bloatware)

  16. *UPDATE* Updated my Friends Phone to CM7 (Gingerbread 2.3.4). Followed the Full Update Guide here - http://wiki.cyanogen...ll_Update_Guide The phone was in bricked state when my friend brought it to me. Luckily it was going into download mode only. So first of all I odin'ed it back to 2.2, tutorial for this one here - http://www.techlivez...d-2-2-tutorial/ Then I flashed it CM7. Please remember that the CM7 update files need to be in internal memory and not sd card as the phone does not recognize sd card till cm7 is fully flashed. Now on Cyanogenmod 7 RC1, this phone has just turned into a Ferrari from a Ambassador.... lolz...
  17. They are returning money IN doubles; First I received back that previous 222/- TWICE back into my account; They again made an unauthorised deduction of Rs. 19/= for sms1p pack which I had discontinued. raised another complaint. They returned back that 19/- also TWICE plus also received a phone from their Mumbai Head office apologizing. Now I gave the lady a piece of my mind as to why Reliance has nowadays started these fraudulent practices which never happened before. They are trying to raise revenues by all illegal means. She said she will pass my suggestion to main corporate care. Now, I feel they are basically trying to shut OUR mouth's by giving us double refunds and they would like to keep on fleecing the 99.9% other majority using reliance.
  18. EVDO Reactivation / Shifting To New Device

^ I presume (please note this, not 100% sure) that once evdo is activated on new handset, only changing PPP UN and PW to the new MDN should also get the evdo up and running on the old handset for the new buyer. Hetal to confirm this...

My Epic was hanging too; I deleted lots of useless apps and it seems to be back on track; We keep on adding apps whether we need them or not, that can be one of the causes of hanging.
