Reliance EVDO is one the finest than any service provider I have seen in my area, gsm or cdma. Sanjay ji's issue is definitely area based. My wife had a DAPO number and had issue with data recently when she shifted to Verizon Note 2. It was solved by Hetal and now has same 2~2.5Mbps speeds round the clock.

^ Yes, it's a known issue but is solved by a hard reset. Why are you jumping the gun by not first doing a hard reset. If that fails proceed for replacement. Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk
-
^ Factory reset usually solves this issue. Otherwise 4.4 Kitkat is also out for most HTC One models. That is also supposedly solving the issue. I don't think its a hardware issue.

Samsung Site & Support : http://www.samsung.c.../SPH-D710ZKASPR User Guide : http://org.downloadc..._User_Guide.pdf & here - http://www.samsung.c.../SPH-D710ZKASPR Engadget Review : http://www.engadget....g-touch-review/ The Mammoth in hand: Stock Photos: Initial Observations- 1. Build quality is plasticky but top notch; Very Very light feel in hand 2. 4.52" Super AMOLED Plus screen is brilliant but colours slightly over saturated than Super LCD of EVO3D 3. The size is just too big and any bigger will be difficult to handle in normal human hand 4. The sound quality is just brilliant 5. The 8MP camera is just brilliant and better than EVO3D but no 3D effects here. It can take videos with flash light ON. 6. Google Talk Video works for 1st time for me on any stock rom. It is on 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) 7. One hand handling feels cumbersome to me though my friend Dj says just the opposite. 8. The soft key buttons work perfectly for a change (unlike the original Epic) and just like an HTC 9. I miss the Sense interface of the EVO3D though the Touchwiz is quite improved from its predecessors 10. We can easily set lock-screen photo of our choice though it is not that customisable like HTC sense 11. GPS locking is now without any error and very fast like HTC 12. 16GB in built memory + option to add upto 32GB micro sd card 13. NO dedicated camera button unlike the 3VO 14. Notification light is now present in Galaxy S2 15. Humongous 1800mah battery 16. Default voice settings already on EVRC B 17. Its superfast. A little faster than the 3VO. 18. The fonts look quite big due to lower resolution than the 3VO but that should be taken as a positive as its easy on the eye and an ideal SENIOR CITIZEN Phone... Everything looks so BIG. 19. The patterned battery cover and all plastics are of the highest quality only attainable by Samsung. 20. Unique Voice Talk and Driving Mode from Samsung reminds me of the SIRI What I don't like: 1. Overly plasticky and light. Feels like it can slip out of hand easily due to lightness. 2. Over saturation of colours (in some photos). Videos just look unbelievable. 3. Unrefined interface compared to HTC. But 3rd party options like Go Launcher and Launcher Pro Plus ko bhi to sales deni hai...lolz 4. Lack of bluetooth file transfer drivers (big defect from Samsung). I am unable to transfer files to my laptop on Windows 7 from the S2 via bluetooth. Update: Bluetooth is working perfectly. There were some driver problem in my PC. 5. Notchy EVDO speeds compared to HTC. Still does a respectable 1.2~1.5MBps here in Meerut (refer screenshot) 6. ##DATA# can reset data settings if you go into EVDO settings from the phone. Be careful with that. 7. No headset in box (cost cutting nowadays?) 8. No kickstand aka Motorola photon or the original Evo. Even with these, it still remains the MOST DESIRABLE SMARTPHONE in the world at the moment. It's sales numbers are proof of that. I may have a little critical view as my expectations from the S2 were sky-high... Do this: 1. Change Proxy to 0.0.0.0 to enable YouTube Playback on EVDO by doing this - http://www.rimweb.in...026#entry237026 Edit 09-08-2012 2. Fix GPS issue after official ICS update FF18 - Now for some PHOTOS: The Box The Box opens in 3 layers The Box contents and completely unboxed The 1800mah Battery The Front and the Back The Left, Bottom, Right and Top The battery door opened, The Camera and the Speaker The Volume Buttons, 3.5mm Jack, Power Button & Micro USB jack The Lock Screen, Top edge (Notice the Front camera, Sensors and LED Light), Bottom Edge (Notice the Thinness) & Bottom Menu

This is a short story written by Dr Kishore Shah….he is a gynaecologist in Pune and a very gifted writer….enjoy this extremely funny story :- My wife is an ENT Surgeon while I am a Gynaecologist. This can lead to some complications, as I recently learned to my anguish. A General Practitioner called me up and told me that she is sending a patient of hers for an abortion. Unknown to me, she had also referred a female with earwax for removal of the wax to my wife. I duly informed the receptionist to send the patient right in as she was expected (and expecting!) As Murphy lays down the laws of our hospital, it was but natural that the patient who wanted the wax removed from her ear, landed up with me. This is the conversation that I had with the patient. “Please come in. Be seated.” I said with a big smile. I always have a big smile, when I am going to earn some money. The patient gave a feeble smile and sat hesitantly on the edge of the chair. “Relax.” “Doctor, will this hurt a lot?” “Not at all.” The patient relaxed visibly. “You know something, Doctor, we tried removing it at home, but failed.” I was shocked. “Thank God. Trying this at home can cause serious complications.” “I first tried to remove it by jumping up and down, but it just wouldn’t budge.” I smiled and said, “If it were that easy, who would need doctors?” She gave a cute smile and said, “Yeah! My neighbour tried to remove it with his finger, but the hole is so small that he used a hair pin.” “Oh my God!” “Yes! My mother even tried a matchstick.” My blood pressure was shooting skywards. I just sputtered without uttering a word. “Tell me, doctor, how do I avoid getting this dirt inside me?” I knew that it was an unwanted pregnancy, but calling it dirt was too much. I replied a bit angrily, “There are tablets which can prevent this happening. Or you could use protection at night.” Now it was the patient’s turn to be confused, “You mean to say that it happens only at night?” I saw her point. “No! No! I meant anytime of the day, whenever you are in the mood, you should use protection.” She was even more confused, “It depends on my moods?” Again I saw her point. “My mistake. You need not be in any sort of mood. It just happens.” “My neighbour advised me to go to one of those chaps who sit by the roadside.” “You mean that pin man?” “Yeah!” This neighbour of hers seemed to be a very dangerous man. Besides using pins, he was sending her to such quacks. The only safety he knew was among the pins. “You were wise not to heed his advice.” “But I tried his other advice. He told me to put warm oil inside and wait. However, that also did not work.” This was getting more and more bizarre. Her neighbour deserved to be locked up either in a padded cell or a barred one. “But have you taken your husband’s permission?” Now the patient looked confused. “Do I have to take my husband’s permission? Because if you need his sign, he is working in Dubai. We were not able to meet for the last one year.” It was my turn to be shocked. I gave a sly smirk. It was one of ‘those’ cases. The pin-wielding neighbour seemed to me the usual suspect. I reassured her. “No! No! The husband’s sign is not at all needed.” “However, I did inform him on phone.” Her husband seemed to me a very broad-minded fellow. I didn’t know whether to congratulate her or to commiserate with her. So I hastily turned to other aspects. “Its good that you came a bit early.” “Actually I wanted to come early in the morning, but I had some other work.” “Oh! I did not mean early today. I meant that if you had delayed this removal, it would have started moving. Then it would have developed a heartbeat.” The patient was staring at me wide eyed as if watching a horror movie. Looking at her face, I decided that she was not fit to listen to the grotesque details. I decided to relieve her a bit. I said, “You will bleed a bit, but only for a few days.” By now, the poor patient was trembling, “how-H-How much bleeding?” “Oh, only slightly more than your menstrual period, and it will continue only for a week or so.” By now the patient was clutching her hair in her fingers and staring wide eyed. I asked her soothingly, " why don't you lie down on the table, remove your clothes and relax. This was the final straw. She didn't even wish me goodbye. I just saw a blur of motion leaving my consulting room in top speed. Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk

Got the 4.4.2 KitKat Update today. But ran into major trouble after install. Most probably due to new radio being flashed the phone went into activation mode after a restart and downloaded back all sprint settings and prl. The cdma mode was showing no network and only gsm mode was working. Had to reflash my phone (thanks to Hetal's program FlashPhone) and got back all my Reliance settings and everything is back to normal including evdo. And no more going into activation mode even after restarts. I see no major changes in Kitkat till now, though Sense has also been upgraded to 5.5 and now some apps have been added like 'Do Not Disturb' which is similar to Samsung's Blocking Mode. Few screenshots of upgrade messages- Do Not Disturb Mode Current Software Information 3G Speeds back to normal

Though the EVDO speeds on HTC ONE are quite good (upto 2.51 Mbps), they are still beaten by the speeds of my wife's new Verizon Note 2 (2.74 Mbps). Speed tested in exact same conditions and time. Earlier it used to be opposite and HTC always used to triumph over Samsung phones... Food for thought.

Low Light Photo Comparison between HTC ONE and Verizon Note 2 - HTC ONE Verizon NOTE 2 As you can clearly make out HTC ONE wins hands down on clarity and detail. No post processing has been done except reduce the size to a 600 pixel width. As you can also see there is a slight Purple Tint in the HTC photo as HTC adds more Gamma to low light photos so the clarityy increases but dark regions gets a slight purple tint.Purple is the colour which is last in rainbow spectrum. It is the colour which has the highest angle. So basically it's a trade off between a slight tint vs low light image quality. But the results are testimony that still HTC wins hands down. No such tint issues in full light. Hope that clears. PS - Yes the above full light photo was of a custom Harley Davidson Superlow at IBW 2014 which I attended recently in Goa on my Harley!! (Lolz... No, I went by air and we hired Bullets there as 2000km was quite a distance for me to drive my Harley)

Nope, wouldn't have. I did not want a 6" phone in my hand that is why shifted to something more manageable like HTC ONE. It may be a year old but it is still revolutionary cutting edge in design and feel in hand. Yes, it has a 3300mah battery on the max. But then the screen size is bigger too. May last similar which is say a day. Havn't tried but have heard someone who has tried something similar.
