^ Yes, get a new UIM card for the same no. It will block your previous no. Just go the webworld and tell them you have lost your phone (it fell somwhere etc., otherwise if u say stolen they will ask for police report); take your Photo ID and Address proof; and transfer your that no. to a new ruim.

Google was deeply involved in the manufacturing process for the N1 with HTC unlike other phones that HTC markets; so they had set their specs requirement little higher than other htc phones; as google name is involved with this phone and its being directly marketed by google; I do understand everything needs to be sold in today's world and this exercise may be part of the same; but this phone does look promising .... Specially look at - BTW savramesh my 2 N1 are on their way; so will update features soon...

Please dont say without problem. I shifted my Prepaid no. to Postpaid on 20th of last month and even till today whenever I register my no. on myservices it shows as Prepaid instead of Postapid. 4 complaints to customercare as well as serviceassurancecell have yielded no solution so far. Waiting for first bill and then will try again after that...

Just use Nokia sync to first copy your contacts to pc and then export your contacts as csv and then follow the procedure for csv to gmail as stated in above link.

I m on modaco 1.3 (based on sprint 1.56), and i m rooted and I can open and edit all advanced settings... but gives error on user name only....

I think he needs to reflash with the original RUU of sprint which runs as a exe file, which resets the radio completely; his rooting will also go; maybe he will need to reactivate connection also; also may try the same in cdma wkshp but dont think he will be able to do so... so reflashing with original RUU may be the thing... but be ready for the things I told u...

hmmm.... very interesting... personally i dont miss wm at all... but it does seem interesting the other way around i.e. for people with wm devices...

nothing happens suddenly; every action has an equal and OPPOSITE reaction; first think what you have done recently to make this change and reverse it; otherwise, its usually either the weather, rss feeds, 1 more sprint loaded program (I forgot its name), etc. that tries to connect automatically... disable all those and your pro will become peaceful once again... i dont think any program sync sms except perhaps myphone... choice is yours... or change to android.... LOL... lots of softwares there which dont exactly sync but at least backup to your Gmail account... ppcpimbackup on windows mobile, backs up and restores all your info including sms to your memory card for windows mobile...

^ like I said earlier, maybe its your phone activation and settings that are not properly updated/configured/activated and not a hardware/bug problem that you are stating.... I am using with reliance, with data full on and even then I rarely miss a call (even though I should, as data and voice dont travel simultaneously on 1x), though sometimes when my phone is downloading something my callers do get a busy tone but never switched off. So there is NO SUCH BUG in the phone or hardware. I would suggest you stick to 1.56 based roms as of now (modaco 1.3 is most stable), in which the only issue I am facing is of BT file transfer and nothing else. I am waiting for the official 2.1 release by sprint after which I will shift to that... kindly try reactivating your phone, if its possible or take the help of your seller (sadikk) and manually configure tata settings once more... be aware that tata operates on multiple sid's and nid's unlike reliance which has only 1; so get all those feeded into your phone through qpst...
