SUCCESS: Outlook Mail synced Procedure: I was trying to sync my outlook mail by creating a new account i.e. for e.g. I had created Gmail-dhirajkaile to sync my gmail account. Now dont do that... Instead configure your default Outlook E-mail (the one that is already syncing to Google server). I was previously only syncing only Contacts and Calendar and not Emails. Now after adding email I am able to sync and send and receive mail directly. I also set the schedule in activesync to sync as and when item arrives and now even push mail is working perfectly through Rel MobileWorld connection (with proxy). Only thing is data is ON 24 hours. I will update on the charges after a day or 2... Enjoy....

yah... then ur L1 will get unsubscribed!!! dilemma... better put a mail to CC and see what they say.. I put a mail as follows to <serviceassurancecell@relianceada.com> My Reliance CDMA No.: 9358439593 I have subscribed to the new Reliance Mobile Internet Data Plans that you have introduced wef 01st dec'09 on my Windows Mobile Phone on reliance CDMA. I am on the default 50p/1MB Plan. Now whereas I am able to browse all websites using the default browser (Internet Explorer) on the phone, I am unable to download any mail using the phone's Outlook Mail application. It seems to be blocked by Reliance. It gives me error message : "Error Syncronizing. Cannot connect with current connection settings." Everything else like browsing etc. is working except this Outlook Mail. Kindly either give me the correct connection settings (Username, password and proxy server port settings) which seems to be all right as I am able to connect to all other websites OR kindly unblock Outlook Emails from your proxy server. Awaiting your immediate reply in this matter, DHIRAJ KAILE BTW- Outlook mail is working with Rel Netconnect connection but then that is time based and very costly.....

Proxy server: wapgw.ricinfo.com HTTP : wapgw.ricinfo.com:8080

^ if u will enable proxy, even sam1 will work...

Complain to the Customer Care; and right now start using internet on default plan... though without proxy usage would not be covered under L1.... @saurav - what was ur usage mostly for; if it was for outlook mail, ur purpose would not be solved; so better lodge a complain that u are unable to access Outlook Mail through Rel Mobile World (Proxy, UTS one) connection; I have done the same....
-
^ I am slightly unfamiliar with L1; could u tell me what charges you are paying as of date on L1?
-
^ Opera Mini doesnt seem to be compatible with with proxy connections as of now as per feedback given by other members; though I havnt tried that personally as I am on a WM device.... So 2 Problems till now: 1. Opera Mini Compatibility on normal phones 2. Outlook Mail Compatibility on Windows Mobile Devices
-
^ on which phone? does ur phone have a in built browser.... if yes, then no NUC will be charged.... but if u go through RWorld then NUC will be charged....
-
Problem: Outlook mail is not working with Proxy Server
-
^ Network Usage Charges is not applicable if you dont go through RWorld application and browse directly.
-
^ the scenario is changed Kalpak; I am talking of using Rel MobileWorld connection (The UTS one with proxy enabled) and not Rworld (a program or site wap.rworld.co.in) for browsing. Browsing will be done through the default browser installed on your phone whether on WM devices or Palm devices. Now all sites are functioning through the proxy connection, which was not the case earlier. Its not restricted anymore. However, For using our phones as modem we still have to rely on non proxy connections like Rel Netconnect as modem is not functioning on proxy connections, only browsing on the phone is.

Practically, with downloading of say about 50 mails (with 10-20KB of message) and normal browsing on phone, you cannot download more than 1-2MB of data in 24 hours. That works out to just 1 Re a day or 30 Rs. a month. I think this default plan is quite fantastic.....
-
downloading is possible in all plans now... however in default plan, pls note that u will be charged at pulse rate of 50p/mb now... so even if u download only 10-20kb u will be charged for 1 mb...
-
^ as soon as I get it in my hand will post review.... check its features and hacks here - http://3g-modem.wetpaint.com/page/Sierra+Wireless+MC8775+&+MC8775v

^ @tanveer Use Rel MobileWorld connection (UTS one with proxy enabled) and access any site using Opera Mobile/Internet Explorer and you should be first taken to the Rworld site asking you to confirm subscription to the default 50p/1MB plan. Once you confirm, from next time you will be able to browse net normally as before. If that message is not coming and you are able to browse net with the Rel MobileWorld connection then that means that the plan has been enabled by default for you. You should also get a SMS confirming the same has been enabled. At least that is what happened for me on my 3 connection (2 on Pro and 1 on Mogul). Rel Netconnect charges are still at 60p/minute AFAIK; but since this is a much better volume based plan, there is no sense in using that time based plan anymore till its prices are also slashed (expect that also soon) and if your usage is high move to the 299 Unlimited Plan and keep internet switched on 24 hours.... as no NUC should apply for us as per kesav's definition.... @srk - cant say about LG 6600, but mobile internet is clearly visible in our windows mobile phones; maybe it is visible to only phones with in built browsers. I see it in my phone in when I access Rworld in this order - Hot N New, Movie Masala, Others - Ringtones, Caller Tunes, Cricket N More, News, Pics N Fun, Astrology, Love N Friendship, "Mobile Internet", Finance, Messaging, Devotional, Info Services etc.

click on mobile internet after activating your plan in Rworld

^ yes

230/- unlimited for 2G and about 3K unlimited for 3G.... but speed difference right now between 2G and 3G on bsnl is only 20% .....LOL.... but still the cheapest.... and they r promising 3.6MBps speeds on 3G.... launched here in Meerut... I tested and got about 30Kbps speed on 2G sim and 36Kbps speed on 3G sim... practically... so right now equivalent to bloody 256Kbps connection only...
-
OM? expand pls...oh u mean opera mini....
-
with proxy dear... with proxy... from now onwards...
-
^ Both my IE and Opera are working on Windows Mobile based phones; all sites r opening; and if kesav is right, since we accessing sites without going through Rworld, we shall only be paying 50p/MB.... GREAT...

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE : Previously I was unable to visit many sites through Rel MobileWorld (with proxy) connection; and most of us were using sam1 type connections without proxy; Now sam1 type without proxy connections seems to have been BLOCKED; but no problems; I have set default connection to Rel MobileWorld (with proxy) and tried using my opera/ie browser on phone and it took me Rworld site and informed me that effective 1st Dec my default plan has been shifted to 50p/Mb and then asked for my approval, which i gave and also informed me the additional 5p/10kb NUC charges, which also I said OK to; then from next time I was able to ACCESS ALL INTERNET SITES through the Mobile World (with proxy) connection; which was not the case prior to 1st dec... so all in all I think its GOOD; charges will now be 50p/MB + 5p/10Kb NUC (in comparison to 10p/10kb we were paying earlier in without proxy connections); I have accessed many sites, updated my weather, done activesync to google server etc. etc.; and everything seems to be working with the MobileWorld connection through proxy...

tum sab ulta seedha karte ho, vishal... lol... baki sab ke chal raha hai... procedure is same as I detailed you; because as of now sam1 without proxy has stopped working afaik.... try using rel netconnect and see if it works; then switch to rel mobileworld (with proxy) connection...
-
or u can sync to google server using microsoft exchange server and get push mail... though I dont know how well it works, as I hv not tested personally... but it should....
