I have recently purchased a Dell Studio 15 Laptop with Windows7 home premium 64bit loaded on it. I had the problem that I was unable to share files on my network between my other XP and Windows7 Ultimate (32bit) computer. I've checked that the workgroup names are the same and that file sharing is enabled, but it still didnt allow me to access files between my these pc's . I have no trouble accessing files on the winxp machine from my Dell (W7 HP 64bit) machine, but it wont work the other way around. It gave me an access denied error due to permissions, even though I let it have full control. SOLUTION: It seems that the XP machine and my other W7 32bit uses the "guest" account, and Windows 7 and Vista by default does not give permission to the guest account, even if u select sharing for "everyone". So basically all you have to do is go to the properties of the folder you want to share, click on the Security tab, add "guest", and give it access. thats it I was banging my head since yesterday, so I thought I would share with everybody....

no, the tata files are different and i mam not sure whether they have delivery notifications...

u need to load HP_Rel_Settings.cab; reboot; then go to start-programs-messaging-menu-options- click text messages and then tick on Request delivery notifications. This cab file has been posted in many places and also in this topic and mogul topic.

Original rom of reliance is not available anywhere AFAIK, unless some existing reliance diamond user helps you to dump the rom and use it... and nobody likes to use it anyways... even nitink who had original reliance diamond has moved on to custom roms, I think... You may try unlocking it once again and loading sprint original rom and radio or mighty rom 4 which is more stable.... but try it at your own risk.... I should think it will solve your issue but as the handset is not of sprint there may be some niggling issues on the way...

@sunny No, u cant; these r meid based handsets @ankit sms tones does not support mp3 by default; only wav files are suitable; if u need mp3 as sms tone, u will have to covert mp3 to wav file and put it in \windows folder; then it will be visible as sms tone also; but that will be too resource hungry and hence not recommended...

Yaa... with so many cooks around, the kitchen gonna be upside down.... lol... well its impossible to try all roms, anyways... i prefer sticking to sprint roms, where everything works by default... perhaps am getting older... dont have the patience to keep messing my phone and then searching for solutions...

^ in 10K u may get a good 2nd hand Mogul which is a very good handset... but I dont think any new set that will fulfill email and push mail requirements properly will come in that budget... I may have a 2nd hand mogul in 4-5- days which may be even less than ur budget but fulfill all ur needs... BTW Mogul has wifi, bt, email etc.etc. In new handsets, go for Pro or Diamond... but nearly double ur budget...

To enable push mail, you need to set activesync to sync to a microsoft exchange server, which in ur case will be google (settings given in my signature). Also check EMAIL in addition to Contacts and Calendar now. In activesync - menu-schedule-set sync during to - As item arrives during both peak times and off-peak times (set it to - manually, if u dont want push mail) and ur push mail starts. Now ur data will be on always,; if u set it to uts based username and password, and download settings to only headers and only 2-4kb of the message (which is sufficient to see what the email is all about), then u will be charged approx 2-300/- on a Prepaid account per month (as per experience of my friend anupe, not my personal one); Same u can try to do on Post Paid and take their 99/- or 199/- plans; that should be sufficient for your email download needs and you will also get push mail in the bargain...

^ you may also try DCD's 6.5 rom; its extremely lite and does not have even tf3d interface; u can add all that later... or even add MS if u want that instead of tf3d...

Usually after the unlocker is out, esn/meid solution is not that far off.... once we get into to play with the radio etc.... solutions always follow... see any phone's history...
