I cannot view mobile TV - a service by Reliance. What's happening?

This is handset issue. Are you getting HRT-Host Routing Table? 1) Ask Voda to do a reset for BIS on your account. 2) Do a wipe. check if your getting HRT. If yes then things would go fine. Send the service book to your phone. If not then insert another BIS active sim in the phone and try to get the HRT. Once you get do a restart and confirm if it's still there. If fine then insert your sim, confirm HRT and send service book. 3) Do a wipe with BBSAK. Try and get the latest version. I think latest is 1.19.1 or something like that. Also confirm the procedure for the wipe from net. It's best to follow the procedure. Once done load the os through BBSAK. Try and load the latest. Make sure to delete vendor.xml file. At this stage if you have any other bb then check if it's working on other handset. I'm sure it would be working as BIS is active. Make sure the memory card is also clean as we don't wont any trouble because of it. Now insert your card in this phone. If not then insert a working BIS connection any service provider, best would be Vodafone. Definately not yours but some other one. This is a troublesome process. I had the same issue with one of my phones. Now it's working fine. Hope this helps you. All the best.

Deepak, You have to get the rel bb9650 gsm part unlocked. Till then no other operator would work on gsm. I have sprint bb9650 and using it on voda bombay. If you search on net you'll get them. i dont think these are the issues anybody has reported in this forum. EB13 was faulty and had some bug. i have used camera with location and even uploaded the captured pix on my facebook. no problem what so ever. i have done it on EC05 with stock ROM thru Wi-Fi. i am also using Tango for video chat with my bro-in-law. though i dont recommend Tnago as quality is poor. but he is on iPhone 4g and no other video call app is working. Sjype does not show video chat (voice call working) option and Qik disconnect within 1 sec. may be prob because of difference in platform. no idea. I am using Tango for almost 3 months now.. use fring. video goes through. The quality was better on DI18 than EC05.

I doubt if the dealer can solve this issue. This is very funny issue. This is not reliance ready phone, right? I have sprint 9650. I aso got this solution as I had 2 9650s and both on vodafone. This was just a try to see if I get the solution. It did work for me. I also found this solution funny. Sadikbhai would also find no logic in this. If you check on your phone you'll not see Host routing Table, it would be empty. This is because the sim is not getting detected for bb service by that phone. Do try and let me know as lot of efforts and days of communication with Vodafone has been spent on this issue.

This is really bad. This is for sure with eb13 and not on/off issues, Samsung would not be the preferred device. I'm sure noone wants to be in a state of uncertainity as when would my phone give up on me. It was supposed to be that people get the phone and then not worry about it. DAY 5: mine is going fine.

Sorry for the late reply. This is a amazing situation. Listen vey carefully. Situation: your vodafon bb service is active on your number. It works on other phone, is it gsm only or cdma + gsm? Now put a vodafone sim in the troublesome 9650. Is the sim not working a ported number? Once put the other active sim and chck if you get EDGE. If yes use that sim for 2/3 days. Now do phone transfer for the temparary number. Insert the troublesome sim in the phone and you should get EDGE. DO NOT WIPE YOUR HANDSET AS YET. Once clear you're getting EDGE, now do a wipe from handset for email/contacts. I also suggest you upgrade to os6 for your 9650, it's good. I've done the same trial and as of now it has worked for me.
