wm6.1. yes usa with reliance roaming. the speed i checked is not so good. I guess there are restrictions with internet. i get speed of 67/100 on dslreports.com. I've got same results in India. In international roaming on reliance, they never told me the internet connection has to be changed. I found out for the 1st time. How useless these guys are? They don't even bother to inform?

Any CDMA handset can be activated on Reliance. You need the ESN no. To reconfirm goto the reliance site and put a query for the same. Do post your feedback.

these guys only talk but not really do anything. I don't know if this was my bad luck or good luck. 2 people from Reliance did get in touch with me saying they'll do it. Non of them confirmed in writing. With the first one there were some emails communicated. The 2nd one did not give me in writing. I was clear to have it in writing and then I can proceed. I still have not heard from them. However, another person replied saying it cannot be done. People in reliance communication don't know what they are talking.

Is 3G really coming in or it's yet the talks. Any idea of Reliance with 3G? It would be fun to get a new device only if there's 3G. Why waste money now?

why go through all this efforts if Reliance can activate the CDMA handset you have? Yes, I enquired and got this information. To reconfirm goto the site and put query yourself. I did inform reliance for their help. They like UTstar not their customers. They didn't do anything. The only thing they told me was that UT is saying that the ROM is tempered. I also have a relationship manager. That guy also lied during my purchase of the handset. I did talk to him but he had no information. reliance believes what their people say.

Punit was nice with initial queries. When I faced my problem, he turned his face. there are many on this group who know me can vouch that i did not temper with ROM. But utstar and company want to protect their ***. Relaince you know how it happens.

punitb is Punit Bawkar is from utstar, the company that cheats people. I had big problems. I've till date not tried any ROMs and things and this guy says I played with the ROM. What nonsensense they talk. They don't support. It would have een better for ma to purchase such handset from elsewhere. There's a loot here. They don't support with the original and then who is he to tell people not to play with the original? I think they need to stop bull****ting with things and people. For all who are in Bombay, it would be a gr8 experience to visit the UTStar centre in Andheri. How did Reliance replace the handset? What had hapened? They didn't replace mine. UT says that I tried to make changes to the ROM. The worst service from UT.
