@Saurah, any luck on your Pixi. I saw many similar complaints of touchscreen getting killed for Palm.. Now planning to switch over to either Samsung Fascinate or Droid X.

@Saurabh... sounds like these handsets had a time bomb! I think now my keyboard has also stopped responding too. After I replace my battery and start the phone nothing shows up if I use the keyboard which I remember worked till yesterday even though the touch didn't. I hope your's is a temporary effect... @Hitesh... Do you think it would be worth replacing the front panel unit with keyboard not repsonding now.

I wish its the same.. I took off the battery and have left it open. Will check it in morning. Else I may try what Hiteshbhai suggested. I sounds interesting and its been a while that I have ripped apart something...

hi... samsung seems to have most variety of CDMA mobiles so posting this query here... Please help me with a CDMA mobile with the following features: 1. Which can act as a modem and can be used to surf the web 2. should have good battery life 3. easy data transfer from mobile to PC (preferably one that comes with a data cable) 4. camera not required 5. expandable memory if available.

First of all thank you everyone for quick replies... I have kind of decided upon Samsung Metro. But I am still confused when you say EVDO and handset supporting OHM card, is that one and the same ? And if it is, then I might Micromax C350 as its under 5K.

I am looking for anything under 5K. I wud have loved to buy Samsung Corby but I don't really use the camera on a phone. I have heard about OMH cards supporting high speed but, is that only while surfing over the handset or also while using it as a modem.

I saw this model at a Samsung showroom and its price is 2200. It also has dual speakers but not sure about PC Sync feature.

Anybody tried to use this phone as a modem ? If yes, how is the speed ?

Does anyone know how to disable the sound while unlocking the phone when in "user mode"... It also makes that sound when you apply any setting while in "user mode"... and its very annoying most of the times.

I am planning to buy the Nokia 2865 after using the Samsung Slim phone for more than 2 years.. its giving some bad battery problems.. wanted to know if the Nokia 2865 supports Long Message System (LMS), as I could never forward or send messages more than 140 characters long from Samsung Slim Phone.. If it does not support, I would rather buy the LG RD 2670 B/W phone which supports LMS
