Few people here use n191, fewer use rd2230 and people using(having used) both are rare and u r one of them. Thats why I'm asking u. Supposing n191 has no RWorld, which handset would u choose : RD2230 or N191 ? BTW www.lgmobiles.com had no info on 2230.

I've been using N191 for last yr n half. It can easily receive 160 char SMSes but on forwarding only 140 chars go. Regarding its phone book, it has 300 locations and per location there r 6 no.slots : Sped dial, home, mobile, office, fax, pager; 1 email slot ; 1 ringtone; 1 secret; 1 group slot.... thus making total entries upto 300x6=1800. It also has this unique feature of saving a no. in the text of a sms...different from the sender's no. by pressing the call key when reading the sms. It ringtone output is much better than lg2030, so also the streaming stuffs. Its screen res is utterly poor.

Does 2230 support voice tones? And since it has no RWorld can ringtones and wallpapers b uploaded using bitpim? And hows the feel and ease of use...better than n191? Does it have upto 3 touch speed dialing like n191. Ganesh since u'v used both N-191 & RD2230 can u please give an idea about the adv/dis adv of the 2 sets when compared. Actually I'm planning to get the cheapest 2nd hand RIM for normal use(talk & SMS) as my n191 has already run into -thousands (thanks to free RConnect).

Hi Ganesh, Can u tell me a little bit more about 2230. Have u heared the ringtones on n191...they r loud and clear.... is the ringtone output quality in 2230 similar to samsung n191. Does it support voice ringer? Is it possible to save ph.nos in in the text of a sms directly ( u can do it by pressing call key in n191 it shows up the sender's no and any other no. in the text of the sms)

Hello Firefox fans, Again stuck with Firefox... it cant remember Bookmarks. When I click on Bookmark this page under Bookmarks a Add bookmark dialog box comes up with Add/Cancel buttons. But on clicking on Add button the dialog box remains as it is but bookmark gets added in the bookmark menu. Then I click on 'x' button to close the dialog box. But as I shut Firefox and open it the next time the bookmark is no more in the bookmark menu!!! Strange. Now whats the solution ???? Help me pleeese

Exactly.... in these few days since I've been a member, my phone's attitude has lept high above its cousins. With loud well known n famous polytones (changed every day) and my own designer wallpapers, it has just got a thorough image makeover. Thanks to the forum. BTW.: Previously I'd got this only pleasing tone called 'Oceans' on RWorld and had it as my my ringer since that time.

Hi, We've uploaded polyphonic ringtones to our cells through MMS. Now since N191 supports voice tones, I must be able to upload my own voice recordings too. Now how can I upload my own recorded voice tones ? What is the format of the voice tones (like its mmf for polytones). Can this be done throug MMS if u know the format of the voice tones? But the problem is that there aren't any voice tones in RWorld MMS gallery. So its not possible to send voice tones through MMS to email in oder to know its format. So r there any other process?? Any other methods??? Think...

Nah, when ur roaming all calls made to phones in that circle are intra-circle/local calls. But since ur home is in a different circle so calls to home circle will be inter-circle/std calls. The slogan ''Roam with Home Tariff rate'' means this.

Ya! and thats why reducing teriffs still not working some great magic for them. SMSers (esp College studs) don't even bring RIM in their deciding list. U can receive 160 char SMSes but on forwarding only 140char goes... ridiculous!!! I always thought it a short coming of N191 before joining this forum but now it seems it fault of RIM/CDMA. Does all RIM handsets hv 140char limit?(is it same 4 all cdma handsets) They hv to lower SMS rates & increase char limt to 160. SMSes cant always be replacd by voice calls.. i mean you dont call to say SMS jokes in voice. At least they can consider coming up with RCVs/Plans specific for SMSers.

Now see, if A and B are in the same circle ( usually ur whole state) then calls from A to B, B to A & B to B will be local calls and local call charges will be levied i.e. RIM2RIM free & RIM2Others @ Re0.80p/min. But if A & B r in deifferent circles then calls from ur cell in B to others in A will be inter-circle calls (std) and will be charged at inter-circle rates: Rs.1.79/m Rim2Rim and Rs.2.49/min. Calls from ur cell in B to other phones in B will be local/intra-circle calls and charged as: Rim2Rim free & Rim2Others :Rs.0.80p/min. And all incoming calls to ur cell in B will be chargable @ of Rim2Rim inter-circle call rate.

No relying on our network in Kolkata, BSNL tells Reliance Indranil Chakraborty & Prachi Verma, Kolkata & New Delhi, November 05, 2004 Reliance Infocomm Ltd has run into trouble over its number migration plan in circles like Kolkata where the process has not yet begun. In 11 circles across the country, Reliance Infocomm has already started migrating from the existing eight-digit numbering system starting with 3 to a 10-digit number with the prefix 93. However, in circles where the process is yet to begin, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) is not keen to give Reliance access to its network through an additional point of interconnection (POI) because of the tussle between the two over termination charges for international long-distance (ILD) at existing POIs. BSNL has refused to give Reliance an additional POI in Kolkata, even as the migration is proceeding smoothly in circles in the South, Mumbai, Delhi, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Himachal Pradesh. Additional POIs would enable the mobile telephony operator keep the old as well as the new number of each subscriber in operation for a certain transition period. This would help callers of the Reliance numbers avoid difficulties. According to the officials of BSNL's Calcutta Telephones unit, its corporate office in Delhi has declined to provide more POIs to Reliance. This would have helped Reliance start the migration process soon after Diwali in the Kolkata and West Bengal circles. Though a senior BSNL official in Delhi said that the refusal has no relation with the proposed number change, people associated with the implementation of telecom networks feel that unless additional POIs are given to Reliance, the company cannot put in place the new numbering system where the mobile switching centre (MSC) could read both the old and the new number and terminate the call at the right place. According to a telecom network technologist, additional POIs are needed to accommodate both the numbering systems. A call, after reaching a POI, goes to an MSC which with a defined number logic (in this case numbers starting with both 3 and 93) route the call to the terminating point. Guys Stuck in a strange problem. Few days back I installed a adblocker (Video AdsBlocker v1b) from Download.com. But it started blocking all flashes(even the flash presentation on relianceinfo front page) and flash games on IE6 eve though it was working in Firefox/Opera. So I uninstalled it properly. But even after it got uninstalled I can't view the flash items on IE6 but they work well in Opera/Firefox. Please help me....are some stupid part of the program still stuck in my IE settings... get me a solution...pleeeeese

I checked out \Program Files\Internet Explorer\PLUGINS for the relevant plugin but there were only quick time plugins. I also disabled 3rd party browser xtensions as per Vishal but it didn't work. I've not yet followed racoons process... hope it works. Any other suggestions. BTW I'd used the Add/Remove program to remove the software.

There used b such a option in the MMS client previously. I'd seen it in my N191 too. Now I think all MMSes r saved 4 a specific time period ( 48hrs only in my case) by default.
