  1. Replacing A Dead Handset

Yes thats what I think I would have to do. But how torturous it is as if it is a fault of mine. I think our old BSNL connections are FAR more superior to RCL/TATA etc
  2. Replacing A Dead Handset

Hello Guys My LG LSI -110 FWP handset is completely dead. I went to Reliance service center and they say it would cost Rs. 4500 to get it repaired. (whereas a new handset with a connection would come in less than half of that). I went to web world to replace the handset with a new one , and they say they cannot replace the set as long as it is dead, and that i got to get it repaired first. What the hell is this. I can easily buy a new connection, but the retention of the number is of primary importance for me. I simply cannot let that number let expire like that as whole my business is dependant on it. I dont think it is wise to pay that amount of money to repair a old set. Has anyone else ever faced such a situation. Is is really true I cannot change handset if it is not in working condition. Is the info provided in the web world misleading? What do i do? Thanks Deepak
