As for number conserned you can retain the old number to any new phone. As for i know lg3470 is giving excellent battery backup. If you can able to get LG3470 i too need one piece.

When called CC regarding this they told me its not possible to change, because of the offer(2 years incoming 750 talktime) in the classic handset.
