Reliance EVDO Rev B. Multicarrier - Reliance Pro 3

Hi Everybody! Your messages have provided me valuable insights. Shall visit a Reliance Store soon to change my SIM card. (Am using an old one cut to fit the nano slot in my HTC Desire 816 dual sim.) One problem: Sending HSD to 55444 leads to this text being sent to you: Dear Customer, Incorrect request entered. Please contact Customer Service on *333." EvDo-rev.B is in evidence. But speed droops to 1x or connectivity is lost entirely. Any thoughts on this? -
I suggest you go for HTC Desire 816 dual sim. It's very fast, has good cameras (13 MP and 5 MP), doesn't protest even when multiple windows are open. The only drawback is that it has 8 GB of internal storage. Of this, you get about 3.9 GB for your apps. So pop in a 32 GB memory card and get going. Has a lot of apps preinstalled (like LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Chrome). I bought it for Rs 22,500 in Bangalore, a flap cover included.

I recently bought HTC S720 Smartphone. I am mostly happy with my new mobile. The only complaint is it does not have 'Phonebook Dowload' feature in RWorld. Before changing my handset (LG RD6230), I uploaded my contacts to Reliance Backend. I also managed to download the phonebook to a .csv file (openable in MS Excel). Now the question is: How to transfer my old phonebook to my new HTC mobile? The guys at Reliance and HTC are of no use. Any help would be appreciated.

I bought HTC S720 in Bangalore a week ago. 19.25k after bargain. Runs on Windows 6.0 Mobile. Feels like Win XP. No problems. One small complaint is that one cant transfer old addressbook. They have a second sliding keyboard (QWERTY). Has bluetooth, 2mp camera. Supports up to 2 GB ext card. Web browsing is fast. Comes with software and cable to sync with PC. Should be a good buy.

Mufaddalji, can you tell us the drawbacks of LG 10000? It is being hyped as th e iPhone killer. Does it have iPhole-like features?

Despair not. Go to a Reliance Webworld/Webworld Express. Buy a handset change card and follow this procedure: www.reliancecommunications.co.in/Communications/Rm/rm_hcc.html If your phone is totally dead (this is, your phone doesn't switch on), explain your problem to the guys at Webworld. They have a way of registering a change of handset through their system. Take your dead handset to Webworld and show them what the problem is. Hope they will understand. Once you switch to a new handset, your number and balance remain same as before.

Hi everybody, I recently bought an LG RD6230 handset. I find it quite good. I want to transfer some of my favourite mp3 songs to my phone (maybe even set one of them as my ringtone). I want connectivity between my computer and phone; I want them to talk to each other. The manual has a mention of LG-USB8100-X data cable. How good is this cable? Will it meet my requirement I'd appreciate if any one of you could give me an idea of the price. Thanks

Yes, one must go to a branch of HDFC Bank to re-register for mobile banking. It's a pain, all right, but necessary.
