It looks like the handset without the logo is missing just the logo - probably it wasn't approved at that time or something. When I booked my two-wheeler, while I was waiting, they released a minor upgrade to it. My two wheeler had all the upgrade, but there was no new graphics. Get the drift? Nothing to worry.

As an urgent solution (source: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Google%20Mobile/thread?tid=53d875e70942e732&hl=en) The way to solve the problem is (at least in my situation - returning from a holliday in France) 1. Choose SETTINGS - WIRELESS CONTROLS - MOBILE NETWORKS - 2. uncheck everything unnecesary ie. "Data Roaming" and "Enable always-on mobile" - 3. Change setting on "Use only 2G networks", wait 10 seconds, then change it back. 4. Now try NETWORK OPERATORS. Here you will get a network error (Not the "com.android.phone" error)Just continue and you'll get your wanted network.The reason for this behavior is that android uses a new type of network and supports old ones. Some countries dosen't use this new network. When your android phone makes a handshake in these countries it'll accept without error, but when it returns to the new type it won't connect. This must be a bug and you can solve / workaround this by doing the above

I feel customization is better. Example: The only stock ROM good for me is Alltel ROM. However, there are minor irritants that prevent me from using it mainstream. The customized ROM works precisely how I want it to. BUt as always, that's just me. :-)

Trash IE.. Why not use Opera Mobile? And I have some observations to make. Windows 98 UI on today's computers is blazing fast. Windows XP UI on earlier computers is a tad slow, but the improvements are significant. Same is with Windows Mobile. Mogul was designed for Windows 6, not 6.5. Windows 6 runs faster than 6.5 on Mogul, but use 6.5 and you will see that the improvements are worth the slight lag tradeoff. More finger-friendliness helps a lot. If you want a decent tradeoff between speed and improvements, go for 21911. It's great. Will upload my own build if anybody wants. :-)

Am testing build 21893 as well as the latest 23540 as well as 28230... 23xxx and 28xxx have the beta tag attached to them .... expire on May 1, 2010..... 21893 doesn't have that limitation. Are you people happy with the ugly big fonts in the notifications in 23xxx and 28xxx? When you receive an incoming sms, or a call, or any other notification, the fonts are so big! And everything appears a little not-like-home... 21xxx does feel more suited to Mogul's DPI and resolution... what do you think?

Hitesh, I have configured my Mogul using QPST in accordance with the settings specified by the great Ashoksoft. i have not "tweaked" the software part. I personally do not need anything else. The ROM locks fine and quick. I use only Google Maps, though. If I am really missing something, kindly elaborate so that I may look into it and incorporate if possible.

1. You got your radio version right. Look for it in Start > Settings > System > Device Information. You will see "radio version" listed. 2. Regarding camera cabs, just wait, I am going to upload a few ROMs and all will have camera working out of the box. 3. I cook my ROMs carrierless. These will work by default on Alltel as with any other carrier in the world. You will need an Alltel carrier cab ... if you do not have it, you can get carrier cabs from DCD here: http://dcd1182.n715dp.com/ The ROMs that I will upload will work perfectly with these cabs.

Alright.. But I have a question. I roam around Kolkata and no beeps. Surely the towers must be changing? Is it a handset specific issue?
