Padmakar, U must have installed LG Sync-Link. They are actually two different programs but the installer exe file is the same for the two. Are you able to synchronise your phone data like PhoneBook, Memo and schedules at least?? Becoz i guess that does generally work. I am also using WinXP SP2. this much definitely works for me. In the Sync Configurations, alter the COM Ports, and see if atleast one of them works for you. Let me know abt this first.

I got one such external booster antenna installed for myself, and when i saw it was wired thing coming till my office desk and getting attached to my cellphone, i got it removed the very same moment! I hate putting my cell on charging when i want to use it and they expect that the cell shud be connected to a wire! I guess, that was a very good example of last mile wired connectivity that i suggested for FWP Anyways, whats really a Yagi Antenna? How does it attach to the cellphone? Any snaps for examples?

if u plan to send 10pics a day, then in both the phones thats very much possible. Either u directly MMS the pics to the other number. thats 3bucks an MMS. The other party need not pay anything to recieve the MMS. Or u download the pic onto ur PC via Infrared(6235) or DataCable(6130) and then email it to her Email ID. Emailing to Phone is currently not possible. And as far as selecting the handset, at the price of LG6130, its the best one with the right features and at the price of N6235, its the best one with its own features. You cant really compare the two, coz they both have different features and different pricing. So if pockets are deep, obvious decision would be in favour of two N6235!!

ADC !! They really know how to dilute the whole thing! At the end, if the consumer is not benefitted and only the Operators get the best of it, then why the whole fuss! Operators were all this while, pushing the ADC down the throat of the consumer! So theres no point crying foul if the consumer is not getting benefitted!

Most google searches point rimweb on the first page itself. Thats where the steady flow of new members is! And writing a review by the mods will/thought to be considered as SPAM. So avoid it. Members can definitely continue writing. Only profit making sites are not allowed to be linked in the signatures at our forums. More than any Link Exchange Program, its the number of hits and the variety of discussions available on the forum, that will definitely keep this forum ticking at the top.

Powersurfer was owned by BSES. and BSES is now Reliance Energy! same loop! And yes, Powersurfer was way too good in Bandra, i rem. Whats its state now? Abhay, why do u want a Static IP? -
NIS Sparta was bought over by Reliance some couple of yrs back. But the employees like RIC are on the rolls of NIS Sparta. So u may say he is a reliance employee, but not on paper.

There is an option of Add Slide at the MMS Portal, but that never seemed to work for me. 1 more thing, anybody who has not been able to successfully use LG Link / Sync / Desktop can PM me, i'll help you ppl out. There is a little workaround for each of them.

MTNL-BSNL merger route by Nov-end BS Corporate Bureau in Mumbai | October 11, 2004 09:52 IST Rediff.com The government is likely to finalise the route of merging the two state-owned telecommunications firms -- MTNL and BSNL -- by end of November 2004. Shakeel Ahmad, the minister of state for communications and information technology, told Business Standard, that the merger will be affected by end of this year. While confirming that the government was looking at various options of merging the two entities, the minister pointed out that "we are evaluating three option to facilitate merger. The latest being buying back MTNL's shares from public." MTNL shares are listed on the stock exchange while BSNL is a wholly owned company of the government. Shakeel Ahmad was speaking to mediapersons on the sidelines of the Communique '04 VIII National Telecom Seminar organized by the Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management in Pune. The other options considered by the government include divesting 5 per cent stake in BSNL and list it on the bourses and then merge the two companies. Also setting up a holding company with whom the shares of both the telcos will be placed, is also being actively considered, the minister pointed out. Ahmad also pointed out that the government was in the process of getting comments from all the concerned parties in the telcos. "It is imperative and important to get comments and views of the various departments of these two telcos and also the ex-officials. What is important is that there should be synergy of operations." Also the ministry will get advice from consultants to strengthen the synergies between the two state-owned companies. The government first mooted the proposal for merging these two service providers way back in 2001. Pramod Mahajan, the then minister of telecommunications had favoured the idea. Even the senior officials of these telcos have favoured the proposal. A K Sinha, chairman and managing director of BSNL recently pointed out in Mumbai that "there is an urgency from the government to merge the two companies." Considering the technology and regulatory changes in the telecommunications, it makes sense for these telcos to be merged, government officials had stated. ==================================================== If this happens, MTNL subscribers r goin to be at a gr8 advantage! BSNL can definitely give RIM a run for its money in the 2 huge Metros! ... Waiting for this to happen!

A battery-powered cellphone charger Rediff.com | A Ganesh Nadar | November 22, 2005 Finally here's something every long-distance traveller has been looking for: a low-cost, battery-powered mobile phone charger. BPL has launched a battery-operated emergency cellphone charger for Rs 200. The charger operates on two pencil cells which provide 90 minutes of talk time to your mobile phone. These cells cost Rs 7 each. The device comes with four different adaptors that can help charge almost any mobile phone in popular use in India today. It looks like a cigarette lighter and is very easy to carry. The charger, however, is not suitable for CDMA phones; meaning not for those who use the services of Tata Indicom or Reliance India Mobile. Meanwhile, Indu Loganathan, a user of one such charger says: "Such a cellphone charger is available in Chennai for Rs 100. But that is a non-branded, assembled kind" So to be on the safe side, go for a BPL branded charger which also comes with a three-month guarantee.

I talked abt the same scheme a month back, right? they are offering the same in Mumbai, only in areas where the cabling is done. And they approach u, if its ready. u cant call on them. So hold ur breadth until the whole thing is ready to shoot!

Your phone bill will soon be much less Rediff.com | November 29, 2005 16:47 IST Further telecom tariff reduction is on the anvil as department of telecom is in the process of issuing direction to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India to come out with the revenue-share based access deficit charge. "The government will soon ask TRAI to make a shift in its policy decision, so that we can have ADC by revenue share… if we make ADC a revenue-share, lot of problems will disappear," Dayandhi Maran, Minister of Telecommunications said at the India Economic Summit. Access deficit charge, a levy on private players for compensating BSNL for its unprofitable operations is currently collected on per call basis and is flawed with pushing call rates and lacking transparency as it is applied on per call basis. ADC component on incoming ISD calls, which accounts for nearly Rs 2000 crore (Rs 20 billion) of the total Rs 5000 crore (Rs 50 billion) to BSNL, would be a major issue to tackle in the revenue-share based ADC. Depending upon the revenue-share percentage, the ADC amount may fall or remain static at the Rs 5000 crore level. TRAI in its consultation paper on ADC had mooted a shift to revenue-share based ADC last year and BSNL had opposed such a move fearing reduction in amount. But revenue-share as a method of collection will lead to lesser impact of the levy on call charges as it will be calculated on the total revenue than on every call at present. The government has already made its intention clear on the jurisdiction over ADC saying, "Department of telecom has the right to stake claim on the jurisdiction of ADC as DoT is responsible formulating and implementing telecom policies in the country to provide affordable communications and ADC is a key instrument for doing that".

coz NOKIA ASC is arnd to take care of it! U cant get the best out of a reliance handset, unless u tweak it enuf!!
-
People have personal choices. Thats y we all are here
-
I never meant any of that All i meant is that the Customer Care responds decently enuf as far as wrong charges in the bills are concerned. If u are able to point out rightly, then the amt is waived off immediately.

Very weird!! u tried getting the phone flashed from the LG ASC?

T9 works, but a lil shabily. When u key in a word which is not present in the dictionary, after the word is complete, press the T9 toggle key on the keypad, and it seems to be registering it. Though it seems that the T9 for LG handsets has a limited capacity for storing new words. And since it adds new words on its own, it also removes the less used words, once more words are added(mostly unknowingly).
