It is def possible to clone GSM handsets. But i didn't completely understand how u establish the fact tat ur handset was clonned? Can u give more details? In any case, u can go to the nearest HUTCH Outlet and let them know that u think ur handset sim has been clonned and u want to keep it on a check by the provider.

If u go to Techtree's link on that page and search for rimweb on the page, u'd find Bhuppy saying joeant.com also enlists the forum! Now we know how rimweb's popularity grew so much in the last so many months! I guess, other members also wud be promoting it quite alot!

Cyber Cafe doesn't seem that good a proposition to me considering the penetration of PCs in homes in urban areas! Might be good for C Class Metros or even smaller! Wat say? Though i usually end up seeing loads of ppl at the cafe, even in my locality. But its usually in the nites when the speeds r low!

It seems to be jus a variant of earlier SLIM. They might have simply solved the bugs of earlier SLIM, like burning batteries and all ! The battery of that phone used to heat up like a burner!! Even worse than any LG phone!

I've been told that u need to pay for the cable laying charges for such leased lines. But trust me, once that gets done, it surely can work out cheaper, eventually! Infact a few establishments who have more than 10connections each get together and get such a thing set up, it can work out well!!

Good News! Is the phone still avl freely everywhere? Whts the recent price?

For RIM and TATA they might be the Landline Nos. !! FWP (Fixed Wireless Phone). Its a local WLL Fixed Phone. But a wireless one. So it might be treated as WLL !! Maybe somebody would put more light on this!

Well All this while, while calling from Mumbai to Goa from Landline to Landline was "local" in words(by dialling '95'), the pulse was actually lower and hence it was calling local at STD rates! Same thing i guess applies for cellphones, wherein u call other cellphones within ur circle at a specified STD tariff! Remember, that the word STD has still not been deleted from the dictionary of TRAI. So calls outside your home SDCA ie. for me, Mumbai, are still STD but called "within Circle STD Calls". Check out this link for clarity. http://www.relianceinfo.com/Infocomm/Rim/r...y_reckoner.html They dont have to announce any special tariffs for all this. Its already there in their tariff. Its jus that Mumbai has been merged with Maharashtra and similarly for others!

I really doubt if they provide jus WLL Anymore! I'd be keen to know more abt this too!

Thnx dacodecz & Puneet for ur detailed explanations. Umm, The virus on my Comp is pretty under control now. But i soon shall be formatting the entire HDD and wont be importing any of the old data to avoid the virus on the clean HDD. So i want to experiment a lil with it. Reason being, i simply want to try out Linux, but then there are ppl at home, who wouldnt be able to do without their Windows. Sopes, as Vishal says, he uses both the OS on the same machine. For which i'd have to have a Linux Setup Proggie with me. I already have a WinXP with me. 1. Are Linux Setups downloadable in relatively good time? How heavy is the Setup? 2. What shud i install first? WindowsXP or Linux? 3. After installing the 1st, how do i install the second? Bootable CD or something? 4. It would be gr8 to have a step-by-step thing, so that i can take a print and follow the instructions! Do drop ur phone numbers, which i can use in times of trouble

U'll need to visit a Samsung Service Center for any of such problems. It is most possible that the motherboard of the Phone has got affected by falling down. Anyways, jus go to the Service Center n tell them that the display went off one night, They'll open it up and let u know what best is possible. Btw, the Phone has jus 1 yr warranty. Incase u r under DAPO, the phone would have 3yr Insurance, by which u can claim insurance(ur money back) for any repairs incurred. But sadly, ppl r not able to recover their money back thru Insurance becoz of sad National Insurance Policies! They jus dont get back to u. They r situated in Navi Mumbai and u have to go there a hundred times to get ur own money back. Go to the service center first, n let us know what they say. I'll tell u wat i had done for one of such issues i had wid my Samsung 191 phone, then.

Where can i find the "differences" between using a Home Edition or a Professional Edition?? I've been using the Professional Edition for more than a year now. If some1 could provide me a link for the "differences" then i could make a choice.
