This is an interesting thing which i actually wanted to note it down on the forum! Jus yesterday i visited the LG ASC at Lower Parel, and u'll be stunned to see the no. of customers that come from far-flung places in Mumbai to this service Center. It has been noticed that none of the other service centers except the Lower Parel one is well-equipped. The personnel at Lower Parel are damn good at their work and do things in time. But due to the overload the waiting period at this ASC has increased from 20 mins to min 45 mins! absolutezero, a simple advice... Go to LowerParel if u want ur work done soon. u'll have to leave ur handset at the ASC for the replacement of PCB. Walk in at anytime of the day(10am-6pm), they'll make u wait till they check it up and ask u to come back the next day after 4pm for taking the handset. I have got this done for my 6130. Before going all the way there, if u want u can even call them up on on 9323190404 and talk to Either BrijMohan or Kawwal, and ask them if the PCBs are readily avl wid them. Ok? chill dude, everything's fine

If sending tones thru ur regular email clients or SMTP is not working then this RIM MMS Site is good enuf. Dont ask me whether its getting charged. Am still awaiting my first R-World bill, its not even a month dudes! Moreover 3 bucks for an MMS is much cheaper than those sick Indiatimes Ringtones which cost 10 bucks! So chill!

If even this doesn't work, Jus go to the LG Service Center and ask them to upgrade ur phone. Before that make sure they take a Backup of ur PhoneBook
-
Jus get a s/w upgrade and ur prob will be mostly solved. If it doesn't even after an upgrade tell the Service Center dude n he'll help u wid it.

Did any1 think that Anil uses Mukesh's RIM?? Read this to know! Anil Ambani alleges phone tapping, demands probe April 07, 2005 18:22 IST Rediff.com Reliance vice chairman Anil Ambani has sought a government probe into tapping of his phones by "unscrupulous individuals" working for Reliance Infocomm, headed by his elder brother Mukesh, even as the camps of two brothers are negotiating a settlement to resolve the ownership dispute. The mastermind of "this criminal operation I am led to believe by reliable sources" is a director of Reliance Infocomm, Anil Ambani said in a letter written to Home Minister Shivraj Patil, in which he has named the director. The government is believed to have forwarded the letter to intelligence agencies for initial inquiry. The home ministry had last month extended a security cover to Anil after he complained of receiving threatening calls. In his communication Anil said that the concerned director is a "directly affected party" in any family settlement that takes place over the coming months on issues that have been widely reported in the media. Anil also named two top officials of the Reliance Group, accusing them of assisting the director. Stating that "their action, if true," constitute an unprecedented and criminal invasion of privacy and gross violation of his constitutional rights both as an elected member of Parliament and a private citizen, Anil said "in view of the grave and shocking nature of the charges, I would urge you to order an urgent official inquiry into the matter by a competent government agency." Amid reports that Anil may get Reliance Infocomm, Reliance Energy and Reliance Capital as part of settlement between the two brothers, the latest development may cast a shadow on the negotiation process. He said that people involved in tapping of his mobile and land line phones had understandably imported GSM chip cloning machines and other tapping equipment that are available for sale in Israel and other other countries. "Using this equipment directly and through privately hired parties these unscrupulous elements have cloned GSM chips of my numbers as well as those numbers being used by my personal staff," Anil said in a recent communication to Patil.

Broadband rates may fall this week Source: Business Standard. MSN India.com Leased line rates in the country may be cut later this week, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) Chairman Pradip Baijal said during a panel discussion on "Enabling a regulatory framework for the digital age" at FICCI-FRAMES today. Baijal also emphasised the need for lower broadband rates. According to him, while developed countries like South Korea had broadband rates as low as $1 (Rs 43.79) a month, India currently pays $4 per subscriber on a monthly basis for a 100 kbps broadband connection. He said Trai was in consultations with the government to lower the rates to $1 a month. He highlighted the role of private players in the development of telecom infrastructure and said they had been responsible for the increase in tele density to 2.11 per cent in 2004 alone.

Some1 mentioned abt the "carriage return". I want to note here that in a 2030 i could view 'certain' msgs that came from GSM mobiles with proper carriage returns. But couldn't fwd them the same way. It would switch to the earlier line. But in the case of LG6130, the carriage return does come when the msg is Forwarded as well. But i dont know how to manually add it while creating a new msg! can somebody help?

WebWorlds sell at MRP and hence the price would be quite high! What u could do is find some dealers in your city who sell Reliance handsets, and get to know from them abt the current rates. Dealers usually have higher profit margins and hence can sell at prices lower than MRP. And yeh, remember to ask them if the handset is box-packed and also will u get a reciept wid it.(Without the reciept u might lose out on the warranty)

That was R-Connect and not R-World!
-
We can transfer it via Data Cable as well in LG6130. But interestingly MMS Menu is not part of R-World for LG 6130! Sopes, no charges? I wonder!

Remember, its not jus that what a Operator can provide. At the end of the day, it has to stay profitable to sustain on a long-term basis rather than jus providing FREE stuff, eating away into other's revenues and having a negative growth. Apparently such things make the situation so sad that neither the operator earns, nor does it let others earn!! Thts wht u see with RIM!
