I was jus lucky to be in the upload and download category for the PhoneBook Transfer thing! It works super cool (it does gives errors, but keep trying!) I couldn't imagine myself transfering 250 contacts with 625 numbers in all manually! This was jus so easy! Though since the 6130 doesn't have a label for FAX, the fax nos didn't get transfered... but in most cases, i had used the FAX label for storing the international format nos.!

I would like to know, who makes politicians, buearaucrats corrupt? Lets look into ourselves, before blaming someone else!
-
Well the problem faced in 2030, is resolved for 6130 as far as the Caller ID is concerned. We dont need to store the nos in international format (0091....) anymore.

Try n keep RIM handsets open in atmospheric air. Lamination is the last thing u shud use for the handset.

Nokia phones to cost less! March 04, 2005 17:20 IST Rediff.com In the wake of positive announcements in the Union Budget pertaining to the telecom sector, Nokia may cut prices of its mobile handsets in India, a senior company executive hinted on Friday. Describing Budget proposals as being very beneficial to the telecom industry, Nokia India's Head (Marketing), Sanjay Behl, said in Bangalore: "Whatever measures announced in the Budget, we will pass it on to consumers as early as possible. That action is going on right now." The telecom industry is very happy with the friendly Budget, he added. Consumers of telecom products in general can now avail better benefits, Behl said. "We (telecom industry) are very happy that the government has taken a consistent policy on telecom. Overall, budget has been friendly for the telecom industry. We expect it's going to augur well for the future of this industry." Meanwhile, Nokia on Friday launched its first concept store in India at Bangalore. Behl said the company has plans to roll out such a store at Delhi and eventually to all top cities.

Its time they send handsets to rimweb.com for testing
-
Thts wht i was wondering! Anyways, here u go buddy!
-
Maybe Yes (By Mistake) Rem that RIM has complete control over all its handsets. And an upgrade or anything can enable/disable certain features.
-
Finally its worth the wait! Upgrading from 2030 to anything else is as a big game! 2030 was an absolute delight to use! It was damn vulnerable to everything. Now i finally upgraded to a 6130, and its an equally bigger n better delight! Though it has its own loop-holes, its a much better version amongst RIM offerings! after alot of R&D and weighing the pros-cons, this stands high above CDMA n GSM handsets in the 6k range!

Ringtones For Nokia 2280 !
Chirag replied to Rohit Rocker's topic in Ringtones / Wallpapers / Themes / Applications / Games
Maybe ppl had lost hopes and are not visiting the forum! See if u can gather ur 2280 frenz and ask them to visit the forum here! Or maybe use the SMS portal for mass-messaging and telling ppl that Ringtones are avl for 2280! Moreover, most N2280 were sold during the Hungama Period. And since the hungama is over, N2280 era is also over! They dont even sell N2280 anymore! -
in 5800 u'll get it as a prepaid connection. If u already have a handset and want to transfer ur no. onto the new piece, ask the dealer to transfer the new prepaid over a blank handset, and transfer ur no. onto the new handset. All this is possible only at these "dealers". u got to find 1 in ur city!
-
If its still active, on dialling *228 it shud say, "Your phone has already been Actived". It says on my postpaid atleast!

Changed to vijayg

Welcome aboard bro!
-
not sure. Maybe not a license but surely "rights" from the music companies!
-
Glad to have u back buddy. Did u get a chance to read thru the amazing reviews that ppl who own these have given here? Check out the LG and Nokia forums and u'll have them there!
-
Well all u can get is a good detailed review here. The best handset for u may not be the best for some1 else. And the same is vice-versa. So it wud be better to weigh the good n bad things for urself according to ur requirements!
-
the thing i mentioned is abt the HCC. U can get a HCC(Handset Change Card) from any of Rel WebWorlds.

ngcoderg Standing ovation to the guy who started the revolution at rimweb! Birthday cheers to ctrlaltdel !!

to the general public, it wont really matter who gets what share. But wht wud matter wud be the split in the multi-crore biz. The split will also mean that such a huge biz that india cud always boast of, will now be broken into pieces! I wonder wht wud have happened if dhirubhai had more sons!
-
This is posted on the RIM website for HCC Now, if u see closely and try,... Follor step1, and dont use step2 on any other handset... It might render the first handset useless. I dont really know. But it might jus work. Its worth trying coz a HCC hardly costs anything. If at all it doesn't work, the first handset will get its old no. back. And if u dont follow step 2 and the thing works, ur first handset will get de-activated and ready for a new GSK after a day or two!

If u know who is StaticElectricity on this forum, u shud get in touch wid him. when i met him personally the first time, he showed me a small (mini) FM broadcasting system that he had made in his 8th Std(Now he is in 1st yr of Engg). He actually showed me that and we used it to broadcast stuff from that small mic he had, and i could hear his voice on my Radio System at a specific Mhz. Radio Broadcasting involves Licensing from the govt. Moreover to broadcast songs, u also need telecast rights from the music companies!
