geez! whom r u asking! :'( Am a complete zero at tech stuff! heheh And as of now none of us know how to get these tools! If any1 wud know they'd reach u for sure!

Alrite, if thts the case, then it plainly s*cks! If we cant know the name of the corresponding no. from the phone book, its logically useless! I guess there cud have been a better way to let the recipient know tht this msg has not originated frm the cellphone! This is not really the way to go by making the incoming no part of the msg!! correct? I've played arnd with a quite a few GSM phones too! lolz, but whts this got to do in this topic? How is the Center no. relevant here?
-
Sames the case wid me! Wil have to wait a lil longer!
-
Beetle, did u really try it out urself? Who says that its not the FROM no? When Manoj msgd me, it showed his no. itself with a stupid "colon" added to it! Get that now? If that colon wouldn't be there, we could simply selected REPLY and bingo, there u go! Maybe its different in Hyd

I guess the good old Bitpim n MMS method is better! Atleast the ringtones sound cool!
-
Vaibhav,The website mentions tht there r 16 Polyphonic RTs in the phone. Did u mean, that there is no space to save more? And it also reads - "Java platform for R World (except video)" So no video on this phone huh? Whts the use of Colour Display! Whts the final pricing of this model? 7k?
-
"supposed to be"! What does that mean here? Y shud it be that way. The no. could have simply been without the colon and we could have directly replied via SMS! Isn't that better?
-
Chill guys! I would be glad if we had some comparison between 6130 n 6000 stop arguing over petty things of RIM!!
-
Manoj jus smsd me some time back. His no. is stored in my Phone. But when i got his msg, his no. was 09323xxxxxx: do u'll see the colon after the no.? Thts the reason the Corresponding Name wasn't recognised from the Phone Book in the SMS! Now heres 1 more bug

Maybe these r jus ways of RIM testing stuff thru RIMweb community? Where could they find a dedicated 1000+ strong RIM addicts? Whtever! We are at an advantage!! Get more of ur frenz introduced here and keep SMSing! Any1 knows abt the GROUP LISTS mentioned in the Help Section? How do u set it up!
-
Now thts super cool, psarna! Wish they supported all other Mobiles too. No issues! Somethings better than nothing, huh? Can some1 tell me why the message delivery is set to an email id as well? Wht could be the logic behind it? though nothings wrong, but still would like to understand! And how do u set the Group Lists in this?
-
Isn't the quality of tones pathetic?? Guess they shud induct some pros of RIMweb.com to make some good quality rtones!
-
Can u guys give me some city with a corresponding zipcode?

It cud possibly be something similar to the Corporate thing tht they had launched using R-World. Wherein, the registered schools could let the parents n teachers access Information either thru R-World or thru this site! Reliance does have a school in Bandra-Kurla complex! Its called Dhirubhai Ambani International School. Here kids walk-in with Laptops! No jokes!

China launches dual-mode cellphones August 06, 2004 16:16 IST Rediff.com China on Friday officially launched the world's first dual-mode mobile phones, which function in both GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) and CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) networks. China Unicom, the communist nation's second largest telecom carrier, launched the first 400,000-plus dual-mode phones it purchased directly from manufacturers across the country. The phones are expected to sell out by December, chairman and president of China Unicom, Wang Jianzhou said. The new-type mobile phones, priced between yuan 4,500 (about $542.17) and yuan 4,800 (about $578.31), enable users to switch between the GSM and CDMA networks easily with just the push of a button. It would allow customers to have the best of both world -- the unique features of CDMA network and the vast coverage of GSM network. Analysts say the new product will further strengthen the competitive power of China Unicom, the world's third largest mobile operator, which currently operates China's only CDMA network and second largest GSM network. China Unicom lags behind China Mobile, the biggest mobile communications network in China, in terms of scale and signal coverage of its GSM network. As an expedient means, some people carry a CDMA mobile phone of China Unicom and a GSM mobile phone of China Mobile at the same time. Now with one phone, they could enjoy the advantages of both services.
