Trai Unlikely To Pare Inter-connect Charges Drastically
Himanshu Singh replied to ravi_patent's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
Telcos need incentives to go to rural areas? What a joke? The hitherto untapped rural market in itself is the biggest incentive. Those who ignore rural telephony will do so at their own peril. Urban centres are already saturated. Villages are going to be the new growth engines of telecom industry... The cut in termination fee will not lead to cut in tariff as of now atleast for the existing GSM ROBBERS AND BEGGARS. Reason is simple- economic slowdown coupled with ever falling ARPUs.. Its only the new entrants who can offer something cheaper. i suspect reliance might do something..but what happens to virgin scheme of 10 paisa on incoming? they were giving 10 paisa of termination fee of 30 paisa to their customers.. -

Idea has launched an easy recharge of Rs.199 which offers unlimited local on net calls for 30 days. The recharge is applicable for gang customers too. It is being launched as a limited period offer in Delhi. AFAIK with this idea becomes the first GSM network to launch an unlimited pack among the well established telcos in india. -

Reliance GSM - Problems ! Problems ! & Problems!
Himanshu Singh replied to ipkonfig's topic in Miscellaneous
I stay in south delhi and for the initial fortnight the indoor signals were too weak to make or receive calls. But since last seven eight days the signals have improved considerably and there is no call drop and there is full signal. The only problem which remains now is customer support which hopefully will be available soon. I have cdma reliance too which saves me from this inconvenience though. -

Do You Think Reliance Is Reliable?
Himanshu Singh replied to rajeshshah_fun's topic in Reliance Communications
most people who have bad experience with reliance mobile are those who have cared little about getting the right information about plans or recharges. its easy to blame the operator even for your own faults. the issues of poor signals are a relative thing for all companies. somewhere you get great coverage elsewhere you dont. its the same with every company. at least reliance has always heard my complaints about every petty thing. again one needs to be well informed about any service or product before jumping into it and later criticising the company. -
Who Is Making More Revenue
Himanshu Singh replied to ravi_patent's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
ET writes today that Airtel has adjusted gross revenue of more than 7000 crore while Rcomm has 3200 crore. We may recall how Airtel used to boast about being numero uno in terms of number of subscribers. Now they have started singing a new tune about revenues.Obviously they will have more revenues because they offer the most expensive plans and services. Let MNP come and then we may have a better view. They are going to feel the heat of competition from every new operator and their revenue would surely dip as subscribers get fragmented. -

Which Operator And Which Plan Will You Suggest Me In Delhi
Himanshu Singh posted a topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Friends, I am at Delhi and I have usage of 400 mins of STD and about 200 mins of local calls and unlimited calls to one number and another 500 local and 500 national sms.. currently i am using reliance pre paid with life time jaadu pack for local@0.50 and std@1, idea my gang for national sms@0.10, reliance gsm for std@0.70 and mtnl prepaid for 600 free local sms@30 rupees and mtnl postpaid for unlimited on net calls to one particular number@50 rupees per month.. The issue is that i am finding it difficult to handle so many numbers and handsets.. i have thought of getting a dual sim set by the end of this month. my std calls are mostly to one state only.. i just want to keep one dual sim set and one gsm set which means 3 numbers. i am willing to try out any operator pre or post in delhi.. i am game to spend 800 to 1000 per month. any suggestions? -
