I've had FF vs IE flame wars with Microsofties and I'll tell ya one thing they are stupid. They wont change no matter what. I had this flame war when IE7 was no where on M$'s agenda! And still the guy kept justifying how IE was better than FF. He was plain stupid

very good indeed kagashe.

Wimax In India, Mtnl To Be The First To Setup Wimax
linuxguy replied to KumaarShah's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
Yes, that was a sarcastic comment. MTNL need not roll out WiMax in Mumbai and Delhi. It needs to concentrate on satisfying its existing ADSL users first! -
Qualacomms gonna die soon lest they open up their specs....
-
Haha...great one @ksh@T! Qualacomm is stifling the growth in the CDMA sector. Why and how? Well the why is simple - Money. How? Well since their handsets are operator specific, people cannot sell their handsets like in the GSM markets. The onus of marketing, distribution, programming, testing, virtually everything lies on the operator. That saves their costs which means big $$$ wins for Qualacomm. Next people cant sell their handsets to people of other operators either! So people will simply buy new ones . People can't complain about their quality, usability, features either! Plus licensing, royalties etc... are added income to Qualacomm. Anti-trust law suit against Qualacomm!!! We NEED Open Hardware which will KICK Qualacomm's a$$. We need LINUX's equivalent for the HARDWARE sector! It is only then Qualcomm will come to its senses!

Reliance Communications, Intel Join Hands
linuxguy replied to abhay's topic in Reliance Communications
riiight....and do u really think these B and C grade cities are going to have ppl who are willing to pay even 400 bucks a month for getting internet through a handset? Reliance has purely gone mad. B and C grade cities first need to solve BASIC problems like road, water, electricity and jobs... -
similar service available on hutch? (Mumbai)??

Hi...thanks guys. I'll checkout cellebrum, clickatell and others. I want this for my personal use. I have a lot of friends outside Bombay and even though I have DAPO its not at all cost effective. 1000 SMSs too might be an overkill for me but I would want to try it nevertheless. Ashokjp, what details do you require? Can you let me know the cost per month for say a 500-1000 SMSes? I am looking for a good legit provider which is also cost effective i.e. anything below 70p would be great. Can you PM me?

Reliance Communication To Enter Gsm Services
linuxguy replied to abhay's topic in Reliance Communications
Shiva, GSM is VERY OLD as compared to CDMA. CDMA is more spectrum efficient, advanced technology compared to GSM. Most operators use GSM because its a standard while CDMA is nascent. GSM is more matured and widely deployed. GSM can't deliver the data rates that CDMA can deliver. -
Reliance Communication To Enter Gsm Services
linuxguy replied to abhay's topic in Reliance Communications
are you crazy? Reliance wont sell out its CDMA network to TATAs. It will be like giving out a HUGE investment to TATA for dirt cheap price. What I still feel is that Reliance wanna milk the GSM market in Mumbai, Delhi. We have the highest ARPUs here. While doing so it is threatening Qualacomm at the same time. Ek teer aur do nishane! Wonderful lil' Ambani! Wonderful!! -
