bleh, Reliance BB is not available at any place except their webworlds. I dont know what lil' ambani is doing? Sleeping over it i guess...
-
Hopefully we will see the fastest roll out of airtel broadband!
-
Hmm...this may be bad news for local call tarrifs. They will surely go up as a result of this! *shudders* Already am paying 2bucks a minute to orange for local calls!
-
Heh. Just wait until Apple releases x86 based machines! Windows will have a tough rival then!
-
15 bucks per what? Minute, hour, day, month, year??? or the dreaded second?

I have a SATA hd. The slow speed is certainly NOT due to the harddisk speeds. It's due to the huge electronic intereference that is present at my place. The connection drops to a 11b and then goes down to 5.5Mbps. When I switch off other electronic equipment, it goes upto 11Mbps or more.... JFYI, I dont get FM at all in the room where I have my PC and other equipment. While in other rooms I get it clearly

Yeah, the light has to be of minimum intensity...

lol no. It was just once while changing channels when I thought it was interesting! And ekta kapoor is

wonderful move!

This is stupid. Anil should sell off the infrastructure to his competitors meanwhile setup CDMA network in the city and slowly transition all its customers to CDMA. It makes more sense than entering Mumbai with the aim of setting up the GSM network. Whats he going to compete with? RIM CDMA?? Besides he will have more coverage!

Just wait here. If you are getting carried away by the prospects of getting seamless connectivity using Wi Max or Wifi or any other wireless technology then I am sorry to cripple your dreams! I have a wireless network at my place. All equipment is top of the line 802.11g. But I still get transfer rates of not more than 5.5Mbps when I am in two different rooms. Yeah, the signal is heavily attenuated due to a lot of barriers at my place along with a lot of electronic equipment interfering with my wifi signals... So just imagine the wireless internet connection from BSNL or MTNL... You will have to go near the window to get a clear signal and then you will get a good speed. Just imagine how the operators will get away with cheating you! Selling you a 10Mbps connection but blaming your equipment for slow connectivity and bad signal. My point, all technologies have their pros and cons. Wirelss connectivity is promising but lets not get carried away just yet. This is India afterall...
-
dude give the news source! Anywyay, i think the same problem is responsible for BSNL and MTNL not opening up the copper to all players ...
-
CDMA is extremely superior to GSM, in terms of noise immunity, quality, reliability, etc.... I remember when I first took DAPO, the signal was so strong that I could get it even in basements. But now there are too many subscribers and the signal is so weak at some places that its very difficult to talk....
-
This is so stupid. I want to talk to MTNL CMD RSP Sinha. It doesnt matter if they charge us 0 rupees and only 10 paise per MB of download! It still will turn out to be COSTLY. I think the reason why MTNL cut its tarrifs are because they couldn't get a good subscriber base and now with TRAI pressurising them they need to grow and fast. Thats why they cut prices from 399 to 199!! What else could cause them to take such a drastic step! Open up the local loop you f****** b****** retards!!! edit: BTW with airtel coming to mumbai, there is a new local loop being made. They are laying their own copper! So with Airtel ADSL we will be assured of clear phone lines and fast serivces!
-
No. MTNL's network is better than you think. If reliance or any other operators enters into an agreement then they will surely kick mtnl's butt if they receive complaint from users about mtnl's line quality

Will Reliance Also Introduce Network On Wheels
linuxguy replied to @ksh@T's topic in Reliance Communications
Nah. It was only after DAPO was announced that all GSM operators started crapping in their pants. Remember initially it was 10s pulse and 40paise / min to ANY phone and incomming free? It was only after that Orange, BPL, Airtel and others gave free incomming -
I am sorry but 60Kbps is totally insufficient for VoIP. I have a 64Kbps connection and the sound was terrible. Nobody could hear what I was saying and neither could I hear what others were saying... Minimum 128Kbps is required for VoIP

That is a completely sick handset. And why has LG resorted to copying Samsung. I mean they used to copy Samsung a lot but with dignity i.e. change the design a bit. But this phone is a completely copy!

Hmm...I hope Anil doesn't mess up Infocomm. It's the one which brought free incoming calls to Mumbai!! -
Trai isn't a "strong" authority. Lets just wait and see what happens...
-
chirag, i know what AJAX is and I also know that google came up with it first. But just look at the two services. M$'s service is much slicker...
-
adwait, that is what TRAI was harping about - Unbundling the local loop!
-
We NEED a DEDICATED ISP not these stupid Telcos... and please quote your news source!
-
lets see. TRAI has just "recommended" these things. Its upto the operators to act...

Yeah. Reliance did use it and it was towed away by BMC in Mumbai for illegally parking
