News is copyrighted. You need to atleast mention the source...

haha true. I mean how can they keep music from being copied? If I have an extremely protected DRM enabled CD. I just play it on my DRM enabled PC with all the Sony crap and instead of playing from my speakers use a digital recorder to record it in mp3 format! What they can do is uniquely finger print every copy they ever sell. They can then analyze each pirated mp3 to determine the source of the pirated mp3. They have started using this technique in laser printers to determine the source of fake notes...

I mentioned 128Kbps because that was put up as a broadband plan BEFORE TRAI and DoT defined broadband as min. 256Kbps. Are there no hopes of Reliance launching its broadband services earlier???

Spectrum for Customer Base for 3G Rollout in India
linuxguy replied to @ksh@T's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
It's not just that. I will have fun watching these looters paying huge sums to the government for spectrum which they so dearly need . It's what they do to us. They make us pay dearly for that little talktime they give >:-( -
Spectrum for Customer Base for 3G Rollout in India
linuxguy replied to @ksh@T's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
I think the operators should buy the spectrum by bidding -
these people are crazy! It's like the answer is in front of them but they dont want to look at it. They need to REMOVE the data cap and the PORT cap that ISPs place on their connections... AND also give everyone of us a public IP
-
I hope Airtel expands its business quickly! BSNL isnt far too behind.
-
Yeah, once IPv6 is implemented the ISPs dont have a reason NOT to give us a public IP

Dont start up on phillips. They have spoilt their name terribly. I had bought a Philips stereo system about 2-3 years ago. The warranty was for 2 years. As expected, at the fag end of 2 years, the player started failing i.e. the CDs wont play, the tapes would get stuck and normal stuff. I called them up like 30 times in the month (literally every day) before they attended my system. When they did, they stuck me with a quotation of 5000 bucks to get it working... I said what the hell? And asked him to do it. He said he will have to place the order for the parts as they didn't have them ready. But there was no further communication from them. I called them up after a month or so and they were still waiting for the parts to arrive. Finally I gave up. They always give empty assuarances. But then after a year or so they call me up to take an AMC with them as my warranty was about to expire(yeah! 1 year late). I was so _angry_ I gave the operator a good piece of my mind in VERY strong words. Yeah, thats India for you. And I hope Mukesh would do something to atleast change Reliance.

the problem is that in India, the routers are not IPv6 ready yet. The ISPs will have to invest a lot of money to get themselves IPv6 routers. Plus the routing tables on IPv6 routers are HUGE....

nokia displays are inherently low quality. Doesnt matter if it is a top of the line piece costing 20K or more. Still the quality is inferior. Go in for a samsung if you care for a good display. My Samsung C100 has an excellent display with sharp contrast and very good brightness. The display is of very high quality...

There is a fine line between a visionary and a fool...... Dunno if mukesh has crossed it. But here is a reality check for you guys -> China is already 6-7 TIMES richer than India. . Our GDP will have to grow 10 TIMES to catch up with China in about 10-20 years time...
