people, in the international market these guys arent charged by the Data Transfer Volume(DTV) rather by the bandwidth they buy. For example if these guys buy 100Mbps bandwidth from an international ISP then they have to pay them flat. They arent charged for 100GBs of download/upload. They have to pay these guys a flat sum whether their network transfers 1GB or 100TB!

link?

dude, China is just as far away from the US as we are but they have a hell lot more bandwidth than India! Their bandwidth was 2.7GHz in the last year and this year it has doubled to 5.4GHz! Just think of how much infrastructure these guys have built in just one year >

Why dont these guys just spit on our faces rather than making fun of us

Chinese people have progressed at a very high pace. We should certainly learn from them. eskay, almost all of the new international bandwidth will go to the corporates. They are just hungry for bandwidth and with the increased number of call centres and BPOs in India we are going to choke if we dont utilize all of Tyco & Flags possible bandwidth Ok, i had to edit my post. We are backward Indians!

what about the amount of international bandwidth they?? Anybody have any idea? If thats choked then there is no hope for us

which ISP are you using? Which OS are you running?
-
i think its US/Canada/EU only like yahoo mail. You wont get 100MB in yahoo if you are located in India etc...

omg why dont these guys advertise!

What a coincidence! I too am from Mumbai. How much time did it take you to reach here BTW guys i am a Engineering student, a forum hog, and a great fan of the internet :'(

Where??? how?? I live in Mumbai and havent heard of such Free calls WLL phone :'( Everyone is excited about these new offers from MTNL, Reliance, BSNL etc... But have you guys thought about one thing - Internation Bandwidth. I rarely saw it come up on this forum. Even if the ISP is providing us with say 10Mbps what use is it if he has got a choked international bandwidth? If he needs to keep up with his end of the bargain then he better have a Gigabit network(i.e. atleast 10-100GBps redundant backbones)
