  2. My link Now they are offering these pack of HSIA(read EVDO) handset also This makes chepest 3g/evdo plan in india. also ofeering EVDO data from mobile for handset tethering It's cheper than photon plus tariff. i.e. 1GB at just 300, compared to photon plus at Rs650. TATA rocks in EVDO plan, reliance s**ks. Although EVDO coverage is more in reliance, but still no reached to end customer. And EVDO speed of reliance is less compared to tata bcoz of of high contention ratio Practically TATA leads in EVDO, theoretically reliance is winner.
  3. @sambit but free benifit's will be lapsed/
  4. TATA's EVDO Coverage

it's illogical or may be SOME new BRAINCHILD of tata. Bcoz single TATA Docomo network holds subsciber form 1) tata docomo 2) virgin mobile 3) T24 mobile(future group) and if they add INDICOM GSM, then it will be overloaded or smart utilization of GSM/3G network to get maximum revenue. Network utilization will be better than uninor stategy of 24hrs "Badalata Discount PLAN".. let's see future. BTW where docomo service not available in state/cities?
  5. source Open Market for CDMA Handsets Continues to Grow as CDG-Led OMH Initiative Enters Next Phase of Global Expansion OMH Success and Device Selection in India is Creating Greater Flexibility and Consumer Choice COSTA MESA, Calif., Feb 23, 2010 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) -- The CDMA Development Group (CDG) today announced that the open market for CDMA2000® handsets has grown considerably in India since the CDG-led OMH initiative was launched in 2009, and is expected to expand to new regions worldwide this year. In addition to the first OMH-enabled handset, the Samsung MPower 699, five more devices are now available: Micromax's C350; Samsung's Corby 339, Duos 259, and MPower Muzik 219; and SIM Technology's C24. Reliance Communications, Sistema Shyam (MTS), Tata Teleservices and Virgin Mobile India are all offering OMH SIM cards and supporting OMH devices on their networks to provide greater user choice and flexibility. Consumers in India can now select the CDMA2000-enabled OMH device, network and mobile data services they desire. "Over the past six months, we've seen the open market model provide a larger CDMA2000 device selection," said Perry LaForge, executive director of the CDG. "India has lived up to its promise as an ideal launch market for OMH, and we look forward to expanding the OMH initiative worldwide this year." OMH, part of the CDG's Global Handset Requirements for CDMA (GHRC) initiative, enables operator-specific network configuration, service provisioning and subscriber-identity data to be moved from the handset's internal memory onto a next-generation OMH SIM card. By doing so, the handset becomes a generic device that can be sold on the "open market" and used by multiple operators, providing consumers a greater selection of CDMA2000 devices and the flexibility to select the operator and mobile data services they desire. The open market model also improves device time-to-market, expands distribution channels, and reduces inventory risk for manufacturers and operators. The CDG is working with over 50 CDMA operators, device and R-UIM/SIM card manufacturers and distributors worldwide to bring more OMH devices to market and assist operators to configure their networks to support OMH. In addition to the Indian operators, CDMA operators in Bangladesh, Indonesia and Nigeria are also OMH-compliant and will be supporting OMH devices on their networks later this year. "As a member of the CDG, Qualcomm is working closely with device manufacturers and CDMA operators to implement this strategically important initiative," said Nakul Duggal, Vice President, Qualcomm Corporate Engineering Services. "Micromax, Samsung, SIM, MTS, Reliance, Tata and Virgin Mobile have all taken a leading role in promoting the value of OMH. As more and more device manufacturers and operators in Nigeria, Indonesia and elsewhere become OMH-compliant, we believe the OMH initiative will increase CDMA device variety and provide greater subscriber flexibility." OMH SIM cards for CDMA2000 devices are more powerful than traditional SIM cards, enabling the most advanced service features available on the market, including voice services, SMS, MMS, downloadable 3G packet data applications, location-based services and high-speed Internet browsing. In addition, the broadband data capabilities of OMH devices will take on an increased significance in India, where CDMA broadband data services are already available to Indian consumers and enterprises. OMH SIM cards are also backward-compatible and can support the same quality of services enabled by existing R-UIM enabled devices. OMH-compliant devices and SIM cards are easily recognizable by the trademarked OMH gem logo.
  6. World's First OMH EVDO Modem

I feel Anydata and Micomax modems are RUIM based but not OMH complaint. Means EVDO parameters are picked from Modem memory and not from RUIM. They normally come with all possible operators' settings when released in respective geography. For example, Micromax(300C) modem comes with all Indian CDMA operators(BSNL,TATA,RCOM & MTS) EVDO settings pre-programmed. Suppose, if you take this Micromax(300C) modem to Bangladesh/Pakistan/Indonesia, it may not work with that country's CDMA operator's RUIM since those operators settings are not pre-programmed. micromax 300c device is used by me from last 8 months. it reads OMH and non OMH sim correctly. IF u use non omh sim, then it shows only 1x coverage and if use OMH then EVDO coverage. but it might true that it may had PRL setting in built in modem.
  7. TATA's EVDO Coverage

reliance CDMA 1x network in MP is very good.
  8. MTS being cdma operator now start trail of free device AFTER HTC pulse and BLACKBERRY now it's USB modem which comes free.

  12. BSNL Provide EVDO In SIM

these are are not including service tax, so if u r going for unlimted plan 750, then u must have RS750 main balance in ur account, so 750+st = RS827, and same way it goes to other plan. i have made new calculation for annual plan. promo scheme so first get new sim by paying Rs350, then rechage with Rs221. see below link u will get Rs221 TT with 365 days validity, then top up with RS 5590 on top up u will get TT 8385 so total TT 8385+221+399 = 9005 total validity : 50+365= 415 total cost : 350+221+5590= 6161. and u will get unlimited plan for 1 year at just Rs 513/month. BSNL CDMA EVDO, chepest broadband with NO FUP .
  13. SO THEY ARE HESITATING TO PATCH SECURITY ISSUE. AND WANT THEIR CUSTOMER TO SUFFER FOR CHOICE OF HANDSET.

  15. BSNL Provide EVDO In SIM

recently purchase BSNL OMH RUIM. schem as under paid : rs 350 Recived OMH sim card, SIM activated next day with Rs750 plan. Balance is showing negative 750. ( sadly , Rs399 tt and 50days validity not got) Then recharge with Rs 830, got full TT of rs830 ( currenly going on scheme), out of which 750 got deducted. and rs 80 is remained. then internet started, speed is upto 2mbps only. local incoming and outgoing call are going as per default rate mentioned in prepaid tariff of CDMA WLL. sms not working. overall experienced: below average. service not activated immediately, free benefit not given selling agent was unaware of fact that RCV 830, was exist. so i make recharge with my own risk. sms not working call rate high customer care number is 1502, ALL foolish people are sitting. speed never crossed 2mbps. ONLY THING WHICH IS GREAT IS UNLIMITED BROADBAND WITH NO FUP.

  18. it's correct, That virgin is abosbed by tata few month ago. One of good strategy to keep virgin mobile in india is Rebrand all tata indicom CDMA customer to Virgin mobile benefit 1)As TTSl are agree to pay royalty after exiting venture 2) too many brand will make more confusion, 3) Virgin mobile brand for CDMA, will attract more youth youth, that way increase tata subsciber base. 4) no interested config between DOCOMO and VIGIN. both foreign partner will cater to different need 5) DATA yasge on mobile( currently branded as SPEEDLIVING) can be extented with vigin mobile brand as Vbyte(international brand) with EVDO backbone.
  19. The Truth Behind Led TVs

recently brought sony bravia 32" LCD model no BX320 (latest compared to Bx300) LCD TYPE : non HD/HD ready Price paid Rs17700( purchased from dubai shop: Sharaf DG Connection type : TATA SKY standard STB( non HD) Prons : 14 different video format support, FM radio, various input connection socket cons : need good music system for full MOVIE/THEATER experience.
  20. it's good that Discount is given for cart value. It'e not case with ebay. So better experience for user. It's even goes BEST, that we can use gift voucher coupon within same purchase. I read an article in times of india that With introduction of COD(cash on delivery) model by many online sites. their user start buying more, even new user are added very fast. surprisingly, even yatra.co and similar also started providing COD for services they are offering
  21. though they advertise TV watching is less costly than DTH/cable operator, But due to data change over and above mobile tv subscription is making it very costlier. offer is great with android phone.
  22. great info. But how many will really turn up to tata for using this?? Everybody will have preferring for 3G only.
  23. Which Is Better - 3G or EVDO?

now i have used both TATA photon EVDO and TATA docomo 3G. I feel that 3G is is having higher speed. Both are coming from same tower ( distance of tower of 3G/EVDO to my laptop is same). Tata docomo's 3G network in my area is capable of delivering max speed of 3.6mbps and EVDO 3.1mbps, but actual result on speed test are 3G upto2.8mbps and EVDO 1.9mbps. Regarding fluctuation, EVDO was stable in older days, but now getting slight 5% fluctuation FREQUENTLY. #g was unstable previously, but now getting more stabilize. network fluctuation is very large upto 95%, but very RARELY. SO I ENJOY MORE with rare fluctuation and higher speed. Regarding tariff, For person having usage in range of above average/medium/above medium/less than large tariff is really reasonable for 3G data (including phone + pc) e.g Rs 750 for 2GB is good tariff compared to evdo of any operator.
