same problem with samsung corby on EV as well as 1x mode

No worry for bills, my number is prepaid, SO i shud get 10GB for 30days I have called to *355- they registed my complint says 4days to resolve. After 4days, call came says u have to upgrade to OMH sim card.(which i had already done) I made them talk with WW guys- then also told "he is having OMH card" After all this they closed my complint saying-upgrade sim card. again called to CC launched same complint again(poor speedm issue) This time, I was sending email to netconnect.broadband and service assurance cell Both all are hopele$$, non of them were working on my complint for 3days. on 4th day call came- told issue. Also forwarded complint to nodal officer, Visited Rcom head office in city. And mean time i was trying to connect and my phone balance was geting reduce day by day. on 5th day call came-saying complint resolved, I said let me check don't close complint I just recharged my card, try connecting Tried on phone-worked fine(cherged 0.5/mb-mobile internet) tried to connect thru laptop( gor 1.5mbps spped- chrged Rs1/mb) then i Gave reply that "SUCCESFULLY CONNECT with EV mode". and finally complaint resolved.(aur allah merban ho gaya) From yesresday new problem as jayanth is facing. Getting disconnected with EV as well as 1x mode so launched complint- again waiting for 4days. For 10 GB free usage PAPAD WW guys launched complint 2 times 1. promotional balance not credited 2. Scheme not activated For both complints Resolution by backend was "offer already credited, hence no offer is pending". WW says- can't do anythnig Email says-either solving or offer credited *355 CC- neconnect account balance is ZERO And i was being chrged for all neconnect or internet usage. When visited head office says-plz give ur handset ESN will update u shortly Till now LONG time has passed - no reply from head office. And finally nodal officer registed my free data usage complaint - wiat for 2days. Today is 2nd day. Hope today i will get free usage. Finally U have to activate default EVDO service by calling to CC.(*355) Free usage- Make complint to nodal officer.

@gauhar No need to buy from tata, it's open market phone so u r eligible for scheme. And For me, Can u ask for these scheme are availalbe for prepaid or not, If yes, i want to buy sim from AP

how the people they are targeting now??? targeting from cyclewala to Mercedies class people. Rs500 for new mobile??? or using those mobile, which was dropped in RECYLE BOX kept in nokia showroom, -all over world

Ok... Thanks for the info. Will have to make a trip to the Tata Indicom store in Hyderabad. By the way, Corby speed has lesser features than the GSM version of Corby. Maybe only the software/OS is slightly different. A couple of questions... maybe you guys and gals have figured it out... 1. Is there any way to change picture orientation from portrait to landscape for full screen view? GSM version supposedly has something... I can't find it on this phone... 2. The photo sliding is very slow and gets stuck, but youtube review of the GSM version of this phone showed smooth transitions... I tried small size, low resolution photos as well, but without any success. Is the phone faulty? 3. Some reviews said that Camera has Panorama option, but I couldn't find it on my phone... 4. In the Photo browser, is there a way to view photos stored in memory card? I can only see the ones stored in phone memory. There is no option to go to memory card. I hope there is a firmware update to iron out all problems and give CDMA users the same options that GSM users of this phone get... Thank you all... ya finally EV plan activated after Lot of HARDWORK mujhe pata hai ki kitne papad belne padete hai but still not got FREE usage. Speed on handset- is better than 1x laptop is really good, Feel like connected thru broadband data card

Hi all, I've just bought a Samsung Corby Speed a couple of hours ago, replacing my Nokia 6275. It is a simple phone. Not impressed with the BADA OS and TouchWiz at all. If I had better options in CDMA, would have selected it. But there are few good offerings in CDMA cellphones. I have a non-OMH Sim from Tata Indicom. I created a new network profile and tried to connect GPRS using those settings, but I continue to get the error everyone else gets... "Please upgrade your R-UIM for Data Services". The settings I used are... Connection Name = TATA Zone Dialer Connection Name = TATA Zone Server Dial = #777 User Name = wapuser Password = wapuser Proxy Server IP = 172.23.252.15 Proxy Server Port = 9401 Is there any way to bypass the error message and just use 1X GPRS with non-OMH sims? Cheers! try with small modification username and password shud kept blank. other thing OK, also try to connect to internet using handset as modem unsername and password "internet"

buyed this handset, also got OMH sim card, but internet not working Reason by tata executive-THEY DON”T HAVE SETTING for corby handset. Also tried doing recharge of 28,152,351-fails If anybody from other than maharashtra circle, plz confirm if recharge can be done? bcoz, on tata website, if i select maharashtra circle, it doen't show any such recharge, if selected other then maha , then it display's all above three recharge

are u sure it works ?? i cant zoom using volume keys.... am i doing something wrong ? refer to vikas solution, u have to reduce picture size to less than 2M hahaha.. pc studio also gives the same msg.. "Please upgarde the RUIM to obtain data services"... I opened the pc studio.. clicked on "widgets" and then on "internet connector"... its the same msg i get on my mobile when i try to use data service.. i dont know if i should laugh..... MTS is crap in data service field.... dont use MTS if u want to use internet on mobile... don't go to pc suite. go to network connection, then enter username and password and dial number-then dial(while doing this don't even open pc suite- if it is open, then EXIT from it) then it will surely work- i tried with tata sim card(non OMH) Also try to get username and password used by MTS data card like MBrowse and MBlaze.. are u sure it works ?? i cant zoom using volume keys.... am i doing something wrong ? hey May be you have selected the highest resolution of your pic size,,, decrease it and zoooom wil work... correct
