I am usint the latest version of zonealarm security suite. I'm facing 2 problems that I need help with. 1. It doesn't let me logon to the final msn messenger 7 release. I had no problem with the earlier versions. Although in rare cases i manage to logon. 2. It doesn't let me open Ebay India anymore. Earlier, the site used to open, but not properly. I added it to the ZASS site list after which it was working fine. Now, it wont let me open the site. As soon as i close ZASS, it lets me open the site.

NEW DELHI, MARCH 11: Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) on Friday slashed international bandwidth prices by 35-70%, a move expected to lower tariffs for international long distance (ILD) calls, Internet access and broadband services. Besides retail customers, IT and IT-enabled services companies would benefit significantly from the cut. Operators would be free to offer tariffs that are lower than the ceiling tariff fixed by the regulator. “The ILD tariffs will surely drop since international bandwidth is an input for ILD, internet and broadband services. It is, however, too early to comment on the magnitude of likely price cuts. The market will decide the extent of ILD rate cuts,” a senior Trai official said. A BSNL official, however, said, “The cut in bandwidth prices will not affect ILD rates. Only the ISPs will be able to offer some cost benefits to their users.” Nasscom president Kiran Karnik said, “We have been pushing for this for a while. This is a good step for the Indian IT and ITES industry.” Internet Service Providers Association of India (ISPAI) president Amitabh Singhal, in fact, the industry was expecting steeper cuts. “Though bandwidth prices have improved, they are still high compared to peer markets. Prices are still 2-5 times more in India compared to these markets. In 2005, with additional capacity coming in coupled with the aggression of the carriers, we expect a 30-40% price drop,” Gartner India principal analyst (telecom) Kobita Desai said.u International bandwidth is the medium of carriage of data and voice services across countries in the world. The main users of international bandwidth in India are ISPs, IT and IT-enabled service enterprises like business process outsourcing (BPO) units and ILD operators. The ceiling tariff for international private leased circuit (IPLC) in respect of speed of 2 mbps (mega bits per second), 45 mbps and 155 mbps have now been fixed at Rs 13 lakh, Rs 1.04 crore and Rs 2.99 crore a year, respectively. These fixed ceiling tariffs translate into a reduction of 35%, 71% and 70% in tariffs from the earlier prices.

gopal, the prices quotes were for unprogrammed sets. The charges for the GSK were seperate. I can say that because i had purchased the 6225 for the price mentioned by me. chirag, this was the rate in the "webworld" near my house, not any other store. mitul, the prices are what i saw at the webworld. I had mentioned it for the benifit of all the forum members since the price drop was considerable. I dont get any pleasure in spreading false roumors over the net.

Since reliance already has a presence in most urban areas, it would be wise to launch some quality handsets like the vx8000 and the treos and blackberrys as somewhere down the line, there is a market for them. Most of us know that many don't opt for relaince due to the poor choice of handsets available. I must also add that at the moment, reliance is not at all taking advantage of the "superior cdma" technology. There is a lot to offer if you look at the servives available in countries like korea.
-
it was the vx8000 i think i saw in the expos in delhi a month back. This phone seems sleeker and is rounded as compared to the 8000. Also, the expansion slot is a good add on. Wouldn't mind buying this phone as the quality of the 8000 looked good compared to the clamshells already available here. It's a pity that (in most cases) reliance launches phones which are already a few years old.

I have a small network at home. Three comps connected throug an 8 port switch and the dsl cat5 wire also goes into one of the ports. All 3 comps have XP loaded on them. They are on the same worgroup. Me and my brothers share multimedia content on them. Now the thing is, when anyone clicks on my comp in workgroups, they dont need to enter a password. For the other to comps, a password is required. For the 1st comp, i put administrator as the login name and leave the password blank and it works. For the 2nd(new pc) the login is stuck as ****/guest and cannot be changed. Even the win logon password doesn't work which he uses on the welcome screen. Even i have a login pass for my windows yet they aren't asked to login. How can i disable the password authentication on both their pcs so that the login window doesnt pop up when i click on their comps under view workgroup comps. Note: all of us have disabled guest account. Please help.

Nokia has announced 3 new cdma handsets to be launched in usa in 2005. Models: 6155i , 3155i , 2155i 6155i is worth looking at. It has a megapixel camera and a 626k colour screen. Lets hope they have plans to launch them here too.
-
2nd Q for 2155i 3rd and 4th Q for 3155i and 6155i respectively, i think. But by the time they launch the 6155i, the technology might already be too old since already, better phones are available worldwide. Same has been the case with 6255. Doesn't seem all that great anymore.

One of my relatives has the 7730. It's nothing great if your life doesn't rely on email. Also, any clue as to when we could see the cdma variant in india.
