When the R-World was made a chargeable service last year, I remember all prepaid customers were put on daily plan and not the monthly membership plan, while all postpaid customers were put on monthly plan. When did they change the default plan to monthly for R-World? Looks like ADA is hell bent on destroying whatever Mukesh had built. As an update here is the snip from Reliance Website: They cannot charge you Rs 25 out of the blue until and unless you have specifically asked to activate the membership.

If only you can get a document from Reliance which stated that off-net WAP access is enabled on 6265, can you approach some court/TRAI. All that we knew when 6155/6265 were launched was that they were WAP enabled and had WAP based R-World. It was not mentioned anywhere that you could browse the net on WAP. So Reliance can always contest and say that WAP worked in the initial days as they were still to put up their firewall and/or configure it. I do not think there is much to be gained, as the service was never commercially launched.

You will not need to dump your PC cards, as you might be getting digital signals from cablewalla, the set-top box will convert the signals to analogue - which is understood by most of the TVs out there. And if didn't do that, most of us would have to change our TVs too. THE STBs will provide an output in the form of Audio/Video out (As in DVD players) as well as RF-Out. However, if you need to watch different channels on different TVs, yo will need to get as many STBs and pay for as many connections. The days of one cable-connection and n-number of TVs are over.

Try online recharge from ICICI Bank, it works for e-recharge. But the minimum amount you can recharge with is Rs 150. There is no option for SMS top-up cards though.

You wont be able to use R-World. As for TATA applications, I guess only way is to try it out. Maybe you will need to change some settings to get access to TATA-Zone.
