Yes. The phone does supports amr format. In fact it comes with a few amr ringtones pre-installed.

Nokia phones have never had R-Surf. However, you are lucky that 6265 at least has WAP, which is in fact much better than the crappy R-Surf. As for phonebook transfer, most of the R-World java applications are custom built for specific phone models, and maybe Reliance programmers havn't had the time for porting the Phonebook application to 6265 - and anyway they are not known for their promptness. Maybe we will have the application for 6265 ready in a few months time. As for phonebook transfer, you could connect your 2030 to a computer through a datacable, use PC Sync to download the phonebook, export it to a CSV file, import the CSV file to MS Outlook, and then synchronize 6265 contacts to MS Outlook. [Off-topic] These days most of the WWs have been turned into "Franchisee" from the earlier "Company Owned Company Operated" stores. As the franchisee gets a percentage of the revenue earned from the WW, they try to maximize the revenue by coupling the Broadband Deals with the handsets. I know a WW where they refused to sell the handset without the BB combo, and my friend had to buy the handset from another local shop (whose loss it is, is anyones guess). In short answer to your query is Yes. Blue Tooth and Data cable both can be used for the three task that you want. Both essentially setup a communication channel between a computer and a mobile. You can buy DKU-2/CA-53 whatever you want, and you can get the made in china cables for as low as Rs 80.

My bad. I should have specified Offtopic in my post. kshah and me were discussing about WAP access from my 6235 and not 6265. But if you too are getting the 403 error, I guess something is misplaced at Reliance end somewhere, maybe we should look at the physical locations from where we are trying to access WAP. I am in Powai, where are you two located roam and schumi? Or maybe it takes time on Reliance servers to update your handset, and it allows you only if you have a 6155 or a 6265. Keep on trying romaj and maybe it will work sometime later.

Can someone connect the 6265 to Diego and post the WAP configurations details here. I would like to compare those settings with the 6155 and 6235 and see what's missing in my 6235 that Reliance denies me the pleasure of WAP

The chip is not placed in the headset, it is in the phone itselt. Its just that the phone utilizes the cord of the headset as an ariel for catching the FM signals. You could bypass carrying a headset, by carrying a 2.5 mm headset jack instead. That would fool the phone to believe a headset is attached - but the recepetion would not be clear.

I guess no one is using Freedom@night for torrents. Hard luck mate, else someone would have already replied. Why don't you connect from your phone at night and try out the performance one night. It might cost you Rs 15/hr but at least you will know the performance first hand. Keep the torrents on for say 1 - 2 hr, and I guess Rs 30 is not too much a price to pay for checking out the service.

I am hoping it would be. ADA has done atleast one good thing - he seems to be migrating to RUIM-enabled phones, and considering that WAP is the way to go. let's wait for a few days, schumi will post the reality in a few days time.

Now I envy 6155... though I hate the clamshell design - have had enough of clamshell in Samsung A-563. [Off-Topic] I installed Opera Mini on my 6235. On testing the network it says "You have a working network connection." However, if I try to browse something it says "There was a network error code: t120". Koi to ADA ko bolo ki agar 6155 or 6265 ko WAP access de sakta hai to 6235 ko kyon nahin? [/Off-topic]

Changed "... I am list bothered..." to "... I am least bothered..." .

6155 is WAP enabled. None of the other handsets are. Though N6255 and N6235 have WAP capabilities, they have been disabled. And even if you mirror the settings of 6155 onto 6235 you will get HTTP Error: 403 Forbidden. I am not sure about LG phones, if they are WAP enabled or not. R-Surf is a Java client for WAP browsing.

N6235 has 160 character SMS. And as far as I know other Nokias too have 160 char SMS. It does have EMS, but the feature is not supported by newtwork
