Restore your system to a previous date, disable Automatic updates, and use "Notify me but dont download or install update" and then whenever windows notifies you, do not choose the WGA update.

Check out the commercial for 6265 being aired in Canada here.

[Off-topic] The settings in N6235 are almost the same with the only differences in: 1. Default Home page 2. Proxy server hostname (primary) 3. User agent profile I tried setting the same as 6155 on my 6235 and got the error message HTTP 403. EDIT: Even setting the user agent profile to 6155.xml doesn't works. I guess they use MDN/MIN authentication to allow access to WAP browser, and have allowed only the MDN/MINs that are setup on N6155 according to Reliance's record. [/off-topic]

Check the size of your avatar, if it exceeds the maximum limit (64*64) specified for RIMWeb, the server automatically resizes it, and in this process it loses the animation. If this is the case, open your gif file in Adobe photoshop or any other editing software, resize to meet the site requirements (64*64 or smaller), and upload once again. This time the animations should work.

RUIM is equivalent of SIM in CDMA. It was available in Reliance with GTran handsets and Telson Watch phone. An RUIM enabled handset gives you the option of changing phones with as much ease as the GSM users do. Most of the Nokia Phones are equipped with a RUIM slot. TATA normally sells its Nokia handsets with RUIM enabled. TATA RUIM is commercially known as T-SIM. Enabling the RUIM slot on your Nokia handset would give you the ease of shifting operators just by replacing the RUIM. I hope that makes things a little clearer for you Abhay.

Visit the nearest Nokia Care center and they would restore the settings for your phone. It might be free if the phone is still in warranty and if you play your cards right - i.e. play dumb. Do not tell them you did the hard reset intentionally, but say the phone was in your pocket and when you took it out for calling you found it was not working. There is no other way we can help you if you have lost your MDN/MIN etc.

Hope all RIMwebians and their families are safe and fine.

Reliance Communication To Enter Gsm Services
Puneet replied to abhay's topic in Reliance Communications
In all probability, RUIM will be the answer. As was reported in news that AA asked Qualcomm to push RUIM enabled handset chips. This would reduce at least one hurdle in the transition. -
Check out the judgement yourself.

Reliance Communication To Enter Gsm Services
Puneet replied to abhay's topic in Reliance Communications
Or it may start with 93 also, you never know. As Reliance is asking for the spectrum under the same license it holds for CDMA - my guess is it would not be allotted new number series. Only the time will tell. -
Reliance Mobile Has The Finest Network Performance In India
Puneet replied to Gaurang's topic in Reliance Communications
I was getting "Network Busy" on my Nokia, howeer, on LG/Samsung the call would just disappear - maybe its a design fault of the handset. As for jamming, I guess we can only make a guess - but when I was standing in the direct site of a Reliance tower (about 50 m as the crow flies), I could get CC in one go and could also contact my wife on RIM who was under the coverage of the same tower at that time. However, I was not able to call up my Mom who was about a kilometer away. But had there been a systematic jam ordered by the security agencies, we would not have been able to make even a single call. I guess it was system overload. -
Share with us too, what is the next big thing?

Reliance Mobile Has The Finest Network Performance In India
Puneet replied to Gaurang's topic in Reliance Communications
Well, I do not blame the cell companies entirely for the fault. It is just that no engineering system is designed for such eventualities the probability of whose occurance is so low. It is similar to what happened on 26/7, no engineer would design the drainage system of any city to withstand 934 mm of rain in a single day when the actual average maxima is around 300 mm. Similarly, no phone company would design its switching network to simultaneously handle calls from each of its phones. However, looking at the trend of recent times, maybe the phone companies should upgrade their switches - but then the big question who will adsorb the cost? -
Reliance Mobile Has The Finest Network Performance In India
Puneet replied to Gaurang's topic in Reliance Communications
I was in Powai, and the mobiles stopped working at about 18:45, and came alive only at about 23:00. I have 3 Reliance Mobiles and a Hutch. And none was better than the other. There were a few incoming calls in between - around 4 (collectively on all phones) but no outgoing. I had called up *333 at around 19:10, got to an executive (my preferred customer status) and was told that whole of Mumbai is facing the network outage and it should be operational in 2 hrs. -
They also said about 7 days to me, however, the connection was installed in 2 days time. Hope you have your connection soon too.

Yes. I am currently using Tata Indicom Braodband. I have 128kbps - with no download limit plan. Its quite good. The download speeds are always in the range of 128-132 kbps. I have never monitored upload speeds but if I remember correctly, they are decent. The downtime is almost negligible. Overall, I am happy with it.

More importantly, there is a an engine upgrade. Splendor has a 98cc Engine while SS has a 125cc engine. Its not only graphics.

Since March 1, 2006. Around the time when "One India" schemes were launched. Check out this thread. Or search for Access Deficit charge on the forums, we have discussed about it a lot.

You can club Freedom@night with DAPO. No issues with that. In this case you have to pay the rental for both (F@N & DAPO). In case you want to go for the Joy149 Plan, the rental will be waived off, as that is the default plan for F@N.

The whole ADC issue is now a non-issue as the ADC basis has now been changed from "per-call basis" to "fixed percentage of AGR".

Why do you want to ask the same question again and again, when you have been told that R-Surf doesn't works in N6255 or for that matter in any of the Nokia phones. There is no need to start a new thread now until and unless you can provide us with some insight into the wap access for Nokia. And before starting a new thread or posting this in one of the other threads, please check your PMs. Also, look at the replies that you might have received in the threads where you originally posted your query. Some of us are working on accessing WAP on Nokia phones, and once we find a way we will announce it in the appropriate forum/thread. Closing Thread

You can not.

Reliance Communication To Enter Gsm Services
Puneet replied to abhay's topic in Reliance Communications
Wait till the time some notification is out, till then its all guesses and opinions. -
Not exactly. Linux and Windows are both OSes which run on the computer hardware. I would say it is similar to converting a PC to a Mac.
