The MMS site works for handsets which have native MMS like N6235, N6255 and LG 6130. It is not enabled for handsets which access MMS through R-World like LG2030, LG 2130, SA-563, SA-603 etc.

Forget browsing, Nokia handsets do not even have the option of R-Surf in R-World. And the inbuilt browser of Nokia phones is disabled by Reliance.

Anil Ambani Crafts New Corporate Identity

Looks to me as if Jai Anmol and Jai Whatever designed the logo -
The CAS which is often reported in newspapers etc, is for wireline services. TRAI might specify MRP for DTH services but that would be differnet from the CAS.

Reliance Bills Online Website Is Having Problem

Not that I know off. -
Any idea on packages/schemes/rate plans?

As far as I know, they only have a license for DTH operations. Am not sure if TATA can share the same infrastructure for TATA Indicom too.

In 6235 it goes from 31-01 to 75-78.

@ Ni****h: Please browse through the link I posted above to know how different is WCDMA from CDMA. If Reliance will upgrade it will to EV-DO and not WCDMA. WCDMA is a upgrade path for GSM, though it shares the name with CDMA. I repeat CDMA in WCDMA stands for "CDMA - the general multiplexing scheme" and not the "CDMA Standard" that Reliance follows.

Thanks a ton. It worked for me too.

I am not able to use tone/music files stored in the gallery as "Custom Tone" for contacts. It only allows the defualt inbuilt tones to be used. Has anyone noticed this earlier? I guess it defeats the purpose of having many mp3 tunes if they cant be used as the custom tones.

@Arun: Thank you. I used the process to transfer my phonebook from A563 to N6235.

Not slow actually. It is an operator initiative. what happened in TN-Chennai was a mandated by the government. The government had vide its notification 842-503/2005-VAS/5 merged the two circles to one. While TN-Chennai is now a single license area, MH-Mumbai are still two distinct license areas. No mobile company can charge roaming rental for TN-Chennai if it holds the license for the combined circle, however, in case of MH-Mumbai though the calls between/to mobile were made local and incoming calls while roaming were made free the circles were still kept distinct. Hence, romaing still remains a VAS, and operators can charge rental for that. What Airtel has done now is what Reliance and BSNL have been practising since the beginning.

Does Reliance Have A License For Limited Mobility Services?
Puneet replied to Bals's topic in Reliance Communications
They are offering the Limited Mobility for the Reliance Hello. You can now take your FWP all around the SDCA, but not outside. That is what limited mobility is all about. And its upto the company to offer the same on the mobile handsets, which it chooses not to -
JJ Mehta has been around for ages I guess. I know quite a few people who have purchased digicams from the shop, and no one has reported any problems that I know off. It is the recommended shop to get new digicams from in IITB. Though, there is no manufacutrer warranty with most of the products, what you will get atmost is a JJ Mehta warranty card.

"W"CDMA is not same as CDMA. W-CDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) is a type of 3G cellular network. W-CDMA is the technology behind the 3G UMTS standard and is allied with the 2G GSM standard. More technically, W-CDMA is a wideband spread-spectrum 3G mobile telecommunication air interface that utilizes code division multiple access (or CDMA the general multiplexing scheme, not to be confused with CDMA the standard). Credit Limit On Reliance Postpaid Subscribers
Puneet replied to bellamkonda's topic in Reliance Communications
All mobile phone companies have credit limit. I had BPL mobile about 3 years ago and had to make intermediate payments quite a few times as my credit limit was set to Rs 2500. Also, I know people who have had their outgoing blocked on the Hutch (Orange) for exceeding the credit limit. Its only a question of how high or low is your credit limit. If it is set to a sufficiently hihg figure that you do not even realize its there, that does not means you dont have a credit limit. And, seriously, there is nothing to feel bad about it, if the company notifies you with sufficient time to make intermediate payments. -
Credit Limit On Reliance Postpaid Subscribers
Puneet replied to bellamkonda's topic in Reliance Communications
Almost all telecom companies have the credit limit for all postpaid subscribers. Its a mechanism to protect them from fraudulent customers who might vanish from the face of earth after taking the phone company for a ride. All new customers have a very low (read default) credit limit, which is enhanced upon your usage and payment patterns. Normally, you get a SMS about paying up some amount when you reach about 75% of your credit limit, and then on 90%. You outgoing would be barred once you cross the credit limit. It is advisable to clear up some amount if you are approaching your credit limit. If you do not want to tolerate this, I would say you switch the service provider, make a heavy use of STD facilty and you will get the same message there too. Last but not the least, please do not post the same thing more then once. I have already deleted your other post -
Why don't you buy one and post the user experience for us

I Lost Reliance Network From My Samsung N191
Puneet replied to jayu's topic in Technical / OS related
You could also do it in the programing mode of the phone, I have done it for my A563 - but then you need the ESN number and all that stuff, I would say you go to ASC and tell them some story, they would do it for you. If its the first time, they might do it for free. I had done the same to my phone about a year and half back, and while searching the net to make it work again I had stumbled on to RIMweb.in
