Blackberry 9000 Gets A Name, Introducing The Blackberry Bold
Puneet replied to @ksh@T's topic in BlackBerry
BB Bold doesn't supports CDMA - it is a pure GSM/WCDMA phone, no chance of it coming on Reliance Mobile CDMA. -
It can be used as RAMBoost only in Windows Vista, not in Windows XP. If a SD Card or a USB drive meets the speed specification to be used as RAM Boos, Vista will give you an option to use it as RAM Booster.

@ @sh@t: Don't tempt me its been almost a year since a warned anyone And if the tag remains at 0% do not worry about it. just take care to not raise it again

And its better to buy Acer products from India rather then getting them from abroad for warranty issues. Aspire One purchased here (in UAE) is not warrantied in India

At the top right of Post (If you have the default theme, look in the red bar with post title) there is a Drop down menu "Options", click on it and then select "switch to standard". That should solve your problem of replies as thread. And I believe we can do wonders with IPB too

Its in the correct category/sub-forum, they are talking about a feature (Group SMS) on Samsung handsets.

Reliance Communications Moves Sc In A Tax Matter !
Puneet replied to Honest's topic in Reliance Communications
Robber is not robbed - it would be the customer who pays in the end as all taxes are recoverable from the end user. If SC doesn't gives a favourbale decision for Reliance expect a slew of VAT demands by all other state governments on telecom companies and an assocaited rise in tax component of all recharge vouchers etc. -
They cannot block funds from your savings bank account till you give them an authorization. No worries on that front. However, as you disputed the transaction and it has been decided in favor of the bank, bank is bound to charge interests and everything on it. You can negotiate with them to waive of the excess charges - you might need to talk to people higher up then a customer care executive at the call centers. If you have been an active user of the card, a threat to discontinue the card will work, but if you are not a regular user, this threat has no effect. You yourself are in doubt about the transaction that goes against your stand and negotiation with the bank. PS: A piece of advice, keep the copy of charge slip till the time the transaction shows in your statement. That way you know if you made the transaction or not.

Where has the old wisdom of confirming such offers from dealer/shop/customer care before taking the final plunge of putting in your moolah lost these days? Anyway, raise a complaint everywhere, and Consumer Forum is you best bet. Take a pic of the webpage today only with today's newspaper - to keep a a record that was advertised at least till today Virgin Mobile is soon gonna take off the page...

Chrome beta cannot be compared to IE8 beta, remember this is beta for the very first version, while IE is beta for the eight version - give Chrome a few months and am sure its going to leave all browsers behind. Its open source - so expect all extensions of FF to be available for Chrome sooner than later. A title bar on top takes away desktop real estate - something that goes against Google design philosophy.

I have used it for 5 minutes now and I am impressed.

Need A Suggestion For Cdma Phone With Best Signal Strength Reception
Puneet replied to Anupe's topic in Handset Suggestions
If Nokia 6265 is not getting any signals I would say it would be the same situation with others. Maybe palm Treo is a little better it would be a disappointment in regular use. Your friend's best bet is a repeater (which he cannot install on his own) or maybe a patch antenna. Reliance had installed a patch antenna at my cousin's place in Khar about 4 years ago. It was a compromise between mobility and network connection, but at least the phone worked. Those were the days of Mukesh, I don't know if Reliance does that any more but you can sure inquire. -
Munna se Shaikh se Sadikk? Kya baat hai!!!

Thanks kshah for the prices. Its retailing at 1899 AED (approx 22500 INR) here I hope the prices will go down a little in a month or two.
-
Thanks Sadik but I guess One will do for now . And I do not trust IBM since it went Lenovo . @Honest: These are the US prices, and do not reflect in the world prices somehow, hopefully Acer updates the prices worldwide soon.

But I love Vista compared to XP I guess I will get the "One" here, experiment with it and then give it to father when I go home for Diwali BTW, is RAM expandable? Like is there a spare slot for putting in extra RAM or changing RAM to higher capacity by removing the installed one? EDIT: Ok got the reply in detailed specifications, has onboard 512 MB and one soDIMM slot which support 1GB.
-
You don't know my father he is just amazed by new technology And these days he wants a laptop desperately though he has a functional desktop And in case he doesn't likes the small lappy I will give him my old Compaq and keep the "One" for self BTW, have you tried running Vista on One? Or do you intend to experiment? With 1GB of RAM it should work fine if you just disable the Aero theme.

Thanks Kamal, Asit and Dhiraj. And thanks for the short review. @Dhiraj: How do you find the webcam quality for video chatting? Its available for AED 1899 here in UAE which is almost same, I was thinking of buying one for my father and if I do not get international warranty from here I would buy it from India itself.

NO. N95/N96 or for that matter all N-Series phones are GSM/WCDMA phones and cannot be used on Reliance CDMA network.
-
Just a small query when was the original phone bought?

Please note this is not developed by GMail. It is developed by an independent developer Bjarke Viksoe (http://www.viksoe.dk/code/gmail.htm). The application is neither supported nor introduced by Google. @Vikas: Thought the application is good, please do not pass it on as something developed by Google itself. The statement "Gmail has introduced a new virtual drive" gives an impression that the application is supported by Google which definitely is not the case. I am editing your post to remove this statement.

Apart from the very good interface there is nothing where an iPhone can beat N96 - or for that matter even N96 which is year and half old phone. @tejiboy: Are you the samjack of n95users.com? I see the same post on both the forums - looks like a cut and paste.

Reliance Mobile Internet Data Plan Introduced Wef 7th Dec 2008
Puneet replied to @mitJ@in's topic in Data services
But the requirement of "Signed apps" can easily be bypassed. There are hacks available for S60 which open up your phone to endless possibilities.
