@abhishek1711: Let us look at the past few posts of yours, which I think earned you a warning from ashoksoft. 1. You post about your need to buy Rs 55 SMS topup card and a postpaid connection with free STD in 2 threads - a) Buy and Sell and b ) Unlimited Onnet pack closed in postpaid. While the post was justified in a) it was not in b ). The second thread discusses about Reliance's desicion to close the onnet pack and its impact on subscribers. Though there is information about a black market dealer in Kalyan, but that too is relevent only to onnet pack and not SMS topup card or free std FWP. 2. You post about selling your Reliance handsets in 3 threads a) Buy/Sell Department, b ) Unlimited onnet pack closed in postpaid, and c) Free National STD: Tata Indicom. Again, the post was justified in a) but not in b ) and c). The above three threads, discuss three different things and I do not see the need to merge the threads, just because you choose to post about your requirements to buy and sell in all the three threads. We, as Moderators, might require a crash course in ... (please fill in the blank with what you intended to say) but this is the way we have been keeping things organized at RIMweb.in.

One India / One Nation / One Rupee Plans by various operators
Puneet replied to kcvvenkit's topic in The Lounge
:'( That is how the telecom companies in India work, be it Reliance, Airtel, Tata or Idea. I guess the best thing to do is to go with the company which offers the best tariffs for your call pattern. -

What is the basis for Rs 4000/-? Could you please tell us the initial amount that you paid to Reliance? And as far as I know, you are not required to pay any charges if you migrate to some other postpaid plan of Reliance. I have frnds who have migrated to other plans, and they were not asked to pay any exit charges (only condition being the club membership charges/finance charges continue to be levied).

I have heard from unconfirmed sources that Palm Treos are undergoing trials at Reliance for the past few months. I guess Reliance is waiting for its stock of 7135 to get over before it launches Palm Treos.
-
A friend's freind got a working Reliance 6265 for soemthing like 9500 bucks. he is from Indore. Though I do not know from where he got it, I guess it is some test piece that Nokia gave to Reliance for testing purposes. Also, I hear that some Palm Treos are also undergoing trials for the past few months on Reliance networks.

Std / Isd Call Rates to Fall further as TRAI slashes ADC !
Puneet replied to Arun's topic in The Lounge
Yes. They might. In fact this opens up the mobile sector for unlimied STD too, which was not possible in the previous ADC regime. Let us see what and how much the service providers offer to the customers. -
One India / One Nation / One Rupee Plans by various operators
Puneet replied to kcvvenkit's topic in The Lounge
Earnings of PCO owners might take a beating as OneIndia is not available to them. However, the article is flawed as it is based on the premise that henceforth BSNL will be offering a single tariff plan. But that is not the case, as OneIndia is being introduced as an alternative tariff plan, and a subscriber with low outgoings will always have an option to go for low rental high calling charges scheme. Telephone is bound to remain atleast as affordable as it is today for low/mid-range customers, the scheme is only going to make it more affordable to people with higher call outgo. PS: Hey SexyGurl, Welcome to MumBhai. -
Reliance does not supports fax over its wireless network as of now.

Consider yourself lucky that you are geting 300 bucks!!! What more do you expect, when a new handset costs just Rs 1800.

I strongly condemn the desire to purchase the Master's Research project. Masters in Engineering is all about the research and the desire to pay someone else to do it for you, and then take the credit for it is not permitted ethically in any scientific research. You are lucky that I do not moderate this sub-forum.

Agreed nokiaind.com is registered wiht some US partner of ICICI but that doesn't gives them a right to setup unsecured html forms for collecting credit card information on the internet, which could be used fraudently. Agreed its a genuine dealer, but it does not gives him a right to design his site as a rip-off from official Nokia web-site. It doesn't helps his cause if he names his site as nokiaind.com and for all links refers them to US site of Nokia. You will have to agree that the web-site was a rip-off, and very much resembles the phishing websites about which banks (including ICICI) regulerly warn their online customers. I would trust the guy if and only if he designes his website independently from official Nokia web-site. He could include links to Nokia if he wants. More importantly, if the payment gateway is setup on a secure connection with a reputed bank with a traceable security certificate. You might have got good deals from him, and will get it in future too, but I would not do business with him until and unless his site implements the basic necessities of a secure online financial transaction. I do not care if I loose out on good deals in the bargain, but till that time Thank You.

Got Email From Cutomercare@relianceinfo.com With Virus
Puneet replied to rakesh5295's topic in The Lounge
DO not worry Rakesh, Relianceinfo didn't send you a virus. it must be an infected computer of the friend of yours somewhere, who is also a Reliance customer and has received mails from both of you. To see the headers, you have to enable complete headers in the options of most of the free-email services (Hotmail, Yahoo). In case of G-Mail you get a link just near the short headers (which are from, to, subject and date) to see the fulll headers. Inc ase you use Outlook/Outlook express you can see the headers in the properties of the email message. To check the originating IP, just follow the trail of "received by server 1 from server 2" from top to bottom. -
Got Email From Cutomercare@relianceinfo.com With Virus
Puneet replied to rakesh5295's topic in The Lounge
Its a new virus. I also received a few mails yesterday with the same extension from variety of sources (and to top it one of themials was supposedly sent by me and bouced back by a virus checker). Its Win32/VB.NEI worm. The first mail I received was from adlabsmultiplex.com, and I presume they have my email address on their computers as most of the itmes I purchase my movie tickets online. Most of the worms look for email addresses on infected computers and use one as a "From" address and "one as "To" address. What this means is someone who had your email address as well as customercare@reliance in his address book/inbox/mails etc etc got his computer infected, and the worm sent the mail to you. If you still have the mail saved with you, you could look at the headers and find out the source of the email. -
You joined RIMweb.in today, and the first post that you make is about the trustworthiness of the nokiaind.com. And moreover, you do not stop at that you spam the forums with 4 copies of the same message. Do I smell something fishy? This will not help your cause, if you are a genuine dealer, better get a secure online payment gateway, and design you site differnetly then the original Nokia website.

1. Yes. 2. Cable - DKU5 (or maybe CA42). Discussions about software and how to flash your mobile are discouraged on this forum, as they are possible means for illegal activity. You can search the net you will find enough ways to do that but not on RIMweb.in 3. By selling your Nokia 2112 and purchasing a new 2100. That's the only way to convert, no other technical methods exist. 4. Yes. You will need service parameters of Reliance, but we will not provide that. Closing topic for further discussions.

Are you talking about FLP or FWP? If its FWP, then we are already discussing about it here and here. And the plan is available to existing customers by paying a one-time charge of Rs 1999. (Source: Media Release). PS: I brought in FWP because of the phone model mentioned by you. In case, LG LSP 400 is a FLP model than my apologies

As Ashok says, the cable is made out of the Motorola handsfree, its a custom cable and is to be made by you.
-
And hopefully you did not fill out any of the credit card details :-) In case you have keep a tab on your credit card statement for any unknown transactions.
-
Well there was no need to check the domain info, a careful look at the website shows its fake. Moreover, its a phishing site for your credit card information as well as mobile number/ESN pair. There is a payment part, which is supposedly powered by secure ICICI Bank gateway, however, the page is not secure :-), I hope you were not tricked into it. Is there a way to report phishing sites to the parent companies? I would love to report this to Nokia as well as ICICI Bank.
-
. It actually works in the area complete area served by the BTS to which your FWP is assigned. And in some cases it is assigned to more than one tower. 150 meters is what Reliance says as it is supposed to fix the FWP within the premises of the subsriber.

Even if there is a conflict, there is no reason why there should be a problem in uninstalling them. And formating jsut for removing the softwares? I think there is some other problem with your PC.

Okay. Got to see Vishal's reply after I posted.
