I can provide you with some GMail invites if you want, this offer had been irressitable had it been made last year when gmail invites were in short supply. These days everyone either has a Gmail account or an invite to spare. And please post at only a single place, do not repeat the same post in differnet sub-forums. PS: I have already filled in your survey.

Visit the nearest Samsung Service Center and they will be able to help you out. In all probability, you have cleared the EEPROM of the handset and the service parameters need to be refed now
-
Not working for me yet says: "You are not subscribed to receive MMS services through the Portal."

Depends on the state you are in. Anyway, you have not been paying tax seperately on handsets, they are almost always priced with tax included, so it wont matter a lot to you how does the dealer/vendor pays tax VAT or otherwise
-
As far as I know VAT will be applicable on goods and not on services. And telecom operations are considered a service and attract service tax. So we will continue to pay what we have been paying right now.

N191 is the old warhorse if you can lay hands on it somewhere. Though my favourite is SCH-A563 (which sadly is not available anymore ) I have not tested the speeds with SCH-A603 (RCP) but it should also give the same speeds, maybe someone else might enlighten us
-
From what is discussed on these forums, any Samsung handset would give you better speed as compared to a LG handset. That was my 2 cents
-
Not that we know of Otherwise it would have been a pleasure to shar eit over here. 1st SMTP and/or any other SMTP server is the only known way of send MMS through emails.
-
Sending mails from Yahoo doesn't works always. you can use 1st SMTp or any other SMTP server available to you following the instructions here: http://www.rimweb.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2030 http://www.rimweb.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2031

Reliance is not selling Blank sets of Nokia but sets which are Reliance Ready - which means the ESN of these handsets is registered with Reliance. When you use a HCC or a GSK a MIN is alloted to the mobile and is associated with the ESN. When you dial *228 after setting MIN to 0s, the lady recognizes your ESN and says it has already been programmed, and when you set the ESN to 0s the Reliance servers obviously fail to recognize your set and do not activate it. In simple words its not that easy to erase everything from handset and re-activate it.

Default- No. Depends on the scheme. If its on installment, its insured if its outright payment its not.

Trai Says Fixed Wll Phones Must Be Confined
Puneet replied to Arun's topic in Reliance Communications
No one is trying to restrict technology here, in fact India India already has technology neutral Unified License. Its just the application of technology within the license conditions. No one has stopped companies to offer mobility on "Mobile" connections where they do pay the required ADCs - I am not justifying the ADC here. But Fixed wireless phone is regarded as a basic landline conection and attracts the same rentals and/or ADC - which makes a subsidized service at the cost of the "mobile" users, and if some company starts *mis*using this subsidy to provide mobile connections, well its TRAI's prerogative to enforce the license. And moreover, its the technology neutral concept which has made the Fixed wireless service possible - where wireless is used as a last mile connectivity thus bringing down the cost of the connection significantly. Using your analogy, its not like a petrol and a diesel car, its more like a LPG driven car which can use LPG available at filling stations (LPG sold at market rate) but cannot use the domestic LPG cyclinders (highly subsidzed). -
Has IIT-K moved onto IPv6 or what? That's surely a long way since the good old days of daisy ring hubbed network, where sniffing and spoofing was so damn easy .

Ever bought a HDD? For HDD manufacturers 1GB = 1000000000 B and not even 1000MB, you should thank someone somewhere that atleast Reliance considers 1GB=1000MB 24718 Seagate is the only HDD manufacturer who thinks 1 GB is = 1000 MB. All the other HDD's come in proper 1024 capacities. 26984 I have a Seagate, a Samsung, an IBM and a Maxtor HDD on my comp and all seem to follow 1GB=1000MB to me. If they have changed the classifications ince I purchased these HDDs then that would be my ignorance :-)
