Has anyone used and/or configured a Wireless Access Point(WAP) with a MTNL DSL Modem (TriBand)? One of my professor has a MTNL TriBand connection and would now like to add a wireless network to that, and the vendors here have never configured WAP with MTNL. So she asked my advice, and I come back to RIMweb . Basically, I need to know if a WAP can be configured easily with Triband or not. PS: I guess its going to be difficult to stay away from RIMweb.in.

Hi! A good news: I have got a job offer from a research oriented company based in UAE, and would be joining the job in the first week of June. And as every good thing comes at a price, this leaves me with very less time to wrap things up in IIT. The tight schedule that I will have to follow for the next three months would not leave me with much spare time to do anything else. And now the bad news: I am forced to take a hiatus from RIMweb.in (all my other internet activites included) for the greater good of my career. Am sure I will miss RIMweb.in, but then one has to move on when the time comes. RIMweb.in has been a great experience in my internet life (and that makes a major part of life in the llast decade). I loved it here, and would long to be back. I hope I will be able to come back to a fledging RIMweb.in community once the time rush has settled.

Thanks again!!! Its official now, I have to join on August 1, 2007. And that gives me a relief of about 2 months. I hope I'll be back on RIMweb.in, alive and kicking, by mid-March.

USB Card (EC325) has been available for months now, though it always has been in short supply. Its also available all over India. The line "Available only in Tamilnadu" is for the prepaid NetConnect cards.

It might have TBs in optic fibre network, but it only has 5 MHz of spectrum.

Since the forum upgrade am facing a peculiar problem - I am logged out from the system now and then, and have to repeateadly enter the login information. A moment am browsing a topic, and if I click on some other topic it will sen me to the login page. Sometimes just click on View new posts from a topic will throw the login page. I believe this is due to some IP based restrictions in the new software - as in one person can be logged in from only one IP at a time, and as we have a few leased lines, and the http requests are routed through one of the many based load balancing, the new forum software logs me out the moment it gets a differnt IP then the one I logged in with. This was not occuring in the previous version. Could you please check it out. I composed this post, pressed on the Add Reply button and was again presented with the login screen . Luckily I had copied the post

Depends on the export/import filters you use. I had a few names with 2 to 3 numbers , but they were imported under the headings of Home/Office/Mobile in Outlook. Maybe the export filters you are using are making more then one entry per contact. I have never used LG Sync, so cant help you with that.

As I said earlier, there is no reason that it should not work. Though youmight need to search the exact key for changing the value. Try it out and let us know too.
