Friend...TATA was never serious with CDMA technology..they are struggling with 1x coverage, how can they provide better service for EVDO reliace is always the right choice.

Your information must be right. Because today i have seen download speed of 80kbps and showing Hybrid on netconnect software. Which is first time in my place (udupi,karnataka) do you get hsd coverage in udupi or any other area near by?

Yes, in some area you might get poor voice quality due more no of users, but with increase in towers and repeater the voice quality can be improved..and it depends on handset as well. It hard to beat CDMA as every one is aware of spectrum chrunch and we are enjoying 3g evdo due the efficient CDMA. Sorry GSM guys cant enjoy their 3g part.

i beg to differ, GSM voice quality can never be as good as CDMA...For voice clarity , coverage, and data CDMA is the best. In western country GSM 3g is not as successful as the CDMA in US lest we forget all 3g technology is based on CDMA

Thanks buddy, but I am bit skeptic to try it..as the cc people say that it solely designed for 1x and not for EVDO..but in US such compression by venturi wireless is used for EVDO (operator ) verizon wireless.

Friend i didnt mean to hurt anybody..but some review are really twisted dont you think so i was only trying to point out such fact. MOst of us are unbaised towards operators but few are not

Friends, using Docomo for more than 2 weeks,,and should admit the network is very bad. i don't understand how people can give good review about docomo network. People have criticized Rcom for their initial GSM launch but mind you their coverage was far better than Docomo. They are further strengthening their network. Tata is very slow in rolling out network, even their age old CDMA doesnt have a good netwrok. I think TATA is taking advantage of this forum to advertise their product.

Guys in pune the network is pachy..city is covered well but the network fades away most of the time in between lonavala and chichwad there is no network at all. Reliance CDMA has the best coverage overall

after reading the thread, couldn't resist my self...bought docomo sim today..but no network''cc told that no is not activated,...waiting to experience the difference. will keep you posted about network in mumbai.

Hello there, you are one among the unlucky who stay in relaince weak area,,,every operator has a patch where their network is weak..otherwise as far i have observed the reliance network is far good in small villages than any other operator.

I don't mind going for Broadband, but the plans available are pathetic. The 850 Rs 3GB Plan( Which after exchange discount will become 600) looked lucrative; the problem is 3 GB is calculated on Pro-Rata basis. That means anything over 100 MB a day will be charged at 2Rs/MB. [ I read it somewhere not sure though] My usage is variable, I do not use the net on weekdays but spends my 40 Hrs(Swift 40 Plan) on the weekends. Hence decided to continue with 1X Same here i use my hrs at weekens...the tariff on broadband is too high.. rcom thinks that they are providing something great so they are charging premium... i prefer to stay with netconnect. As far as blank data card is concerned the webworld guys just fool the customer just to sell new connections so that they can achieve their target.

even thought airtl and vodafone are on Nokia-Siemens network or Ericsion network their vooice clarity is not good as RGSM... its doesnt matter who the vendor is...now a day Nokia-Siemens network or Ericsion network are lacking in innovation...they are selling the outdated 2.5 equipment to airtel and vodafone at cheaper cost

it for sure...when we are using reliance network we hate them...but as soon as we try to switch to other operators we realize that reliance is the best in many terms. as far i know...reliance coverage and service is best among other operators..some may face issue but thats expected.
