gsm radation is harmful than cdma..notice when the gsm phone are near to compter or landlind or tv it distrubs the whole thing....and moreover in cdma its radiates only when you are taking and not when you are listening ....its a kown fact ....and thats the only reason why european hurried into wcdma for voice and data.

as far as i know cdma emits 10 times less radiation compared to GSM

samsung modem are the best in class thats why..

@ashish you are right my friend,,EDGE can not be faster than cdma 1x and it has been proved in United states....some people claim that EDGE is faster...may be in some area...coz sunil mittal are corned a chunk of spectrum from our foolish government and he is making the most of it..and cdma is not performing at its best in india due to spectrum contraint...but fact remains the same that still in india cdma performs better than EGPRS..

gsm was never know for data speeds that the reason they are using WCDMA as their 3g future...and all those pro gsm guys rant about good data speed on gsm....even in united states, the cdma 1x beats EDGE handsdown..in US all the networks perform at their best...still the edge cant beat cdma 1x..this is the only reason why apple was in hurry to launch the new 3g iphone..coz of bad browsing experience by end users..and people other than iphone fans were enjoying EVDO

reliance is best compared to others....i have a first hand experience with other service providers such as airtel and vodafone.

hi all Egprs fans......you people are taking about 247 kbps is a max burst.. your modem is connected to the computer with 247 kbps and its not the actual through put you get in real world conditions and let me remindyou my dear friend we in rimweb are not tecnology bais we respect every technology that is good for human being and its our effort to find the best technology available for people ,,we would appreciate if members dont spread rumours like combing two dirfferent tech to get max speed and last but not the least we dont represent any service provider here in rimweb..

If you really get 20 kbyte/sec while downloading, then your EDGE is perfectly working at 200kbits/sec and this is normal (and good) speed in major cities. Rural areas do not have EDGE but still you get around 100 Kbits/sec which is equal to Reliance CDMA. The ease of using Internet in PC via GPRS depends on which model of Handset you are using. Symbian and Windows mobiles are best in using GPRS Internet on pc. Its better you visit Reliance Gallery at least once for basic information on connecting pc to Phone for GPRS/CDMA internet. Anyways its not too hard. But hey beware of next generation kids >>>> my 10 year old kid could install ActiveSync 4.5 for XP and then connected my Window mobile to his own seperate pc and download camera images without anyones help. i own a Reliance no., but since 3 months i am facing network problem. whenever someone tries to call me, often they hear the message "phone not reachable". i complained regarding the issiue many a times with customer care, but in vain.. they say that my complaint is transfered to national network team... but i think the team is not doing anything at all as my complaint as on 1st march is still pending... i guess all across the nation Reliance users are facing such an issue... please let me know

i mean for pc only .....and as far as firefox is concerned, its a very good browser for linux ..but for windows opera is the best

i think it may be network problem..bcoz with increase in no. of subscribers the voice quality decreases may be an expert can throw better light on this issue

hi there.. i guess you have negative balance in your acccount for data usage..if you check with cc guys they will let you know...and please tell them that you dont owe anything to them as all your data usage has been deducted on daily basis..please insist on it ..if all this fails talk to the supervisor ..and still not solved... write to servive assurance cell of reliance

everyday people are facing problem..ringt from call drop to congestion...at present gsm guys are the happiest lot..i dont thing reliance is too serious about cdma network..more over they dont take customer complain seriously...thats really bad on their part

hi there ..can any body tell whether mg880 usb modem by zte is EVDO enabled coz the usb modem provided by BSNL is the same as mg880..and BSNL is providing EVDO broadband through such usb modem

i dont know whether mg478 is RUIM enabled, so the you can convert it into RUIM..at present no body is selling evdo usb modem other than bsnl..rather you should go for evdo ready handset like moto..may be in near future realiance may come up with evdo ready modems for more details on BSNL's EVDO modem visit the site: bsnldatacard.com

that bad news man..coz we are spending too much money on reliance...bsnl is giving a evdo modem for rs 3500 and reliance is not even bothered about evdo. Bsnl gives unlimited download for 550 per month
