  1. Bomb Blasts In Mumbai

All politicians have "condemned" the attack.. What else!!They finished their duty.. I dont think any terrorist is going to repent for condemnation??..The govt has a very good plan.. Each time a blast happens and few innocent lifes are lost.. they just condemn.. After a series of atacks they expect the terrorists to get bored and think it is a wasted effort.. Am not joking with politicos like Diggy singh and co making senseless statements nothing can be ruled out..

  5. International Travel - SIM Cards, Data Charges, Etc

Matrix is the best option if you want to have mobile connectivity in most of the countries.. For Data also they have Matrix business services for US and europe and the cost was $30 for a limited Data Plan for your mobile deivice. Now it must have come down..corporate users have highly discounted rates. One more affordable option for outgoing calls from international locations is by using Skype Credit. gives you the flexibility of cheap local calls in the roaming countries and really affordable international calls from the roaming country. plus sms too at cheap rates. it doesnt give you the comfort of a real time response but still its an affordable option. Few countries like Singapore and some APAC countries has very cheap India calling cards, and getting a SIM is also easy, average INR 300 for SIM card and for a SGD 8 recharge you get close to 2 hrs Talk time to liandlines and approx 1 hr talk time to mobiles..

  9. Scammed by Hotel Life Ludhiana

Hi Rohit, Are you sure the money has been deducted to the Hotel itself. Go to phone banking and check with the CC exec about the merchant name to which the money has been credited. Personaly I dont think a reputed hotel will try to plan a scam like this. So first verify the merchant name. If it is to the hotel itself then you have all the legal rights to file a case against them. Again another possibility,The merchant name is correct but somebody else has made you pay for their stay at the hotel by duping you, if that is the case its lil difficult to get the charges reversed and you need to be in the mercy of the Credit card company. Check the merchant account code also, even if the name of the merchant is same as there are possibilities of similarities in the name of hotels. Verify the caller details (delhi caller) and see from where the call originated. Not that easy but just try. All the best.

  11. Micromax Modu T 3G Hsdpa 3.6 Mbps With 5Mp Camera

Why are you silent on the Network point? I found this few days back on ebay but it appeared costly to me vis-a-vis its features. The model being sold in ebay.in is 3SIM (GSM/GSM/CDMA). Are you referring to the same model? ebay page showing Modu T As per the Micromax Website the Network is only for GSM Band Tri-band GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900 MHz WCDMA UMTS 900/2100 MHz HSDPA 3.6 Mbps, GPRS/EGPRS Not a Dual Sim phone and not a CDMA phone too.. Price tag is not a realistic
  12. The Commonwealth Games Mess

One thing is for sure, This time India will be number one in the medal tally. No doubt about that. All the leading athletes and sport person from the rest of the countries have either pulled out or planning to do so. So effectively we dont have any competitors and we are sure to be No.1. Again our Sports Minister and our Kalmadi saab will start claiming to be behind all these success & "Being the pride of the Country" and announce cash awards so that the tax payers money is again looted. All these mess will be forgotten by us or some other big controversy will be cooked up with the help of media by the time.. One more enquiry by CBI and a commisson, then Supreme court verdict will be available by "2110". Biggest scam is the forming of commission and being a member of any commission is the best available job in India. All expenses paid trip and benefits from tax payers money..

  14. Hi Sadik, I am using Vtiger which is an open source CRM product and found the same to be useful for Lead generation, Tracking leads, Lead Source assignment, Tracking the Marketing campaigns, Lead-Suspect to qualified prospect conversion, Assigning leads to sales engineers, tracking progress of the leads till closure, (Win or Loss & other stages) assign the revenue projections, Sales projections and the reports are also good. I haven’t fully explored the Inventory, Sales & Support module as the primary expectation of the CRM selection was to first stream line the Marketing and sales process and to automate the process involved in the same. Currently I am in the process of customizing the inventory and trouble ticket module and the process I would say is very smooth in Vtiger. I had seen atleast 5 product demo’s and evaluated little other software before going with Vtiger. PLUS points [*]Most of the features in Marketing, Lead generation and sales can be straight away used as the solutions offered out of the box was a perfect match for my requirements and I feel this to be same for other product / companies as I have deployed the same in two category of products (High Value low volume sales & Low value High volume sales) Customization is very easy on this product as I hired an expert in PHP and he was able to qucikly do some tweaking for the sales and marketing modules to change the workflow and get the desired menus and UI / Data cards. The product is free for download and use but if you go to VTIGER guys and ask for any support they charge a huge amount for customization. I preferred to take one PHP guy and the customization was not a problem. Basically the source code for Vtiger is said to be same of Sugar CRM and these guys have repackaged it in a different way. This is what the blog says and even I feel so after using both products. 1. I would recommend you to first list down the requirements and then try to simulate the same in excel. This is very important and for a small & medium business it will help you to be clear about the requirements. 2. Be specific on your processes (Work flow) which you feel is the optimal process suiting your business needs. 3. Identify the areas of automation of the processes. For this before jumping into any conclusion of the CRM package you should be having a list of pain areas in your current processes 4. The basic problem what i feel in selecting the right CRM is that most of teh CRM companies offers modules which you may feel will satisfy your requirements and will try to convince that the process of automation what is available in their product is the best solution in the world. 5. The sales guys will try to sell "What they have" and make you forget "What you want" 6. Changing the CRM package half way thru your business is not advisable as the legacy data available in most of the existing CRM's are not fully migrate able to a different CRM. 7. Open source CRM's are a good option but it is important to select the best one which is really a tough job. 8. Also you need to see if you need a hosted solution over the cloud or app loaded in your office. Nowadays advance features and internet allows you to login to your system even if it is loaded in your home / office server. 9. Features like mobile integration are also common in most of the CRM’s and there are lot of fancy items which you should not be excited when the sales guys say as most of these are common in new gen CRM’s 10. Try to load the CRM package you selected and have a test data run for atleast a two week period, see if it is really working for you before you fully implement and make it product level. 11. Dont allow too many compromises. 12. Also look at a scalable option which can accommodate your future business needs. 13. Few of the packages offers upto five user licenses free and then they charge you for more users but it is still a good option if you are looking for a startup with less users 14. Identify the key players / users of the CRM and educate them about the product and the process flow. 15. Right implementation of the selected software across the organization is the key factor once you select the CRM 16. Until the system is stable there should be a close monitoring of the implementation and feedback sessions and you should dedicate a responsible person for the CRM PROJECT. Last thing is that you should be clear that implementing a CRM is not going to do any wonders if you are not clear about the right processes good for your organizational needs and CRM software doesn’t have any inbuilt intelligence to correct the mistakes in the processes. All the best!! I know it was a lengthy post but based on my experience..Hope i dint confuse you much... Happy CRM Hunting..

  17. Grapes-Cdma+Gsm-Qwerty Keypad Phone

@ Parin, I have already burnt by fingers in my last experience with Coolpad & Spice which is again a chinky phone. I was just sharing a news and I will never be a promoter of low end chinese phones..Coolpad & Spice CDMA was a disaster and I add them in the same league above.Till date I have only got good experience with Nokia phones (CDMA or GSM). planning to buy a BB or Palm which I feel is better among the lot after reading the reviews here.
  18. Grapes-Cdma+Gsm-Qwerty Keypad Phone

Infact you will be amazed to see the number of brands being launched in the dual sim segment. All are chinese phones with some crazy names. even reliance also endorses a chinese brand Coolpad, one of the worst phones ever released in CDMA. By seeing the price it all targets the entry level Mobile users. Few of them seems to be good like Karbon, Micromax, Max, etc.
  19. New Scam Please Read!

  20. India 3G Auctions Winners

Who is the real winner?? Government and the babus!!! Just open some airwaves frequency and ask all the Telcos to pay money to use "something in air" and provide service to subscribers...Nothing else even the infrastructure to provide these services are also to be built by Telcos.. So increase in license cost only ensures that Telcos squeeze all these license money from subscribers to ensure profits.. God knows when these guys will break even.. Now there will be a second round of auction soon for new players like videocon, Etisalat etc..Again more money to Government..Our babus know how to take a major part of these sum by "Formulating Policies". Good going Raja Sir..
  21. Different Abbreviations !

Dear Arun, Does that mean CDMA users are already getting 3G speeds as some Corby and BB sets in this forum has already confirmed the usage of 1X EVDO. Also which one is better, 3G GSM OR 3G CDMA? I am already a user of Reliance Netconnect Broadband +, Is that the speed you will get if we have 1X EVDO activated in CDMA handsets. Regards Jithesh
  22. Palm Stops Production Of Cdma Pre And Pre Plus

Muffadal ji, Its rumored that PALM is up for sale and has started receiving bids. Latest news is that HTC and LENOVO are the front runners in buying Palm and acquiring the technology as well as the proprietary Web OS. More news will be out soon. One thing is sure they are in deep financial trouble as the new releases havent saved them from competition from Blackberry and Apple. Android is also the arranging nails to fix the coffin for Palm. A good smart phone but poor marketing..We may see an HTC pre or HTC pixi soon.. HTC will be more interested as Palm I heard is the patent holder for touch screen technology (which was co developed by Apple-not sure) and HTC and Apple are not in the best of relationships. Source http://www.gsmarena.com/palm_is_up_for_sale_htc_and_lenovo_showing_interest-news-1567.php Other more info just google.. Regards Jithesh

Hi Rocky, Thnks for the post regarding activation of RWorld in Samsung 2ON. I had purchased this piece yesterday and was trying to find a way for installing RWorld. Reliance CC had given me a clear "Never possible in Samsung 2ON" answer and then I checked Rim web. I have installed the application. But its not connecting to the RWorld. It always says "error connecting" or Request Timed Out. Please try later" Are you experiencing the same or able to connect properly.. One more thing did you get any solution for opening the browser in this model. Will it support any external browser like Opera Regards Jithesh
