Riding the wave of success of its voice and data communication services, Reliance Infocomm launched an "Unlimited Free Calling plan with Reliance FWP" for the first time in the country. This will allow making unlimited Free calls to Reliance phones "Anywhere in India". This is available with both Postpaid and Prepaid FWP options.
Reliance's revolutionary unlimited Free calling plan comes with a monthly commitment of Rs.700 for postpaid customers or with a Recharge Voucher (RCV) of Rs770 for prepaid customers. With these plans the closed user group concept acquires a new dimension among Reliance Infocomm's nine-million-plus subscribers since all of them are now effectively on CUG with this plan. Even the family and friends plan becomes redundant among them.
"This unique value proposition will give freedom to talk for Reliance FWP subscribers. For them the entire Reliance community becomes friends and family or closed user group," said Inder Bajaj, Head - Post Paid Business at Reliance Infocomm.
The Rs 770 RCV for prepaid FWP or Plan 700 for postpaid FWP offers unlimited calls to any Reliance phone across the country. Both these options carry talk time value of Rs 165 for making calls to non-Reliance phones with an attractive flat unit rate of Rs 1.10, with different pulse rates depending on the network and distance bands.
Along with these plans, Reliance has introduced a new state of art, sleek and compact cordless FWP from LG (LSI 110). The cordless wonder, weighs just 126 gms and doubles up as a modem to give high-speed Internet connection with download speeds of up to 144 kbps. Its other features include: SMS, Phone Book, Voice Mail, Polyphonic Ring Tones, Call history, Call conferencing, digital display with backlight. The product is available off-the-shelf at telecom retail outlets, apart from Reliance WebWorld and WebWorld Express stores.
Announcing the launch of the Prepaid FWP product, S P Shukla, President - Wireless Products and Services at Reliance Infocomm said: "This is for the first time in India that a subscriber gets the benefit of unlimited talk time to anywhere on a prepaid product on Fixed phones. With this unbeatable product, we have been able to shrink distances and eliminate time-linked tariff structure."
The entry cost of the new cordless FWP is fixed at Rs 4,300, inclusive of installation charges of Rs 800. The prepaid FWP comes with a preloaded talk time of Rs 50.
Providing additional choice to its customers, Reliance Infocomm has also introduced Plan with monthly commitment of Rs.435 for postpaid FWP customers and an RCV of Rs 480 for Prepaid FWP customers with similar facility of making unlimited Reliance-to-Reliance calls in certain select circles to suit the needs of those who do not have to make calls across the country, and yet have to stay connected within the circle and with the neighbouring circles. These plans give a bundled free usage worth Rs. 100 with a unit charge of Rs. 1.10 per pulse for calls made to other phones.
In yet another initiative for the post-paid subscribers, the company has launched an On-Net Pack with monthly rentals of Rs 100 for Plan-290 and Rs 50 for other tariff Plans. With this, subscribers can make "Unlimited Free calls" to Reliance phones within the circle and the subscription to the pack can be done by dialing *333 or by visiting the WebWorld or WebWorld Express stores.
