Guys, I received a letter from Reliance.com that mentioned.... " It has been reported to us that the Reliance Phone No. 0xxxxxxxxx was used for accessing Internet, using Reliance R-connect data service and some information of a Copyright Product owned by a company was downloaded from a Network Community on Sep xx,2005 at 05:15hrs IST that leads to Copyright Infringement" We would request you to take this into notice and request you to kindly ensure that such incidents are not repeated in the future. In case there is repeated misuse of the Rconnect service, we might be constrained to discontinue the Reliance service. Anyone else received these type of letters....and what the hell is this?

Guys, anyone try to connect any ftp server through Reliance connection because from last 15 days i am not able to connect any ftp server from Reliance. But properly connecting from another ISP (BSNL) at the same computer. So, i think there is no problem at my end. I have complained several times in customer care but they dont know what the hack is this.....

I terminate my FWP connection which have Rs1500/- data plan. But when i called on that number...i received a message that no. is currently switched off....or received a busy tone. I think Web express people using for their work...please tell me is that ok....or they will send me a bill. And there is any way of knowing that my connection is terminated or not.

I talked to the Customer Head in my City and they said...you will get termination slip after 1 week because we have to show that we try our level hard so that you dont terminate the connection. But you will not be charged for the period from date you surrender the phone.

They given me handset return slip and also adjusted 1000 Rs security in my existing bill. But dont give any termination slip. But write on a bill that this connection is surrender by customer.

That's the main problem...if i enable there then no ftp able to connect on the main server. And that settings is for on which internet is shared (client)

Yes, i am using Windows XP SP2 and what do you mean by "options By enabling d Ftp server & many other things." please explain...step by step

Well, the problem is when i enable a Internet Connection sharing on the main comp on which i am connecting then i am not able to connect the FTP server, but when i disable that then i am able to connect. Anyone can tell me why....and how to resolve

Guys, I want to take a BSNL broadband connection and want to confirm..that my friend says, it doesnt matter you taje 256kbps connection or 512kbps connection speed comes same in both the plan. Please tell me is that true. And secondly, P2P applications like (overnet, edonkey, kazaa) works fine on bsnl connection (no blocking of port or something). Please guide me with your experience...what's speed you are getting in the peaktime or in night time. And there is any downtime.

Reliance BB is available in metros like in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkatta etc.. But not available in small cities I talked to Reliance guys several times and from last 2 years they are saying will be launched in next 4-5months, now the latest date is in february. Anyone have any confirmation regarding this...

I have heared alot about the good speed of BSNL, but now talk about something regarding Bill. I heared lots of over usage bills are coming up and if you continue use ur internet after 8:00AM or before 2:00AM then whole data usage will be added in the paid one. BSNL dont have any tool to solve this problem yet.

If you are getting 30kbps in night then you are able to download around 75-90MB in night. Are u able to download....please confirm? I think dataone site dont shows collective data usage, they show log of every time you connect, so may be you have not calculated properly or they are also same as Reliance (cheating in data usage). Anyone knows from which get faster speed, connection through USB port or ethernet port, or doesnt matter.

Thanks racoon for information, btw you have tested a speed on any system in which more than 256kbps connection have. So, how much speed u get in day time and in night. And that's true and no doubt in that the BSNL customer care s**ks. The Huawei modem u get from BSNL have a USB port because i heared in new modems USB port is coming up. Can you post Huawei model no.

Well, i am through some light that i am also a core downloader and i am never in que to download anything....that's right not able to utilize full but around 80% i am able to utilize and that's why i am able to download 480MB in whole day (20MB per hour) from reliance dialup connection on LG-LSP340E, and think that's not bad. And that's why want to know that P2P and torrent site download works fine on BSNL, there is no blocking of ports or something.

In peak and in night you get same speed or this is fluctuating like have you seen in relienace. And any friend of yours take bigger plan...if yes, then there is any difference in speed.

abhey, btw i have asked something else, if you can answer those questions then it is much better. And BSNL have 2:00AM to 8:00AM unlimited data. So, I will download much more in those 6 hours that i am able to download in whole day from Reliance. So, that's why i am asking how much speed and in different plans getting really difference in speed

But BSNL dont have any unlimited plan, that makes difficult downloading lots of stuff.

Yes, for downloading movies that's a good plan and your IP will be different everytime when you connect the Rconnect.

If you are already in old plan like platinum (Rs 1500/- unlimited) and then move to any new plan mentioned on previous page then you cant again take this old plan (platinum) but if you continue this plan then no problem. And you also dont move in the old plans as an old data based subscriber because those plans are not available for anyone anymore. Those plan are hidden now.

You guys dont have to analyze from where the mail come from because i am sure that mail come from Reliance.
