  1. Two companies that are losing their market shares in their respective sectors coming together!!!!!!! Whether they can create a magic, only time can tell!!!!!
  2. I also feel that Videocon must be watched out for. Seeing their tariffs (the 25 ps/min local and std) I have a rather strong hunch that this might be a frontline company acting on behalf of RIL. Especially considering the fact that Manoj Modi (Director, Reliance Industries Limited) owns a 15% stake in the Videocon mobile services company.
  3. I fail to agree with you. Until now even i was of the opinion that RCOM was an acquisition target on the radar of RIL. But after the recent turn of events I fail to think so. I definitely agree that with sentiments so low, RIL may be able to acquire a huge chunk of RCOM for a very low price considering the hammering of the RCOM stock. But at the end of the day if such a share exchange takes place, RIL would not be buying an asset but LITIGATION!!!!! Rcom is in deep trouble especially after the link ups with Swan etc. They are in the news for all the wrong reasons you can think about. Actually I was also of the opinion that the unity of RCOM and RIL would have been a huge boost and would have complimented both their respective requirements in a huge manner and they would have been able to create a telecom company of such huge magnitude which was until now unheard in the Indian Telecom Industry. It would have been the only company with pan India 2G and 4G licenses and also a few 3G circles (pan India 3G also if they enter into network sharing agreement with other 3G operators in other circles). But now it is a distant dream!!!!!!!!!RCOM would have got the much needed cash and RIL would have relished on RCOM's telecom infrastructure to support its 4G coverage
  4. Reliance Launches "My Statement" Service For Prepaid

On GSM i am getting the details of the charfeable transactions in the previous 24 hours but in CDMA I am getting the NETWORK BUSY message.
  5. Reliance Launches "My Statement" Service For Prepaid

Am based in Bangalore. Got the network busy message on CDMA prepaid mobile Not tried on my GSM yet!!!
  6. ADAG Blames Rumours as Stocks Tank

Each time his share prices nose dive, Anil AMbani addresses the media stating that a CARTEL IS AT WORK and also shoots letters to SEBI asking for an investigation!!!!!!!! My question is why are ADAG stocks being the target of "cartels" as Mr. AMbani calls them? In fact they are the worst performing stocks, so what is the need to form a cartel to beat them down anyway????
  7. MNP Retention Offer You Received

Absolutely no good offers from RCOM on the ocassion of MNP!!!! Seems like they are not interested to retain their customers!!!!!
  8. ^^^^^^^^^^^^ The government is clearing the way for MDA to offer voice calls on his 4 G network. The delinking of spectrum from license is a positive for MDA. Now they can just pay an additional 1651 crores and acquire an UAS license and also offer voice calls. (UAS licenses are technology neutral)
  9. Reliance GSM In New Delhi

    ^^^^^^^^^^ Good one!!!!!!!!!
  10. Reliance Launches Rs.49 Unlimited R-2-R Calling Pack

Validity of seven days????? Seems like the Airhell Guys in RCOM are making merry!!!!!
  11. Mobile Tariff Set To Go Up

A positive way of looking at it is that delinking of spectrum from license would mean that Infotel Broadband (The Mukesh Ambani Company going to offer 4G LTE services pan India) can easily offer voice calls on their 4G network by paying an additional 1651 crores for pan India Unified Access Service License. I hope my understanding of the same is right!!!!!!
  12. MTS Launch

Anyone using MTS in Bangalore? How is the coverage. I am currently usingg RCDMA. Planning to port to MTS. ANy suggestions/opinions?
  13. I Have Ported My Number To....

^^^^^^^^^^ These would be the initial teething problems. Sure these would go away with the passage of time!!!!!!!!
  14. ^^^^^^ No. It means that you can recharge for Rs. 112 every month and get the double benefit of talktime+free minutes for the next 12 months with the minutes having a validity of 30 days from the date of last recharge. Also not sure whether the minutes would be added up if u recharge during the existence of the validity period. For eg. if you have 10 minutes of local calls free, and also a validity of 1 day remaining. If you recharge for Rs. 112 will your minutes account show 109+10 minutes and validity get extended from the date of recharge?
  15. MNP Retention Offer You Received

Seems like RCOM has decided to pass over the whole MNP issue. Not a single response from their side with respect to MNP!!!!!
  16. ^^^^^^^^ Thanks for the reply. What about with RCOM?
  17. All About LTE

    Excellent article!!!!! +1 to you
  18. Samsung Guru 559

In reliance Website they have listed Samsung Guru B-559 and they claim that the memory of the phone can be expanded to 8GB. I have the phone and never came across any such slot!! Link: http://www.rcom.co.in/rcom/handset/handset_comparator.jsp If the link is not working Go to RCOM website, Click on Handsets, Click on CDMA Tab, Then in the options click on Samsung. All Samsung phones would be listed. Check out the features of Samsung B-559
  19. I am planning to buy a Reliance Hi speed device. I had a few queries about the same. If I purchase a Broadband + device: a) Will I be able to recharge with the 1x plans if I do not require the broadband speeds? Will 1x recharges work?
  20. Vodafone, Idea everyone waking up to MNP. RCOM still sleeping
  21. Good offer!!!! Seems like they are concentrating on the revenue generating postpaid subscribers and not yet on the prepaid subscribers!!!!
  22. In Bangalore also RGSM is quite good. No problems as of now!!!!!!!
  23. As usual Reliance is sleeping over MNP!!!!!!!!!!
  24. ^^^^^^^^^ Forget promoting CDMA by RCOM they are not even promoting GSM for MNP at least here in Karnataka!!!!!! God only knows where they will end up
