updated.. all runing good.. data is running good too .. like before.. no change in setting required for me. i think if anyone has any doubt then they shd save the info on qspt and load the info from the saved file. that way they wont have to worry about any setting which might have been acccidently changed. sms going ok too.. yahoo mail available and running unlike before . all facebook contacks being syncronised with phone contacts.and e mail too.. wow. reliance prl is and was 001. speed and lag are ok .. have 140 contacts..

am on 1.5 stock.. and if i updgrade to 2.1 from the htc or sprint site.. wont it update the reiance prl and other settings? or its safe to do that just like we did on the windowsmobile phones.? especialy the mobile no, data settings and all that.? since im not rooted is there any disavantage if i go to this rom and lose my rootability as its an ruu? i also want to replace my old 2gb memory card with a 4 gb one. how do i incorporate it with my new install? dont mind losing my data on old card .

Well, that comes with 2 year contract ... and you have to pay a fixed amount monthly to the service provider ... its not at all useful for us ... I have seen a few deals in the ebay and similar websites whcih offered the phone with out contract some where between 250 - 350 $ not pretty sure how you mean, Hetal,... I was figuring out a phone bought from US, without a contract, can be unlocked and we can use it here .. yes ofc - it involves a lot of stuff to do before it can be used here... I have been going through the steps in this forum along with those in mobile-file.us , xda developers etc Yet to have a complete "How To" to do the stuff.. ( still in the learning stage! ) Vinod! yes u can easily get one from us from e bay, u shd know how to figure out the rules before u buy thru e bay.(look for brand new handset with box etc, and buyer with high ratings), preferably buy a handset which has a locked esn by sprint(yet brand new).as that will be much cheaper, it will be easy to get help on here, with the procedure. i also did it that way, provided u have the heart to take some risk, people here are very helpful and will help u thru the way. msg me if u want any help.also u shd be able to play with softwares and all that if u want to do it urself.the complete procedure cannot be listed here as there are restrictions. get it 1st and then do it step by step. the 1st part is clearly listed in the links given around. when u come to the reliance part u can get some help around. good luck.

finally im on a hero.. everything working... i was amazed and touched by how members from here helped me with the process..esp rahuja.. ..

thanks i was finally able to get qxdm working .. now the problem is cdma workshop demo shows my hero port is com 7 and demo version u cant read or connect to port 7.. only till port 4. cant get working cdma workshop.? so i cant acess my super spc.. and go forward.. anyone has cdma workshop? working full version? or do i change my ports which im not sure will work . i was able to connect to comp and sync my outlook and install diag drivers n all.

whenever i pasted that link . it automatically changed to .com from .us.. but it started working today evening the us site. i pasted the link .. so it coudnt be wrong.. i have downloaded qxdm 3.9.19 but it doesnt install on vista and keeps saying installatin aborted as this needs internet explorer 5.0 or higher.. ( searched forums and quite a few people had this error). can anyone please provide a working qxdm for vista. i downloaded a vista fix for qxdm but coudnt understand that and no one in the forum posted that it worked.

friend.. id never ask anyone for help without searching before. its just that i cannot acesss mobile files site.. at all.. i read somewhere that the site is down or something. i have tried to access the site from 3 different computers. either my airtel isp is blocking it or maybee it is down.i have still tried reading a few posts in the cached version of google.all searches about this issue leadto mobile files and frustatingly i cannot access it. as i have mentioned u in the mail i have downloaded the programs and gotten some idea of the details. i even tried loading my ppc6700 and accessing it with the super spc. the mobile-files site has a good guide but i cannot just access it somehow. besides still there are some doubts which i would like to clear before i attempt it. and i cant ask those on here as u know. haath pair aur sir bhi maar chuka hun. so some help would be really appreciated before i start. thanks.

need help to get my hero on reliance. have a ruim 6700..with a ruim card in it..sprint hero has bad esn but is brand new..have google sync, qpst, cdma workshop demo, diag drivers ready..have read a tutorial somewhere..and understand that after getting spc u need to go into qpst etc.. but dont know where does the ruim card figure in? please help as dont want to brick it. shd it shd be rooted before doing all this? thanks

i was hoping for a better answer.. quoted from muffadal s post on the other thread. or this!!!! is this answer to keep exclusivity? or technical reason.. ive been on this forum for less than 3 years now.. and i do get here when its time to change a handset.. but when i did change it last time ..i got a ppc 6700 from sadik.. i was active here for quite some time.. i only stopped when most people moved on to 6800 and so on..and there wasnt much 1 could comment about..i do believe in sharing knowledge whenever one gets the oppurtunity. i was just trying to get some help to know about the techinical details about a new handset which im sure goes about the spirit of rimweb.. and also which im sure most people would love to know about.. i do understand its not easy to program motorola handsets but then it would be nice if someone gave me some technical details or atleast some idea about the reasons it cannot be done.

mufaddal if i get a motorola droid will u be able to help me get it on reliance? on data thru the L1 plan and all? u said it wasnt very hacker friendly. but with the latest rooting and all is it possible if i get an unlocked phone? i read that the unlocking and usage is possible for 1x but nnot evdo.. it reverts back to verizon when u restart it. since we are only using 1x here. can it be done for that and used for data and voice n sms? i read that someone in mexico has done it but charges 75$ for cracking the evdo and all. so sooner or later it will get shared on forums. hope u can make it work for reliance here? i have L1 plan.thanks

buddy i cant hold it in my hand thats why i asked here.. please if u could give me a technical answer .. like u always do.i know u cant use them both simultaneously.. but still if u want to go from cdma to gsm u have an option. are u talking about tp2 or just tp? talking about weight? i understand u feel android is better but dont u think almost all applications are similarly available in wm and android..

is anyone using tp 2 on relaince with data and all? and also switching it with gsm? why hasnt it gotten popular here? considering mnp will come soon and then many people can change over to gsm without having to change their handset? it looks decent and has a good talktime too..6.5 hrs for cdma which is a lot. why is everyone still after the hero ? considering this has both gsm and cdma options

is motorola droid working on reliance? can i get one and program it easily? will the L1 plan work on it like it did in the ppc6700? i can do unlimited browsing on that plan. using the UtS... etc username.. will it work similarly on the motodroid and hero etc or i have to have a seperate data plan? i ve heard people are having reliance on the moto droid here.. but is it easily done? and would a bad esn matter?

hi guys can sumone tell me if it is better to buy a new bad esn phone or a slightly used good esn or unlocked hero? can the bad esn in us be used here easily? hope they wont be a programing nightmare? or it just that they cant be used on the original carier?
