hi, i have used an extended battery for ppc 6700 2 times(for around 2 years). it was not good. even though was 2600mah. it lasted almost like a normal original battery. the acb power meter showed normal discharge. i did all the mentioned things about discharging initially. but i think the polymer batterys arnt good. the 1st few cycles were good and then they went down very fast. so avoid those. i have tried emergency charger(not this one though) also but these things will not usually charge ur battery but just keep the phone on. as they just transfer charge till the voltage of the phone and cell in charger balances.these pda chargers are also availabe in india. from apc and u can put rechargeble cells in those and use them in emergency.they have a chip in them which only allows oneway current transfer but i doubt if its very effective.

data on 24 hrs !!!.. hope u use the poor diamond as a phone too..lol..

so is this possible on any touch pro which has been bought with a plan in the us ans used? or only with a clean esn ? or a bad esn will alsso work? like the ones from e bay will work?

in my diamond, wehn i go to connections, i get 2 options my isp & Reliance mobile world when i tried connecting with MW, i got the same old message to buy their data plans blah blah i called cc and they asked me to use my isp and make a new connection with my cell # w/o 0 as username and password. and with that i cud connect to the net. Then i changed the user name n pass to UTS one since i m on DAPO and the internet is working perfectly. now tell me whether I m using MW or netconnect ? in your diamond? so are u using diamond on reliance? from sadik ?i didnt think it was possible? or did u buy it from reliance?

why hasnt the diamond been able to work with reliance yet? has there been no solution to the esn accepting problem? can the ruim holder be soldered easily as it was done for my 6700 sadik? what about the touch pro? the battery life tweaks mentioned above are only helpful to some extent. besides whats the point of having such a phone if cant use anything.. i use my bluetooth all day. even the wifi shd be usable to some extent. my ppc has given me a good 2 year usage after changing the battery once. thanks to sadik and company. only problem is battery life which ****s and i cant get an extended battery coz the ph as it is looks like a wireless set. but i wont mind a touch at around 16 k with an extended battery which could give me a decent standby and talktime with most features enabled. do telll me some solution for the touch on relaince. i dont want to give up the dapo plan.otherwise im outa relaince as soon as the no portablilty hits..nowadays a day of battery life is nothing. the latest pda s have 8 hours plus of talktime.. which is 2 times the amount of the 6700 or 6800..that kind would give u 3 days of decent use.. besides having to plug in the battery everyday will cause problems after a year or so of usage with the jacks which will stop charging n all..

sadik does your diamond work with reliance yet? i keep hearing tata but not reliance. i heard the battery life of diamond is not good. but i guess an extended battery can be added? whats the cost for that?

insitu1962 i use skype on my mobile.ppc6700. it works good on the r world connection.. havnt tried r connect. it is not very clear but sometimes it works good. it shd work very good on wifi. iv heard another one also works. mig 33 or something. i havnt tried voip as such though i heard an integrated version is available in the kitchen.. any one else uses it regularly..? and if their voices are clear.?

i have been using this sony HBH DS200 headset with my ppc6700 for almost 8 months now.. it is similar to this htc headset.. i got it from sony with warranty for rs 2900 then.. im sure it is cheaper now.. u can use any headset with it.. it has a clip and loooks cool.. and its a sony.. voice command works great with it.. even though the ad2p is hacked in the ppc 6700 and the voice quality and music is superb.. even with the given speakers.. no skipping or anything and the range is around 5 meters.. the talkime is around 5 hours.. and it works for me for around 4-5 days.. and charges in 2 hours.. depending on the usage..and its sturdy and it even has a battery display in it which can tel u if the battery needscharging.. it has 34 marks in it... like a cellphone battery. it has a pen like shape and goes into my shirt pocket or clips to my t shirt..like a pen. u can google it to see what its like..

sorry it cant be done..i have used that handsfree for a long time ..it isnt meant for pressing to dial or accept so it defeats the purpose... besides be careful .. using a ppc6700 with handsfree can cause problems with ur phs jack..which might led to not being able to hear anything on ur ph.. the jack inside ppc is very sensitive.. and if any of the metal strips bend or distort ..which will happen after sum time of using it.. , ull have problems.. i had such problems after using that for a few months.it can be corrected by tinkering with those pins but no point in risking it.u wont hear anything unless u put in the headphones.. its better to get a blue tooth instead.. there are many stereo blue tooth headsets available.. Thank you very much for your advice. I have Nokia bh200. But using the bluetooth is reducing the battery life drastically. That is the reason I tried for headset. Anyhow, I will use my bluetooth only. Thank you once again for your response. bluetooth doesnt cause much battery usage.. the difference between idling 6700 with bluetooth on and bluetoth off is around 2mah.. its like 34 to 36 or 37.. which is miniscule.. and when u talk thru it .. its a little more but never causes drastic loss of battery.. i have tried all these tests with acb power meter.. u can search forums or try it urself.. then ull realise u were just worrying without reason.. and can use ur bluetooth without worry.. ur low battery usage might be because of the rom or radio or old battery or signal coverage. you are welcome.

the difference is touch has a double ram 128 compared to 64 of 6800.. thats the main tradeoff.. if u want to seriously use gps or 2-3 programs together.. ram is the thing.. otherwise ull have hangups and will have to reboot often to free up ram.. most working roms of ppc6700 or 6800 leave around 15-20mb maximum free for u to run ur programs. compared to 50-60 plus for touch.. i doubt if u can use maps or gps along with the phone or surfing or a couple of more applications.. but then u rarely need these applications together. the good thing about 6900 is the keyboard if u msg lots.. and the wifi.. if u dont have a data plan and dont want to spend money on one.. u can use the wifi in 6800 anywhere at a hot spot.. or even if u travel abroad.. u will be stuck with a useless touch without wifi.. the touch also doesnt have a flash.. which i use lots like a torch in the car or to look for dropped things or keys at times..its there on the 6700 and 6800 .. i have been using a 6700 bought from sadik for over a year now.. no complaints.. apart from that its very bulky. the only problems i have with it are ram issues.. so u have to make up ur mind depending on what u use.. if this cdma touch had wifi like its gsm counterpart i wud surely have gone for it. because reliance seems to be charging higher n higher for data.. and if u cant use it for data. then a ppc is totally useless.. might as well take a 777rs ph. if u dont havea plan or its to expensive atleast u ll have wifi which can work anywhere for free.. coffee shops, offices, malls. airports.. and abroad ..soon most places will have wifi.it ll work even if ur phone is out of coverage. 6800 users please correct me if the ram is better on it compared to 6700..

i dont think that is the case .. it shd be easily possible. just use the noid utility i think ur using the ruu .. which will sy the same for any rom.. are u able to load other roms? or just not able to load the 3.5?

Please help me out wit one more thing....M i right in wat i m thinking bout taking a r world plan n surfing unlimited.Thanks in advance. u can only do surfing if u have proxy disabled.. nototherwise.. and i also think there is no unlimited surfing plan out there now.. its only for dapo customers.. correct me if im wrong.. im talking about reliance mobile world.. netconnect is different.. its more expensive.. charged per minute... u can chose depending on ur need. if u want more data use netconnect.. if more time like instant messaging use mobile world.. @10 p/10 kb or sumthing.. not to sure..

using ppc 6700 for a year now.. no virus problem yet... besides ull be upgrading ur rom ever 2-3 months at an average so ull eventually delete any virus which u might get.. but i think i havnt heard anyone on any forum report any virus before..iv been reading these forums for more than a year now... if there was sumone wud have surely mentioned it. so enjoy it without fear..

you are not entering bootloader mode i think.. u have to press 2 buttons together and then soft reset simultaneously u will see a dark screen with v 1.00 or v1.02 or sumthing written on the sreen .. and also u are probably not hard resetting properly. u have to press both soft keys together and then reset simultaneously. if u hard reset properly then u will get a white screen with ----- load factory defaults Y/N written on it. then u have to open ur keyboard and type y. if u dont get any of these things on ur screen u arnt pressing the right buttons and need to read the instructions properly..

iv been running wm6.1 on my apache for around 3 weeks now.. its readily available for ppc6700 on the ppc site..???????

hi i just ordered one from here http://www.infinitybatteries.com/p-2307-ut...on-polymer.aspx wait till it comes and let me check it out then ill let u know if its worth it. they ship for same amount worldwide . otherwise i think O2 batteries might work in this if they are the same size and configuration but im not sure.. u can check it out at sum mobile battery dealer. check the voltage and mah and size.. thats it..3.7 v 1350 is the stock battery mah.. this is a little more than that. sadik had them before i think . not sure if they are still around..

hi guys time for sum action again on our ppc s .. just cooked this rom for reliance.. based on hetal s settings given to helmi for wm6.. this is supposed to be a stabler rom than the 1st one. most issues have been sorted out. using it for a day now... everything working good.. i ll post the list of things in it.. in detail later touch flo cab is added seperatly.. install it later.. do not let customisations run from your previous ext rom... touchflo works now.. based on frosts latest 1.4.1.... u can scroll anything in the device with this touchflo without having to install any scroll manager.. u can add the cubes later on.. if u want it but they slow up things.after every soft boot click on ftouchflo thru program files to start it as i havnt included the touchflo launcher. just turn off beam after installing it.. using noid ruu here... so use bootloader mode only to avoid country error.. follow previous instructions again.. bootloader mode.. battery charged.. no power cuts and all.. back up , can use pim for that.. this has pim 2.5 yahoo go. wm storage windows live htc home 1.5 phone codes working smart dial working ringer sound is ok wifi fixed stereo bluetooth fixed(not checked by me) 10 button comm manager usual adobe office 2007 audio manager modem many more ... no cyberon.. seperately installed added voice command works. anyone wanting to cook his rom can download the kitchen from ppcgeeks.. but sadly it doesnt have reliance prj in the kitchen.. this can be derived by encoding thru the wm6 original by helmi for reliance. but u need .net for all that.. so the lazy people can just install this tested rom.. download here Download

i think ur not going to the bootloader mode at all.. u prob just reset it.. u have to press 2 buttons and reset simultaneously.. then u ll see serial written on ur screen in dark..and on connecting to the usb u ll see usb.. also mention the bootloader of ur ph which u will see below serial. sumtimes it doesnt work with the really new bootloaders .. 1.0 and 1.02 usually work..2.02 2.03 might give u truble. there are separate utilities for running thru that bootloader instead of ruu noid.. and i d suggest people to wait a bit.. am working on the latest wm6 kitchen which is stabler and better than this with many more facilities.. ill upload it when i get a decent stable working rom..

yes it does i just updated the list of things in there.. u get the full features and even more. hetal missing u here.. still dont have the tools to convert cabs to oems.. and all the works to make polished things like u did..

i have been using wm6 since the 1st day it was released. i have saved quite a few times on pim anticipating a hard reset. no hangups at all.. ever. ring tone maybe a bit lower but telephone ring 3 is very loud in fact i was surprised by its loudness.. bt i dont use so that i have no idea. phone is faster than 3.5. definately. 1st few mins its a bit slugish but once u let it do whatever it wants in the backgrund its very fast. i used microsoft voice command with it flawlessly. announces my apointments. even ph calls sumtimes if i need. n i can dial any name i want to. smart dial works. u can ssign 6 names on the htc screen which works very fast n reliably. hanging may be related to the htc weather part of the htc screen. just disable it. now the kitchen is out also for wm6. it ll give u faster roms soon. ph codes work. u just need to add a few tweaks. there is a memory leak problem. if u use a few applications the memory free comes down till 17 mb from a frest post soft reset of 26. i think that happened in 3.5 also thus it was set to reset every morning at 7.am. u can confirm that for me. the tweaks given for wm6 r improving it every day. wait for a stable rom which be released any day. . they are also making touchflo and cube work on this. it also works on 3.5 i think. so keep looking...
