Hi ! I want to buy a rel handset for my family just to receive calls. I want to buy the cheapest one. Here (U.P.) i am getting samsung boss as the cheapest handset for rs. 2400 along with the connection and free talktime. Could u plz. suggest some other cheaper handset ?

I too faced a lot of problem with usb cable of 2030, i had to change atleast 7-8 cables finally i tested original cable, it worked smoothly, then from the same shop i got a cable for rs 350 and it is finally working very fine. actually 2030 usb cable have diff chipset and drivers at reliance web site are different for the usb convertor, it would be a luck that software accompanied with the cable matches with its chipset.

No Rs. 500 is just the internet usage charges, apart from this u will have to give dialup charges that is around Rs 10 per hr in day and 4.80/hr in night. ya u can use this sancharnet card with on unlimited dialup usage plan too that is available for rs. 400 approx per month but requires a separate telephone connection (ad-on)

I am using a usb cable with my rd 2030, now i want to change over to 5130 or 6130 (LG) . will i be able to use the same cable on my new handset. anyone tried ?

I see the fading starts the day free rconnect was over. Its not a guess its true.

In case of Prepaid : Listen announcement listen "if u are not able to use your acccount", there is an option. In case of Postpaid : Under postpaid option (3), there is an option. Yes ofcourse there's nt any direct option to go to CC

i have tried that earlier but, "make this folder private option" is not highlighted, and the help says "This option is only available for the folders in ur user profile (my documents,desktop,start,favorites)", this means as this is folder on a separate drive, so i cant give it a password"

My pc has four partition (C,D,E,F) xp in loaded in D. partition F is NTFS all other are FAT. is it possible to password protect (from other users) a folder in F. (as i know only NTFS folders can be protected). Presently F drive is totally blank. please guide me step by step. <POST MERGED!>

No.......... 1/2 hour updation doesnt seem to happen, my r connect charges are still being deducted after 12-30 hrs. the same should be the case with rworld and sms too, though i havent checked that.

Hi ! Using 55 Toptup voucher is working fine for me.. it stands for a day or two and i continously enjoy rconnect. the day i dont want to use net i do not recharge and use it for incoming. This is really much better than platinum plan (rs 1500). (but only till the moment reliances starts real time billing for r connect.)

my phone too (ld 2030) gives this message but only if i have a zero balance (means barred data services) after i recharge i get it running within few minutes of hours.

i recharged again at 11 am but my data services started in evening at 8:30. i contacted many times to CC but u know they are s***ers.

i too using same cable and phone on my laptop, it gives me same problem (sometimes) what actually happens in my case is that default modem for all connections automatically sets to internal modem of my laptop. so i have to restart and everything becomes ok.

ya its right that after charging through 369 the balance dont become zero instead stop just near zero at 1 or 2, but all the data services(rworld,rconnect,sms) stops. one more thing i noticed, earlier reliance used to deduct all data charges main in the night after 1 or 2 days, but now i see my balance reduces 3 -4 times a day without making outgoing calls just doing the net. it may be painful fo rconnect through topup vouchers now.. lets see i will keep informing abt my usage of toptup cards for net, yesterday (1st) i started with first card of rs 199 valid for one month , it gave me net till todays noon, now in night i charged a toptup 55.

using topup 55 for net would be great.. it is much and much better than 1500 unlimited plan. as r connect charges are deducted either in 1 or in 2 days. what i think is we will need to refill a maximum of 20 topup (rs 55) cards in a month along with a Rs. 200 (one month validity) in starting. so that way total expenses will be Rs 1300. we will use unlimited net plus unlimited sms for approx full month and plus plus we will get a talktime of around 550 to make outgoings this is really great... today i bought 20 topup @ rs 53/-. lets see what happens.....

one of my friend working in a WW at bareilly told that reliance is coming with a prepaid recharge voucher for unlimited free net.... the cost would be around Rs. 700 with one month validity and would be available in coming april. if it is true it would be a great fun..... hope it is what reliance is doing to compete the braodband providers....... ????

no you cant send the mails while connecting with ISP other than BSNL. the same happens with vsnl too... i confirmed at bsnl CC u can send the mails only if you have connected with the same ISP(bsnl) otherwise try webmail from bsnl (their site)

i am also facing the same problem... i have a serial cable for rd 2030 that i want to connect to my laptop usb port through separate usb/serial convertor... i successfully installed the driver for the convertor and during r connect my phone was also recognised and installed the driver.. but later on on connecting... my phone shows a data call while r connect shows verifying the username password... after some time it gives that message (721 ppp peer not responding") i havent tried 50 times to check if it connects sometime on not... my serial cable is working perfectly with my desktop... i think either some problem is with the convertor or its driver.....

i have a lg 2030 working fine with serial cable, but recently i bought a laptop that doesnt have any serial port. so i bought a usb for the same... but i have tried 4 different cables and different softwares from different source but i could not install the rconect software... it doesnt detect my phone on any available port... it first installed the usb-serial converter driver.. that was installed successfully..... it created a port com5.. but still my phone is not detected.. i tried making a forced connection through dial up as mentioned somewhere in the forum.... but no... i doesnt connect.. its still working with serial cable on my desktop.......please help.

Hi guys After going through this forum and all related topics I recently formatted by nokia 2280 (postpaid) in a hope that it will work on prepaid gsk. i tried everything in this forum, tried directly changing postpaid to prepaid it didnt, later i tried formatting the phone... now it is searching for the network... i do not have data cable for it... is there any assured way to bring it back to normal (my old postpaid no) plz help (amitstg@gmail.com)

a dealer here (rampur u.p.) ask rs. 5800 against 2280 to 6130 exchange and 5600 from 2030.

Well i want to upgrade my rd 2030 to some anther set through hcc. how would i copy my existing phonebook to another plz. hlp. my ph bk has around 200 contacts.

No ! i dont think that sms are free with 440 Voucher as i am continously using 440 Voucher and once when i began sending sms after recharging 440 V the deduction in the balance was after 2-3 days..... earlier i too thought that sms gone free with 440 Voucher...i too did all sms within city limits and rel to rel. ya one thing is sure that rconnect is fabulously working since last 24 days meanwhile i recharged in between and balance too is not reducing (though i didnt check the balance) but i am still able to make all type of o/g calls.
