Kanaga ji, Here is a method. The source of this guide is this. It is for GSM version but should work. I have not tested it so be aware there is some risk. 1. Install Latest Kies from samsung website into your pc here click on the software tab exe file. 2. Download and install SuperOneClick 1.7 by ShortFuse here see the end of the post there is .zip file. If you are not XDA member download from here. 3. Unmount your sd card under setting>sdcard and phone storage setting>Unmount SD card and then remove it from your phone 4. Set your SGA into USB Debugging mode by ticking it USB debugging mode under Setting>Application>Developement>tick USB debugging mode 5. Run Kies and connect your SGA to your pc using the cable (for safety reason don't use bluetooth or other connectivity) 6. Once your Kies show that your SGA is connected to your pc, Extract SuperOneClick 1.70 into a folder using winrar. Antivirus should be off. 7. Run SuperOneClick.exe as administrator. 8. Press Shell Root and the it will temporary root your phone and a small window will pop out it shown "Device has a temporary ADB root! Reboot your device to remove it" 9. Click ok (don't need restart) and continue to press Root. 10. After finished root, it will pop a another small window called Test? and it will shown Root files have been installed! Would you like to run a test? Press Yes 11. another pop out window will pop out and show "a su. blah blah blah...." Just press ok 12. and finally window will pop out title Rooted will shown "Your device has been rooted!" "Would you like to donate now?" Press yes if you want donate or else press no 13. Kesav I do not believe the path is not important. Both the path and the goal are equally important. But I fail to see why Ramdev's path is any worse than Anna's. Both are non violent agitations with an agenda, both are so called satyagrahis, both are unelected civil society members trying to impose their thoughts of anti corruption on the elected government. One has a cleaner image, the other is more media savvy and outspoken. One has following among middle classes, the other has mostly rural mass based support. Their goals are same or similar. Why are you so bothered if RSS or any pro Hindutva leader attends Ramdev's meeting. This is a fact that is being highlighted by the Congress as if it is a crime. I stand to be corrected but has Ramdev put this anti corruption onus only on one religion and barred other religions from attending the fasts meetings etc.? I never have voted the BJP or the Congress never will. I feel very strongly about secular harmony in India and remember Godhra. But I feel very strongly about pseudo secularity and tying up with caste based parties too. If you want to tarnish BJP on Hindutva I will point out Congress wooing caste votes in the cow belt. The basic point is corruption vs anti corruption. Not you vs me, not Congress vs BJP, not Anna vs Ramdev. We might not support Ramdev's way of launching his agitation, but then we must not support how the government of democratic country silences protests. Whatever be Ramdev's intentions, whatever black white money he has, his demands were correct i.e. declare black money as national property and bring it back. This saffron vs secular nonsense is now a dead horse. Do not flog it up. It does not matter if Ramdev is pro Hindutva or anti Hindutva. What matters is he is anti corruption. Anyone can see the UPA is afraid to bow down to Ramdev or Anna because it sets precedent where democratically elected government has to listen to unelected civil society. The Congress has ruled India for the most duration. In turn, it has accumulated the most wealth. It has the most to fear. The centre's questionnaire is a bluff. No political party would be willing to respond to it. No point in slating the BJP. Even the communist parties have lambasted it. The government views the lokpal as a completely different body than what the civic society wants. Please let us not heap mud on Ramdev or anyone else who is working on this anti corruption movement. You are able to boot into recovery using ROM manager? Then there is no need to try terminal emulator. I presume when in ROM manager you select reboot into recovery option and the phone reboots and you are able to see few lines like reboot now wipe cache format data/factory reset backup/restore advanced etc. Open the backup/restore option and do a new backup. That will be a nandroid backup. When changing ROMs if something fails you can restore the nandroid it is a system restore. Please let me know if any queries.

This has been tested and is working on Epic 2.2 Syndicate Frozen ROM but should work for all custom ROMs (stock ROMs do not have deodexed kernels so would not work). As always keep a nandroid. Instructions: Copy bootanimation.zip to SD card. Use root explorer to copy bootanimation.zip to /system/media (this is for galaxy S phones, HTC possibly uses /data/local please check). @Kesav yes I also thought that Ramdev's way of protest was wrong moreover some of his demands are nonsensical. But the way the government has treated his protests is shockingly undemocratic. First try to bribe then try to beat. Also I must say the BJP and communists have not oppposed the Lokpal. It is mostly the Congress which is getting worried as it has the most skeletons in closet.

30+ New Malicious Apps Spotted In The Android Market Source. Over the holiday weekend, another batch of malicious apps were found in the official Android Market. According to the Lookout Security Blog (who, it should be disclosed, makes an anti-malware product for Android), at least 34 applications have been infected with a variation of DroidDream, the same malware found in the Android Market back in March. Researchers are calling this iteration of the malware “DroidDreamLight (DDLight)”, and expect that between 30,000 and 120,000 users have already been affected by the malicious apps. DDLight begins its trouble-making upon receipt of an incoming call, rather than waiting for the user to manually launch the application. From there, the malware grabs the IMEI, IMSI, model, SDK version and other information about installed packages, and can seemingly download and install other applications (though not without prompting the user). As it currently stands, malware like this is a mostly unavoidable caveat of open (read: loosely regulated) markets like Android’s. It’s the unfortunate wart hiding amongst Android’s many strengths. This means even if not rooted any unsupported phone outside the USA will not be able to use this. The workaround works for rooted/stock unsupported phones in the USA. The majority of Android devices are not compatible and initially this primary release is only “compatible” with HTC Incredible, Nexus One, EVO 4G, G2 and Nexus S. So it is not about custom ROMs it is about devices.
