  5. Did anyone get the new market?
  6. Nvidia Branded Mobile On The Horizon?

Good buy makes business sense. Even if they do not launch own branded phone, they will have a virtual monopoly of the baseband processor. This might give them leverage to push more manufacturers to adopt Tegra2. More manufacturers means prices drop. Tegra2 with GeForce GPU for everyone.
  7. That is the exact question many are asking on the internet. The netbook already offers the functionalities of Chromebook with addition of running full OS and user can install applications. I do not see any sense behind Chromebook and think Google has not given a good product. But then we have been proved wrong with tablets, many asked why would one pay for oversize iPod.
  8. Sprint Samsung Epic 4G - The Beast Is Here!

Use Seidio for extended battery they are expensive but worth it, chinese ones might blow up and render phone and ear useless.

  10. How To - Rworld / Tata Zone On Android

Install Anycut and enter the following settings hostname: wapgw.ricinfo.com port: 8080 URL: http://wap.rworld.co.in But for this the username password configured in your mobile needs to be RWorld not netconnect MDN/MDN. So be very careful else you will run up huge bills.
  11. RCOM might have realized but then it went to ADA who only focused on low end handsets.
  12. Inspiring Enterpreneurs' Startup Stories

BBC recognizes startups and here are some inspiring articles on Indian enterpreneurs. Indians are often said to be not having the instinct to step out of the herd, we would rather work for a boss than be the boss. These articles are hence more insightful. Kunal Bahl Snapdeal Murugavel Janakiraman BharatMatrimony Raghav Bahl Network18 Arvind Rao OnMobile Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw Biocon NR Narayana Murthy Infosys Here are some on non Indian enterpreneurs but good reads nonetheless. Tony Fernandes Air Asia Reid Hoffman LinkedIn Max Levchin PayPal, Slide Dom Sagolla Twitter, DollarApp
  13. Here are a few official Chrome videos, slick as usual after all made by Google.
  14. Good move by MTS. I like the way they are offering high end handsets on bundle deals. Other CDMA operators are mostly focused on low end handsets. If this succeeds then we might see trend of more operators going for bundled locked phones, which would be good for customers because they would get benefits of free upgrades etc, good for operator because they get assured revenue.

  17. Cr-48: Google Chrome notebook hands-on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZ0Tv9lpFgA&feature=fvst Here is detailed review. Good read. Note CR-48 is prototype and actual builds are reported to be much faster. Here is a refresher of what Google Chrome OS, and the newly announced Chromebook are all about: The Chromebook is a computer designed to work with Chrome OS It has a special boot process that makes Chrome OS start fast, in 8 seconds The boot process verifies your Chrome OS install ensuring that it is not tampered with and thus free of viruses and other malware. If there is any tampering, the system is repaired automatically The Chromebook supports WiFi and 3G The Chromebook runs Chrome OS Chrome OS is a Linux-based OS that is optimized to run ONLY the Google Chrome browser Chrome OS does not have any applications installed on it other than the Chrome browser One cannot install traditional Windows, Mac OSX, or even Linux apps on Chrome OS All your work needs to be done online using tools such as Google Docs (office applications), Piknik(Image editing), GMail (email), etc. One can install web apps from the Google Chrome Web Store (now including the popular Angry Birds) Chrome OS is stateless. i.e. since all your operations are performed on the cloud your netbook itself stores nothing. You can discard it log in from another device and have the same experience. Chrome OS keeps up to date automatically Chrome OS keeps your data encrypted so even if your device gets lost, your data is safe.

  19. Extremely worrying from privacy perspective because there will be no distinction between offline and online and everything will be in the cloud, the underlying OS is linux which will run one application - the chrome browser.
  20. Its All New Airtel Now

Indeed wave of bad service, unauthorized VAS, hidden charges which gives wave after wave of headache to customer. Finally customer will wave goodbye out of frustration.
  21. News Snippets

Google faces $500m bill over ad investigation In a regulatory filing this afternoon, Google disclosed that it was taking a $500 million charge in the first quarter, apparently to potentially settle charges related to a Department of Justice investigation of the company. Google didn’t elaborate, saying only that the probe was “into the use of Google advertising by certain advertisers.” The Wall Street Journal was first to report the news. The wording of Google’s disclosure was interesting, in that it said the investigation related to the use (misuse?) of Google advertising by “certain advertisers,” so perhaps Google would be liable for helping, or failing to stop, this use. Google spokespeople hadn’t responded to a request for additional information by publication time. Full report here.
  22. ^ Wow that cheap! Surely compared to that this is not a good deal I agree. I searched on the Sony website here but could not find it. Is that price grey market or online/official? Please share. The futurebazaar deal would offer warranty I believe so cannot really be compared to grey market price.
