Tutorial: How To Flash Sprint Moto X & any Moto G CDMA To Reliance CDMA
digitalnirvana replied to ::Hitesh::'s topic in Tutorial and Guides
I am going to like each post that HH makes on this thread Awesome work mate -
Gsm will work as it can handle lms but cdma cannot by default as you have to specify in the sms app to split more than 160 characters into multiple smses Google sending long message go sms pro and the instructions to change settings are given

Dipan ji, are you sure Airtel is offering 4G on 1800 Mhz, I thought Airtel is offering on 2300 Mhz using TDD-LTE technology, by the way they just started offering 4G on mobile phones(not sure where I read it). Oh my bad then RJIL has huge amount of spectrum in both 1800 and 2300 bands - you are right 2300 is for TDD and actually 1800 is for FDD (earlier used for 2G) -

Dada RJIL will have 2300 and 1800 Mhz bands and Airtel 4G at the moment is limited only to dongle not phones that too only on 1800 Mhz IIRC RJIL is going to have a 4G pocket router to which you can connect phone so one can theoretically tether 2G/3G phone using wifi -

Irresistable Deals In Electronics, Gadgets, Mobiles, PC Hardware
digitalnirvana replied to rajanmehta's topic in General Technical Discussion
I have had good experiences all through with them, but their refusal to replace a faulty product due to an argument over "damaged" or "not working" was astonishingly bad They went ahead and told me they would return the faulty product back to me and basically I can do whatever I want including going to consumer court but they will not help me All this over Rs 700 when I had bought tens of thousands worth of products from them earlier - guess who just lost a customer permanently They are not even responding to multiple E-Mails, not even an automated reply or anything- 6,376 replies

I would recommend buying from any other website than Infibeam after suffering horrendous customer service - they did not replace a Rs 700 faulty room heater due to their no-returns policy if reported after 72 hours - even though I was a repeat customer- 6,376 replies

Reliance Jio - Pan India 4G / LTE network
digitalnirvana replied to Arun's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
Vandan ji, Honestly, I do not know about imported devices registration so I can only speculate. My knowledge is very silo-ed If the imported handset supports the bands then purely technically there should be no limitation but I do not know what CRM processes will be used here - I hope ultimately the Nashikkar guru on our forum will do something about it The wifi thing is for home either via a CPE which will connect wirelessly to their towers or via fiber to the home - the picture of which is already posted on this thread - it is the same way that SFBB is being rolled out in other countries -
1. I do not need to shout or bold to get my views across. I bolded that post by mistake. I never ever write in caps or bold otherwise. You don't know me, don't judge me. 2. You did not discuss the +ves/-ves of Moto G did you? You just said we are "raving" about it. Did you even bother to back it up with a coherent argument or info? No you did not. 3. Yes, I recognize what is a debate and what is a wind-up. You are on the latter, swanning in to a thread and going against the popular view just to elicit a reaction. Well done, enjoy your 15 secs of fame. I find it sad that you had to look up my post history to take a swipe at me. Well done for wasting your time. Again, don't judge my posts. I don't judge yours. My rep speaks for itself. 4. No, this is not a debate. You made a statement not backed up with facts. That becomes a slagging off. If you really want a debate, argue logically for/against. Don't just say so-and-so is over hyped and we are all raving about it. That reeks of ignorance. @RM - we are getting derailed here, and I would appreciate if you can delete mine and gargoyle's posts to clean up the thread a bit

Reliance Jio - Pan India 4G / LTE network
digitalnirvana replied to Arun's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
Yes I know it is an open forum, I have been a member here for 7 years thank you I cannot let you all know insider info due to obvious reasons, and moreover I have no reason to do it when all you do is make sly digs at any "informed" views that I make First you openly wonder if the tariff is going to be worthy of the technology, then I say I have to reason to believe it will be, then you say you are not convinced, and then you expect me to justify why I say so? Is this a baiting game or what? Thanks but no thanks - you stick to your views and I will stick to mine You say you are expressing your views. May I ask based on what? I have info to base my views on. And I have already given my views. You, seemingly, have no info yet you question what I said - that is not "expressing views" sorry, that's just disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing I will not reply to your posts on this topic anymore -
Are you using stock SMS app? If yes in app settings enable split messages on CDMA networks option Else use Go SMS pro or handcent which has this by default It is a limitation of CDMA along with the original concept of SMS messaging

Reliance Jio - Pan India 4G / LTE network
digitalnirvana replied to Arun's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
The technology and scale is not just India first, but a world first Tariff remains to be seen as I am not privy to commercial information, but going by MDA's track record, expect disruptive pricing Not too sure about "disruptive pricing" with this. No one else is trying to take off the starting-line with them. But yes, we can always hope and expect Again, I find your posts today to be veiled digs, almost to get a reaction out of the other poster I work for them in some capacity and know some things as I have already mentioned in this thread. I do not claim to know commercial information though Feel free to interpret what you want -
What do you mean by rave exactly? Am I going to sell my house and buy it? No Am I going to appreciate that Motorola is giving probably the best specs at that price point, with good build quality, from a reputed brand, with optimized near vanilla Android, guaranteed OS updates, at the best possible price? Yes You seem to harp on about why we are excited about the Moto G? I will flip the question and ask you - why not? Give me another official Indian 14K phone with all that the G gives, with a brand on par with Motorola and I will praise that too I really do not get this irrational slagging as do others who have replied to you, so if you do not have something concrete to debate on - let us stop here instead of taking up bandwidth Also, it is much easier to stay out of the thread if all you are going to say is that the G is mediocre - because you know, I know and all of us know that it does not - it is built to a cost, and delivers the best bang for the buck. It is not a Maruti sold at the price of a Toyota. It's sole purpose is to aim at the cost sensitive markets and it is proving through it's sales numbers - even in developed markets - that it is doing a good job at it I am sure I will recommend a casual Android user to buy a G than an overpriced Galaxy Grand or something like that

Will Reliance shut down CDMA voice services?
digitalnirvana replied to suvirajshetty's topic in Reliance Communications
Only HP on here can confirm if RCom is going to kill/phase out CDMA voice Rest of us can only speculate
