hmmm. but if it was a MIN error then incoming calls would also have stopped working. But calls are working fine. OTA reprovisioning seems to be have been stopped recently - when i try *228, nowadays I get the message that 'the phone has already been activated'. I think I need to check the settings with DFS, but not sure which settings would be the right one to fix :-(

hi gurus, need some help with my cdma MotoG that was programmed from Boost and in to Reliance. Everything was working fine, but suddenly all outgoing SMS have stopped. every message i send fails. Mydroid DNA does dtect the reliance signal but activation is an issue aince *228 cannot work on a 4g phone. I was told that calls, SMS and data can be made to work by flashing the cinese radio version but havent been able to get my hands on the radio file yet. Also, boot loader unlock a required for flashing and the only tool that works for that is sunshine but its a paid tool. So, no, haven't been able to get Cdma working. GSM works fine though.

I figured out the issue, it's with the phone itself and its a common issue with the model. The fix is to put a layer of cellotape on the ruim and then insert it into the phone. It then picks up the signal. Still, it needs to be activated with a Verizon lte sim before reliance can work. So far I have managed to get signal but don't have a Verizon sim. So still not completely working :-(

if ur previous phone used a ruim, all u need to do is put that ruim in any android cdma phone and see the MIN number in the settings. to reprogram the phone, dont bother with all the commcenter stuff, just go to www.cdmatool.com, pay $10 and use DFS to reprogram your ip4 - its a much cleaner and hassle free process. but before you program your iphone, make sure that you get EVDO internet stopped on your old phone otherwise you will be stuck with 1x on your iphone. Pester the reliance store ppl to stop your evdo.

Hi, am getting an HTC DNA - seems to be a good set with 2GB RAM. It works on Verizon CDMA and also has unlocked GSM in it. But i want to use it on Reliance CDMA (GSM in delhi is so bad that I prefer cdma). Have looked on the net but I couldnt get a clear answer on whether the set would work on reliance cdma or not. Some people say that the SIM slot does accept RUIM and shows network ars of reliance, but a lot of people say that the set is locked to verizon. Has anyone in the forum tried the device before? ANy idea if it can be unlocked for reliance cdma? and what would it take to unlock it? thanks omi

That won't work at all. The commceter files are made by patching specific bytes in the file such that it skips reading the signature in the carrier bundle files. Each commcenter is specific to the os version - a file from 6.1.2 won't work on 6.1.3, far less 7. IOS 7 has a newer architecture and actually has 2 commcenter files inside :-( in the same damn folder!

Nothing absurd in that - iDFS replaces the PRL and the NAM details in the radio area that the phone uses actively. The 'stock' backups are maintained in a separate area that the phone refers to when you do an upgrade/ restore. It then pulls the data from here. When you program from the cydia method, the idea is to place the PRL in the backup area then trick the phone in to thinking that an update has happened so it picks up the new PRL (that's why the flags have to be made true and the false, and the values have to be incremented). Both methods will work fine and keep your phone operational on reliance even if you upgrade.

it works for all iPhone 4's. ##2539 is a standard phone command so it will always work on any phone. But in order to get ##626 to work you will need a patched commcenter. Currently that is only available for upto iOS 6.1.3 (i have copy of patched CM if u want). If you are on 7.x then you're out of luck (like me :-)). To enter the MIN and MDN you will need to do one of these: - rollback iOS to 6.1.3 - or use a tool like iDFS or iPhone Toolbox Verizon phones are easier to work with since their SPC's are 000000 by default, while Sprint phone never have zeros so you have to use some tool to reset that first. I've got a verizon phone with full talk and internet (1x only although, working on getting EVDO). I have a new iPhone 4 (Sprint) on 7.0.4, with MEID registered on Reliance (Thanks Tarun for that :-)), device is jailbroken, NAM programming done with iDFS. I can call *228 and hear the welcome message too. Now here's the strange problem - the screen shows no network bars and "No Service", yet I can call *228. Although activation does not work yet (i get error saying "your phone could not be activated, please contact Reliance...". I'm stumped! How can it say 'no service' yet seems to be catching the reliance network???????? Would it help if I pushed the reliance carrier bundle from http://appldnld.appl...in_iPhone.ipcc? Or would this one be the right file - http://appldnld.apple.com/iOS6.1/CarrierBundles/091-3163.20130614.rveey/Reliance_RTL_in_iPhone.ipcc? (sorry about the multiple edits, am an iPhone newbie :-)) . Hi gurus, I am trying to flash a Verizon iPhone to reliance and it somehow is not taking the prl. It is an iPhone 4 on iOS 6.1.3, with tethered jailbreak with redsnow, cydia installed, using Dfs to reprogram the handset. After reprogram when I read the data, the set shows the correct parameters but still no service. When I read the data from redsnow, the mcc shows 310 instead of 404 and prl says VZW. Even after Dfs, the prl does not seem to be sticking :-( I even tried loading the reliance prl directly in to the carrier bundle folders but it doesn't seem to have made any difference. Anyone know what I could be doing wrong? Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks Omi

Hello to all iPhone Gurus on Rimweb Checked google but couldn't find one available, so asking here. Anyone know if a Reliance carrier bundle exists for iphone 4? Or if any kind soul with a working iphone (voice + data) could help me with a copy of the bundle folder from thier iphone? (you can remove the passwords before giving it to me). Or just a fully functional copy of the carrier.plist file would also be very helpful. Thanks a ton omi

Did you use the chinese ROM available on the Internet? or is there an official ROM available for India? I've tried the Chinese ROM and had more troubles than the 2.1 Indian ROM :-(. The phone no longer recognized caller ID or network ID's properly - had to manually configure INternet settings, not to mention that the phone became extremely unstable and would hang frequently. I eventually went back to the India 2.1 ROM. I still have the Chinese 2.2 ROM if anyone wants it.

I have a BB 8130 that has been ported from Sprint to Reliance (got the MEID registered at Reliance). Voice is working fine but I'm not able to get any data on it - even RWorld won't work. I get an error that it is unable to connect to the network. Any pointers on what needs to be done (any settings) would be very helpful. I have the SPC of the set. Thanks

This works quite well on 9300 GSM without BIS/ BES. You will need to enable legacy service books, install a service book, set apn. Attached is the files you will need.This procedure is not recommended if you're already on BIS, since it will replace your email CMIME service books and cause your push mail to fail.
