Updated: 11-digit Mobile Numbers By 2010 - '9’ to be prefixed to all existing numbers
srk006 replied to Sadikk's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
^^^ all current numbers will be 99 XX XXX XXXX So they can introduce numbers like 98 XX XXX XXXX , 91 XX XXX XXXX . isn't that the plan? -
Updated: 11-digit Mobile Numbers By 2010 - '9’ to be prefixed to all existing numbers
srk006 replied to Sadikk's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
Is it not better to go for 11-digit numbering now itself rather than 5-6 years after. A number change for the last time ever... anyways, adding a 9 in front is not going to make any problem for existing numbers. Also unable to remember a number is not a good excuse, every one dials number directly from contact/phone book lists. right? -
Bsnl Data One Which Plan Is Better
srk006 replied to ayaz_cool's topic in Other Broadband Discussion
if you are not a heavy down loader go for H700 UL+ .. no risk of overuse/overcharging. peace of mind else go for combo 500 (2-8am free) -
that error is showing only when the sim tries to get configuration and its not available for that phone. I get that error if I insert the sim in a nokia 1110 but not when used with n73. Even after getting that error in 1110, calls and sms works fine.

srk006 replied to Arun's topic in The Lounge
so which is the fastest mobile broadband service in india? -
oh boy! Is it also applicable to CDMA users in TN? Reliance has to seriously reduce the netconnect charges on CDMA... from 60p/min to something like 10p/min...

Tata Teleservices Leads In New Subscriber Additions In November
srk006 replied to Mukeshlst's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
now that's real good feat by DoCoMo... every one was expecting their additions to slow down since per-sec offers are available with all operators.. but Tata's have proved them wrong.. DoCoMo is emerging as a very strong mobile brand. -
Vodafone (mumbai) Introduces Unlimited Sms Pack And Night Call Plan
srk006 replied to Mukeshlst's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Right!! well its the other way around ... people still think voda and airtel's offers are the best and they have the best network. People get carried away by their ads/jingle/brand ambassadors etc... -
Reliance Communications, Tatas Have Lowest Spectrum Efficiency
srk006 replied to Himanshu Singh's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
^^^ I didn't get that point. If stand-alone GSM towers are not connected to the optic-network, then how does it work?? Could you explain it a bit. -
Vodafone (mumbai) Introduces Unlimited Sms Pack And Night Call Plan
srk006 replied to Mukeshlst's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
^^^ well that's what I was also thinking RCOM CDMA +GSM should be compared as two different companies.. right? In that sense; spectrum for two networks + 33.5MHz= Airtel's spectrum -
wanted more details from people who received bills recently.. pleaseeee ...

Updated: 3G Auction completed after 34 days of bidding
srk006 replied to Arun's topic in Indian Telecom / General News

On a positive note; we should encourage people to try out new service providers. New players must break-even as early as possible so that they continue in business. If MTS and Tata is gone the biggies A,R&V won't spare a thought before threading UP the call rates. Hope you guys agree with this

Can we expect Google to launch the phone in Indian markets also?

virgin is going to be the brand for MTNL's 3G service only. http://www.cellular-news.com/story/40872.php

^^^ you mean no NUC is applicable for cdma?
-
^^^ no probs So what I understand from this thread is that cdma users have to pay 50p/mb + NUC for browsing with built-in browsers/opera (Is this right??) gsm users need to pay just 50p/mb (this is correct as I have myself used it)
